She signed up to be my sub for the summer… But she didn’t expect to fake marry me and take care of my baby!
I’m a billionaire Navy SEAL, and I love being a dom. I met Blyss at The Dungeon of Decorum Club. She was pure, and everybody wanted her, but I won her. Every part of her yearned to be explored. I was supposed to rule her, but she stole my heart. She was perfect, and I wanted her to be mine forever. And around the same time we met, I found out I had a little girl. Her mother had died a few months before. I wanted to take care of my child, but the only way that could happen was if I was married. Blyss was my only hope. I was told that my SEAL team needed me just as everything was coming together.
War is hell, and it gets even harder when you have to leave the ones you love behind.
This was so, so, so bad. I just keep wondering if I read something different than all these 5-star reviews. This heroine is supposed to be a brilliant psych student, but her inner dialogue is a 13 year old girl who's having some kind of spring awakening. I finally gave up when the hero said he had her on a "pedal stool". A PEDAL STOOL. Spellcheck is not the cheaper version of an editor, people.
So this book will have you hooked from the start. The characters and the storyline are well written and you will want to keep reading until you know exactly what happens to Blyss and Troy. Bless is a woman who has spent her life alone. She was abandoned as a baby and moved form orphanage to orphanage her entire life. It was only when she went to college that she engaged other people - aka her roommates - but even that was not very intense. As Blyss is finishing up her degree to be a psychiatrist she decides that her thesis will be on BDSM and she will write it form the first person. She will sell herself and then experience for a summer what it means to be a sub. Troy is a SEAL who spends his summer away from his career. he is also a Dom who every summer goes and buys a sub to be with for the summer. When he arrives at the club he finds that Blyss is up for auction. She is a virgin in every way and he must have her. It is interesting to watch this relationship between Troy and Blyss. Bless has never experienced any real emotions or feelings. She is a loner and she believes as a sub she can experience everything she never has and all at once. She has no idea what her limits are because she has never tested them. Troy is a Dom but when he is with Blyss his Dom tendencies seem to fall away and he treats Blyss as a girlfriend not a sub. When Blyss pushes for more, even though Troy is sure she can't handle it, the unthinkable happens. As people find out about the start of their relationship Blyss and Troy must determine if their relationship is real or just lust. This is a story you will want to read. You will understand how Blyss is overwhelmed with all these feelings she has never had and is unsure how to deal with them. You will watch Troy become protective of Blyss and want to spend his life with her and is unable to understand how she can love him and not want all that he wants. There are a few twist in this story but they only enhance the storyline and the bond of the main characters. I was given this book for an honest and voluntary review.
This book was definitely not what I expected. Blyss is studying to be a psychologist and is planning on doing her thesis on BDSM. Since Blyss is a total innocent, she decides she must experience things first hand. Blyss has always focused on her school work since she was totally alone in the world. She was found abandoned and addicted to drugs as an infant and never found anyone to love or love her back. She is strongly drawn to the idea of BDSM. Troy is a SEAL on leave for a few months and is ready to find a sub for the summer. His tastes in subs is to find someone new to the BDSM scene and introduce them carefully to everything. He is thrilled to find Blyss a total virgin in the auction. After a bidding war, he owns Blyss for the summer. Blyss is causing strange feelings of protectiveness in him. He is falling in love with her and doesn't want to be her Dom but just her lover. Blyss enjoys his love for a few weeks but then she feels a need to participate in the BDSM lifestyle. Troy respects her requests but finds out that causing her pain opens up the emotional pain from her childhood. He is concerned that she is pushing too fast and will end up hurting herself. However she does appear to feel the need to experience the scene so he gives into her pleadings because he loves her. This is a good book with very surprisingly little BDSM in it. Blyss is struggling on accepting love but Troy is very understanding and patient. This story has some unexpected twists and turns. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.
I have really been enjoying all the books in the Submissives’ Secrets series, and this one is just as great as the previous two. I love how the author gives us such a richly detailed back history for the characters; it really helps to understand their emotional needs in the present narrative.
This story is much more of an extended epic adventure than the limited time-frame that characterized the previous books in this series. Our story takes on several forms as it transitions from trope to trope, starting as a virgin auction story with a side of BDSM, then moves into a single dad custody battle, then our hero returns to active military duty with all the action and suspense we’d expect. Through it all their love story endures and sustains them, giving us a very satisfying HEA by the time we’re done.
