This volume was slower than the first one. Fewer events happened. Kasane's mission to use someone else's face continues and she finds a new target. Sometimes I felt the change of hair color for the characters made things more confusing. It made it more difficult to know who was who!!

I just can't get into this. I think this may appeal more to female readers than male, as much of the response to the series has been from females and very positive. Kasane still has her lipstick, and in this volume she meets up with an aspiring actress who suffers from a rare "sleeping beauty" disease that is a rare form of narcolepsy which leave her asleep sometimes for months at a time. She's beautiful, but not a great actress, plus has the disease to deal with. So she and Kasane work out a weird deal where Kasane will use her own acting ability and use the lipstick to steal the pretty girl's face. The whole thing seems too weird for me, and it just gets weirder from there.

J’ai trouvé ce deuxième volume plus prenant que le premier. En effet, maintenant que nous avons les bases de l’histoire, l’intrigue se développe, s’approfondit et s’intensifie. Kasane fait peur mais je n’arrive pas à la détester. Elle m’intrigue. J’ai beaucoup aimé suivre Nina et Kasane et voir leur évolution l’une après l’autre

Tu peux connaître mon âge en regardant mes cernes, pas besoin de me couper en deux. Le manga, quand j'étais jeune fille, ça n'existait pas. Pas sur les rayons de ma bibliothèque publique, en tous cas. Je l'ai découvert sur le tard.
Dans mon cas, le manga, c'est un goût acquis comme le tempeh ou le thé noir. Je suis fascinée (et troublée) par son exubérance dans le trait, par les codes, par la variété des genres, par l'expression du pouvoir, de l'étouffement, des relations entre les sexes. On sait que les Japonais dévorent les mangas, et pas juste les ados. Autant la littérature japonaise contemporaine peut être contemplative, minimaliste ou au contraire, riche en symboles ou en allégories, autant le manga (je trouve) te balance la cruauté des rapports humains en pleine face.
Kasane, un Seinen pour les 15 ans et +, s'inscrit d'abord comme une série fantastique. Kasane est une jeune fille au visage déformé: on ne voit d'ailleurs que sa grande bouche et ses dents acérées derrière le voile de ses cheveux. La mère de Kasane, une actrice célèbre, lui a remis un rouge à lèvres avant sa mort, un rouge à lèvres qui permet à Kasane de voler le visage d'une autre lorsqu'elle l'embrasse sur la bouche. Et pour un moment, Kasane est belle, et sait que ce que c'est d'être regardée et désirée... Le deuxième tome tourne autour d'une relation trouble qui s'installe entre Kasane, actrice merveilleuse mais laide, et Nina, actrice médiocre mais belle comme le jour.
On marche sur le fil ténu de la dépendance.
Captivant, vénéneux, sinistre... Ce manga a quelque chose d'un conte qui risque de mal tourner à toutes les pages. Il ouvre la porte à la réflexion sur la beauté, sur la laideur, sur le désir. On explore ici les fonds peu éclairés de l'âme humaine.

To, co wydarzyło się w dzień premiery licealnego spektaklu, na stałe zmieniło Kasane i jej postrzeganie otaczającego ją świata. Dziewczyna uświadomiła sobie jakie niezbadane pokłady przyjemności płyną z występowania na scenie. Jedyną przeszkodą do realizacji marzeń jest jej zdeformowana twarz. Niespodziewanie odkrywa ona również pewne sekrety, które przez lata ukrywała jej zjawiskowo piękna matka. Nowe fakty skłaniają bohaterkę do jeszcze intensywniejszej próby zmiany swojej przyszłości. Zwiastunem poważnej ewolucji jest pojawienie się na jej drodze Niny Tanazawy. Ślicznotki, która również pragnie zostać wielką aktorką, nie posiada jednak do tego talentu i dodatkowo cierpi na pewną przypadłość zwaną syndromem Śpiącej Królewny. Obie w pewnym sensie mogą sobie pomóc, zamieniając swoje „życie”.
Drugi tom serii skupia się właśnie na postaci wspomnianej Niny, odsłaniając przed czytelnikiem jej przeszłość, osobowość, uczucia i całą masę towarzyszących jej emocji. Przewracając kolejne strony tomiku, widzimy również jak Kasane stopniowo coraz lepiej opanowuje swoją nową „rolę”. W kilku momentach wręcz zapomina ona, kim tak naprawdę jest. Odkrywa ona zupełnie nowe życie, którego nie mogłaby doświadczyć w swoim własnym ciele. Dodatkowo spływający na nią splendor aktorski potrafi mocno zaburzyć zdrowy rozsądek i ukazać różne oblicza „moralności”. Wiąże się z tym wiele problemów, szczególnie że obie bohaterki mają swoje ambicje, dla których są gotowe na naprawdę wiele. Nie zabraknie więc tutaj dramatów, emocji, iście teatralnych scen i kilku niezłych fabularnych zaskoczeń.

