For the past year, Dru has put everything she has into building a catering business with her sisters. She’s so used to working until all hours of the night with them by her side, that when they both find love and move out, Dru decides to focus on something that has always weighed on her… finding the father who abandoned them.
For the past year, Mick has been living the good life. A content bachelor with his own business as a private investigator, he enjoys making his own decisions and answering to no one. When a couple of clients-turned-friends bring him in contact with Dru, his first thought is that he wouldn’t mind getting her alone for a night, but when she hires him that spark is extinguished. Mick doesn’t mix business with pleasure.
With their lives constantly entwined, Dru is more and more intrigued by Mick and becomes determined to get him to break his rules. Will they discover that even a seemingly perfect dish can be made better with the right amount of spice, or are they too set in their ways to even try?

I am sad to see the series ending. I love Bethany Lopez's books and this one was not an exception. I have high hopes that another set of siblings we were introduced to in this book will get a series and in this way, we will be able to see more of the three sisters. They are all men, so I think it will be fun to see them fall in love.
If I am not wrong, the timeline of A splash of vanilla, in the beginning, overlaps the timeline from the previous book, so some events might seem familiar to the people who have read A Touch of Cinnamon. If you have not read the previous books there is no need to worry since this book is completely a stand-alone. Keep in mind though, that since there is an overlap in the timelines this book has spoilers for the 2 other books, so if you plan on reading the series, start from the beginning.
There is some slow burning between Mick and Dru because Mick has a rule that he is not going to date his clients and hence, she is off limits to him. The attraction is there though and thankfully we didn't spend more than half the book wondering when they were going to decide to be a couple. After that point, everything was great and I loved how Mick consulted Dru before making a decision that could have an impact on her without thinking that he could just cover it up.
I didn't like the way Millie and Tasha reacted when Dru revealed everything to them. It was a human reaction, but Tasha was too angry for my liking. I wished the author had decided to spend a little more time on the sisters and how they came to terms with the revelation that they knew where their father was.
Overall, the book was a delight. I will be sad to see the sister go, but at least all of them got their happily ever after. I will keep an eye for the author's next release since I love her books. A splash of vanilla was another winner for me!
First of all, that WEIRD time jump at about 20% and the random kidnapping that made NO SENSE. It wasn’t built up, it wasn’t explained, it just HAPPENED. I get that there are two books before this, but it a reader just picked this one up, a little lead in would be appreciated, just saying.
Second, HARD DNF at the MC h’s love of Ben and Jerry’s at 72% and trying to get the MC H into it as well.
I don’t like to get political in my reviews and I prefer that the books I read don’t either. So this is all I am going to say on this matter.
1, I can’t recommend this, star.

Dru is the last lady standing and to be honest she's feeling a little jealous of her sisters. However, there is a hunk on the horizon, someone that has been her friend first. A man that loves his mom and is good with home reno! But there's a problem...he doesn't date clients no matter how strong the chemistry is between them and she's just hired him to get closure on an issue that is weighing on her. Will she get him to cross that line? Will she find the closure she needs? How will her sisters feel about what she's done? Could there be a positive spin to the events she has set in motion? I loved these characters. They really are meant for each other. We get to catch up with all the sisters and their lives as well as some new faces that could potentially lead to a spin off! Favorite scene - when Dru convinced Ma to move - LOVED it!
Dru is the final sister to meet her forever guy. We see her and Mick interacting in the first two books. Some of their story line overlaps the previous stories but we see it with fresh eyes from Dru and Mick's POV.
The author once again gives us a beautiful small town setting with all it's little quirks. The sisters are such a great family and so supportive of each other. Dru sets out to get some questions from the past resolved. Her and Mick has instant attraction but decide to wait a bit before they act on anything.
Great wrap up to the series but, wait! Some juicy nuggets may have been left hinting at more of the story to come. Can't wait to see what the author brings us. Nice little twist and it will be great seeing the sisters again if they happen to pop up in future books.
Loved the whole series!

Now that both of her sisters has found their HEA, Millie wants that more than anything. Between running their catering company and also wanting to find out more about her father, where will she get the time. How about the hot private investigator Mick who also happen to be looking into her fathers disappearance... But Mick has a no dating the client policy, so maybe its up to her to prove to him that they can be good together.