Troy is a sexy alpha book boyfriend with a huge heart, and Blyss is definitely not your typical girl; the description of her social skills almost sounds like Asperger’s (an autism-spectrum disorder characterized by high intelligence with poor social skills). Together, they were perfect for each other and their love story was a real sweet read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I loved this book. I felt this book did a wonderful job of explaining how some people need the physical pain to be able to release all the emotional pain that they feel and have bottled up inside. Blyss has had a hard life growing up as an orphan. Being moved from one place to the next. She has never felt the true love of someone or a connection with anyone. She is a smart young woman who is working on her degree at Stanford to become a Psycologist. Deciding she wants to write her thesis paper on BDSM, she allows herself to be auctioned off at a club. She is pure a true virgin in all since of the word. Troy is a Navy Seal and has had many subs under his care. Knowing that his experience in this world of BDSM that she is exposing herself to, he will be the best Dom for her. The one thing he never expected was to fall in love with her. He was more concerned with her becoming attached to him. Never did he think that he would have to work so hard to convince her that what she was feeling for him was love.
I do believe this is the first book I've read by Michelle Love, it's not what I expected by the synopsis. The synopsis was correct, but I was expecting more D/s scenes. I can see where the author was going with the story, I really enjoyed I'm not denying that. I'm just a bit disappointed. Maybe I've read too many BDSM romance novels that actually have more scenes in them and I've forgotten to appreciate the sutle way certain authors make you use your imagination lol. Ms. Love has taught me a great lesson with her words, enjoy the story not the sex scenes only. A Dom taking on a pure virgin was something that I rarely see, though you see virgin stories all the time you think can't these authors come up with something original and not follow the Jones? But I gave the book a shot and it was very unique due to the personalities of the characters and what each went through, I did find it a little instalovie but the Ms. Love did it, it wasn't that bad. I'd definitely try another one of her books for sure!

This was a great story that is full of emotional angst and a compelling storyline that is very heartwarming and emotional romance—yet sexy and intense. When reading the story, it may make you feel sad, confused, appalled, and even euphoric. This is the first time I read a book by Michelle Love, but I assure you, it will not be the last. I enjoyed the characters of Blyss and Troy. You get a chance to see the progression of their love—theirs was not a quick and easy love story because they had to overcome some issues, but loves does prevail. When reading the story, it may make you feel sad, confused, appalled, and even euphoric. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This story will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.
Omg . Im at a loss of how to describe this book.. Its so ..Insanely Deep in so many ways. 5 Stars
Some will hate it Some will love it And Some will walk away from it. I admit one thing shook me up. Yes it's Dark at times, but it's Enlightning at other times.
I myself found it fascinating and was kept drawn in by how Blyss perceived her own thoughts. How someone could think her way in the beginning of the story is sad.
But its so worth the time to read this.
Troy, the sexy government Seal, Dom, and the once playboy every year vacation/auction at a BDSM club caused a sigh or two out of me.
And if the last chapter does'nt cause you to bust into hysterical laughter then you missed the most Epic Fantastical Ending Ever.
Mature readers 21+, Strong language and Sexual content that may be disturbing to some.

O. M. G. I think this is by far my favorite book of Michelle Love's. You get a little bit of a lot in this book. BDSM, love, hate, loneliness, passion, second chances, fear and even humor. Michelle Love brings her characters and your emotions to life. She also puts a new twist to the SEAL and virgin auction themes in this book and was able to bring them together in a very cohesive way. Certainly not a book to miss. And that last chapter?? I laughed so hard I was nearly in tears! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Troy = 5/5 Heroine, Blyss = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 10/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 3/5 Action = 3/5 Darkness = 3/5 Humor = 2/5 POV = both Would I recommend this book = hell yes! Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
Wow! Not at all what I expected when I began reading this book! Completely blew me away. Blyss is an awkward, virgin college student working on her psychology thesis. She decides to sell herself for the summer at a BDSM auction to better understand human nature, the Dom/sub lifestyle, and sex. Troy Masterson is a Navy SEAL who comes to the auction looking for a connection, a new sub he can train for the summer. There he finds Blyss. He bids on her and he wins her. The story does not follow your standard Dom/submissive roles at all, nor does it contain the regular BDSM scenes you'd expect. What you get is this amazingly in-depth psychological analysis of both characters, emotional catharsis, steamy hot sex, and some major drama. There are also some really funny scenes thrown in that made me laugh out loud. Read it!