Band 2 knüpft dort an, wo Band 1 aufgehört hat und sollte vorher unbedingt gelesen werden. Der Stil ist ähnlich. Es geht ein bisschen um Mobbing, um den Umgang und darum für seine Ziele zu kämpfen - auch wenn es nicht immer ganz legal ist. Auch hier muss erst bis zur letzten Seite geblättert werden und das E-Book dann rückwärts gelesen werden - Manga typisch, aber nervig.
Charakter:
Kasane ist immer noch geplagt von Selbstzweifeln und macht sich klein, bis sie irgendwann die Schönheit will und auch ein Leben. Nina hingegen leidet auch unter den Blicken der anderen, kann aber damit besser umgehen. Ihr Selbstbewusstsein ist (noch) nicht zerstört und sie erträgt die Blicke der anderen. Hier zeigt sich wieder, dass zwar viel von außen kommen kann, aber der Umgang damit immer von einem selbst kommen muss. Nina ist auf eine Art sympathisch, sie will etwas und versucht alles - andererseits muss man auch erkennen, wo die eigenen Stärken liegen und nicht alles, was man will, kann man umsetzen. Bzw. nur in einem gewissen Rahmen und nicht immer reicht es.

Ein Manga, der die Zeit vertreibt. Mich hat die Geschichte immer noch nicht ganz überzeugt, aber ich bin auch neugierig, wie es weitergeht. Daher 3 Sterne, weil sich die Geschichte gut lesen und ansehen lässt. Eine Leseempfehlung gibt es nur an jene, welche den ersten Manga gelesen haben und generell Mangas mögen.

Que historia tan más absorbente y delirante, Kasane se esta ganando un lugar en mi top de lecturas de este año, por su originalidad y su maldad.
¿Para qué leer Kasane 2?
1. Usa el mundo del teatro para darle sustento a la trama, tomando en cuenta ¿qué son los personajes, los guiones, pero sobre todo las ilusiones y las mentiras?.
El engañar al publico, es algo que hacemos todos los días.
2. Además en esta historia nos encontramos algo aún más sorprendente, ya no sólo es la magia del cambio de rostros sino que además el síndrome de la bella durmiente y eso le da un plus a la trama adictivo.
3. Los personajes evolucionan de maneras considerables, donde cada interés se vuelve la puerta al dolor, a la ira, y claro a la soledad y por supuesto a las ilusiones y mentiras.
4. Se empieza a crear un triangulo amoroso bastante original, y un poco cruel, donde les aseguro va a ver muchas lagrimas y sangre

Just as a warning this book contains at least one scene where one female forces her attentions on another physically to prove a point and although it is a brief scene it might be considered a problem for sensitive readers.
With the introduction of Neena Tanzawa all senses of self are lost like a seagull flying away. Neena has an incredible beauty but Kasane's sorrow and talent allows her to pull deep from within to bring her performances to life just as her mother had once before. With the magic imbued within the lipstick that allows her to do the switcheroo with anyone else's face for 12 hours Kasane can make Neena a household name but when the cost is your identity is it really worth the price?

Como ya os conte en la reseña del tomo anterior, Kasane utiliza su pintalabios con el fin de cambiar su rostro por el de otra persona y así lograr su objetivo: ser una gran actriz.
Las cosas empiezan a complicarse para nuestra protagonista quien empieza a entender el otro lado de la moneda de la cual siempre se habia visto privada y ahora tanto ansia mantener. Debo admitir que Kasane es un personaje que de alguna forma extraño amo y al que solo me gustaría darle todo mi amor y cariño.
La trama ha comenzado a dar giros inesperados y ha crear un camino que nuestra protagonista esta dispuesta a recorrer sin miedo a las consecuencias que pueda traerla.

The story goes on and the plot thickens! I really like where this is going.
Kasane meets the girl who she's going to switch with, Nina. Nina is a well-written character as well. I don't really like her, but I like getting to know her better. There's some really great art in this volume and I must say, I like all of the different outfits for Nina/Kasane. There's a bit of romance here too, and it's pretty exciting!
It's a solid second part, so 4* again.

L'intrigue lancée dans ce tome 2 m'a de nouveau beaucoup plu, bien que le début soit peut-être un peu long. Par contre la fin donne encore envie de poursuivre la suite immédiatement, surtout vu la façon dont Kasane nous fait face.

binge-reading this has been nothing but pleasurable. i cannot stop being immersed in this great story, where kasane’s struggle intertwines with those of other’s. her world that once was small, now has grown wide and troublesome — what she will encounter along neena truly leaves me wanting to continue.

Le tome 2 est déjà bien moins superficiel que le tome 1. Kasane se rend de plus en plus compte de la différence entre beauté intérieure et extérieure.
J'ai trouvé marrante la petite anecdote de fin.
Par contre il y a une faute d'impression sur certaines pages sont gênantes. Les pages sont coupées et on ne voit pas le texte en entier.

This one was definitely much better than the first volume, I really like the plot, it was very interesting to see how Kasane's actions affect Nina's mental state. I also enjoyed the artstyle!

I’d officially say I’m locked into this series so far! The cliffhangers, the depth of the characters and storyline is very entertaining. Kasane is such a good MC and I can’t wait to see how things unfold in the next volumes.