I loved this series, I read the first book in a day and kind of skipped the next one(but will be going back for it) and I really enjoyed Millie and Mick's story. Lots of drama and love to keep you entertained. And I have to say the narrators voice on this one was spot on. Definitely a good audio
Millie and Tasha found their happily ever afters. Isn't it time for Dru to have her turn? A Splash of Vanilla is the bittersweet conclusion to an enchantingly heartwarming family affair. Lopez has put a stamp on my heart with this whimsical trio. A tasty treat for the soul.
What a perfect ending to this series! I am sad to see it end but sounds like Bethany has something else up her sleeves and I can't wait so it may not be the complete end of the Three Sisters Catering. I loved the emotion that could be felt between Dru and Mick. I am trying to keep this spoiler free. So read A Splash of Vanilla!!
This is the third book of the Three Sisters. I have so enjoyed all their stories. Dru is feeling so left out as she is the only sister not engaged or married. I am sure that was hard for her since she has been so close to her sisters. Their father was a piece of poop that should never have been able to father children. Since Dru never reconciled her father leaving she hired Mick to find him. I was so glad to see how Mick stood up to Dru’s father for her. I was also glad to see Mick drop his silly rule of not dating clients as you can see how well Mick and Dru fit together. I though it was wonderful how much Dru loved Mick’s mother and wanted to spend time with her. There are a couple of surprises that was good and bad. I am hoping for more books in this series! I encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
4,5 estrelas
A Splash of Vanilla by Bethany Lopez “She’s more than just a client, 5 stars”
A Splash of Vanilla is the conclusion of the Three Sister’s series and I have been waiting for Dru’s story for what felt like forever. Lopez gave us readers what we wanted by putting these two together and even managed to give us a surprise or two. All I will say is I hope this isn’t the last we see of the Three Sisters crew. Dru never dealt with her father taking off on them when they were kids. She was too busy being strong for her mother and two sisters. Now her mother is gone, and both of her sisters are moving on and settling down leaving her feeling unsettled. She hires Mick to track her father down, so she can finally say what’s been on her mind for years but at the end she gets so much more. Mick is perfectly content with his life. When Dru comes on his radar he can’t help but be attracted to her, but he has rules. Rules that he’s tempted to break. Will he break his rules and fall for Dru or will he keep her at arm’s length? One thing is for sure life is about to get a whole lot more complicated. I think the thing I loved most about Dru and Mick was the fact that when they decided to get together they truly jumped all in and didn’t waver. Then there is Mick’s mom who was a complete hoot along with everyone else. Lopez did a fantastic job writing A Splash of Vanilla and I hope you will enjoy it. Plot-5/5 Characters-5/5 Heat-5/5 Writing style-5/5 Overall-5/5
This is an entertaining, fun conclusion to the Three Sisters Catering series. The beginning of a Splash of Vanilla is concurrent with the prior book, so there are a few spoilers relating to Millie and Tasha’s stories of you have not read the prior books. That said, this is a stand alone book that is only made stronger if the previous have been read. I enjoyed Dru, Mick, and the relative slow burn of their relationship. There interactions were fun to watch. I actually wish this book had been a little longer so that we could have had a deeper dive into who Mick and Dru were as a couple. Ms Lopez teases us a little bit with characters that we may see in future books as we learn more about the girls father - I am looking forward to seeing what comes from the introduction of these characters.
A Slplash of Vanilla by Bethany Lopez is book three in her Three Sisters Catering Series. The books could be read as standalones, but for better understanding I recommend to read them in order. The previous books are A Pinch of Salt and A Touch of Cinnamon. A Splash of Vanilla is Millie and Mike's story. Millie is on of the twins and older sister to Tasha. While Dru with Jackson and Tasha with Jericho found their HEA, Millie is still single. Something she wants to change, asap. She has her sights set on Mike O'Donell, Private Investigator and friend of Jackson. Their catering business is thriving, they're busy, busy. Only a man could make Millie'#s life complete, but the one she has her sights set on is obstinate. He refuses to date clients, or sisters of friends. But Millie wouldn't be Millie when she gave up this fast. Mike hasn't one miniscule chance to escape her and her plan.
A Splash of Vanilla is a well written rom/com with the right amount of drama and love to keep me at the edge of my seat. I liked the story, the characters and the writing and give 4 beautiful stars.
The last of the Three Sisters is finally getting her story!!
Dru has decided to get the closure she never had by finding her father and saying all the things that she's been holding in. Jackson's friend Mick is a phenomenal PI and when Dru hires him, it makes her firmly in the off-limits camp.
I loved this slow burn development of Dru and Mick's relationship. Dru is an assertive go-getter. She's amazing in so many ways. Mick is super swoon worthy. He's dedicated to his family, he's a loyal friend, he's a pretty awesome guy all around. I am so excited for the new characters introduced in this story and can't wait to see what comes next!!
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
I loved his story so much..heck, the whole series! I was excited for Dru and Mick's story and they didn't disappoint. Dru is amazing just like her sisters and she is a spitfire..she knows what she wants and she goes after it. Mick is attracted to her but she is a client..all bets are off when the case is closed..she will make sure of it! I love the story, the relationship that grows between the two, the sisters and their other halves, and I def adored Mick's mom. Great story, full of emotions and funny too.
I devoured Bk 3. I was looking forward to Dru and Mick’s book, it was teased so well in Jericho and Tasha’s book.
The writing was fluid and fast and I just didn’t want to put it down. When I had to go to work I was cursing my need to adult. I think what I loved the most is that the unsure character in the relationship was him and the bold ‘go for it’ character was her. A nice role reversal that I loved. The series is rounded off nicely with some great teasers of possible spin off options. Also if you hadn’t already read Bk 1 and 2 I think you would be definitely getting them to read.
Bethany Lopez has a enjoyable writing style that has you addicted in no time at all.
Tasha's story begins after Millie's. However, Dru's story runs parallel to her sisters'. The first 25% of Dru and Mick's story is the first two books told from their POV. No new, important information is given. You could skim the first 8 chapters and not miss out on anything. Other than some incorrect verb usage, ASOV is well written and edited. A Splash of Vanilla is super cheesy and sickeningly sweet...but I honestly liked it. Who doesn't love a good Hallmark/ Lifetime book every once in a while? There was a little hint of a possible spin off series. I'm really hoping to see it happen.
This is the last sister....and I think it is the sweetest book! Both characters were good. Very different but you could "see" them as a couple easily! During this book, you can also "check" on Millie and Tash, and probably meet the next books characters? Ll in all, This was a nice way to finish a good series. I strongly recommend this series... Do not miss this! But start with #1.
I just love all of Bethany's books and this one didn't disappoint at all! The last sister, Dru, watching her sisters find their true loves, and feeling alone. When she enlists the help of PI Mick to help her locate their father who left them when they were young, and she finds him very sexy! Not to mention her twin sister wants to hook them up, but Mick has a strict policy against dating clients. Can Dru persuade him to forego his policy and see what happens between them? Mick does find her sexy, how long can he hide behind that policy before he gives in. Read along and find out in this amazing story that promises to get you hooked once you start reading it! 5 huge catering stars for this one! Grab it as soon as it's available! Can't wait for more from Bethany!
Dru sometimes just likes to grab her man by the ***, "that’s right, I grabbed his butt and squeezed it. It was the firmest, most perfect *** I’d ever felt in my life, and I found myself wondering what he did to get it that way..." I liked Mick the man was sweet, "...I’m into you, and I want to see where this goes. I don’t want to see other people, and I want us to tell everyone we know that we’re together. And, being together means that I want your input on things..." I liked this book, and would love to see some spin off series with other characters.
Dru lives for her family. But when Mick steps into her bubble she can't seem to stop thinking about him and Mick who isn't looking for anything permanent keeps thinking about Dru. When they finally give in to their spark, even more fly. It was a bit of a slower paced story for me, but I am glad I gave this author a chance. I will gladly read her again
I think was probably my most favourite '3 Sisters" story so far. I wondered where this story would go, and I was not disappointed. It cleared a raft of unanswered questions and introduced some new characters so the series can go on in some form. Not only that but we got to meet the fabulous Dottie.
Really enjoyed this book. It is the third in a series about three sisters. I recommend reading all three and in order. I can't wait to read what she writes next. I love how different the three sisters are and you can't help but fall in love with the men they fall in love with!!
Dru and Mick story was everything. Those row just fit together, they both came into each other lives in the right time. And got a lot more than just love. Such a perfect ending to an incredible series. 🤍
Oh my goodness! Dru and Mick were so fun! I loved that she didn’t give up and kept going with her attraction with Mick! These two just made so much sense! I absolutely love them! Such an amazing way to end this beautiful series. 💛
I read the first one a few years ago. I had Enjoyed the diversion. This one was not so great. The time Jump was crazy! I did not read the 2nd book. After reading this one, I see no reason to do so. Meh.