I love Michelle’s books but this didn't actually involve me completely . The male character has a rough exterior but deep inside he simply has a big heart. On the contrary the female character is very immature and childish. They meet after she has decided to write a thesis for her degree in psychology and her only way to do it is by experiencing the life of a sub in the BDSM world. A pure virgin with no experience whatsoever, she is bought at an auction by this gorgeous dom who happens to fall in love with her. After a series of surprising events they will finally be together. I admit that I would have liked it more if both characters were perfectly fitted together. I really didn't feel all the chemistry but as I always point out, this is only my humble opinion and I invite other readers to contradict my thinking.
This is one book you won't want to put down, Blyss is a very naive woman who thinks she knows everything, she had a troubled and innocent start in life and this shows, (she's majoring at Stanford and her thesis is BDSM) in how she handles her research, which quickly goes belly up when she meets the Dom who has brought her, Troy, and they fall in love, only she has a hard time realising that's what's happening as she's never experienced the emotion before.
I can't say much about what happens without spoiling things for you, just that there's a rollercoaster of emotions and factors going on in this book that you will be hard put to stop reading until you get to the end.
I received an advanced readers copy and I voluntarily leave my own opinion
Another brilliant bdsm book by Michelle Love. Is this the last in the Dungeon of Decorum series or will the Dungeon have more stories coming out of it. This book shows the good and bad side of BDSM and the story gets better and better with unexpected twists and turns throughout. You will laugh, you will squirm, you will cry and you will be entertained. What more could you ever want from a book. This is a great mix of the Seal's we love mixed with the BDSM I love and a romance that all will find amazing. I don't know how Ms Love manages to keep coming up with such convoluted story lines and blending it all together in a way that makes it impossible to put down. Cannot wait for the next book. Great Read. I felt so bad for Blyss and everything she has been through her whole entire life. Blyss wants to experience BDSM and lose her virginity she never thought she would meet a Dom like Troy. Troy never wanted a relationship but spending time with Blyss changed him. Troy wants Blyss to leave the BDSM scene behind them but she wants to experience BDSM one more time but something goes completely wrong when a Dom is alone with Blyss. Everything that goes wrong does and then there is a surprise that Troy never show coming. Will Blyss finally feel how to love Troy or will she want to be alone?

There's no shortage of action, danger, drama, suspenseful or steamy sex in this book. Michelle Love has another winner with this book. Lots of surprises and emotion. Well written with great characters and we see first hand how deep their emotional pain is. Two wounded souls who help each other heal in many ways. Pair a tougher than nails alpha navy seal with a virgin doctoral psych student and you know that this book is not boring. It grabs your attention right at the beginning and has you spellbound. No cliffhanger. I voluntarily chose to review this book after receiving a complimentary copy in a promotion.
Slow. Strict, virgin with a capital V, never had a kiss nor and personal gratification means never had a big 'O'. Orphan from a dug and alcoholic mother left at the fire house as a newborn. Now 20 in college and she wants do so a thesis on BDSM and to find a master for her to experience everything for her paper. Staff Drill Sergeant Troy, heir to a winery in Napa Valley, has summer's 3 months off and he's heading to the member only BDSM club he belongs to and finding a women to teach and experience for thoes months. His eye are set on the clean slate virgin in white.
O.M.G...What an incredibly well written book! Definitely a little darker than most; some of the BDSM scenes are very difficult to read. The storyline is amazing; the characters fully developed--your heart goes out to both Troy and Blyss as they travel the road from hell to their HEA. There were moments where I simply had to put the book down and take a break. You definitely want to read this book as it pushes all your hot buttons...1-Click this bad boy today!! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book and was blown away. Maya Banks and Shayla Black got nothing on you! You rock!)❤️
Wow! This one surprised me in a positive way. It is an amazing story and very well written. There is action and drama all the time. Always something happening. The BDSM is only a very small part of the story. It is more about finding yourself and romance. There is a great dynamic between the two main characters. They have to fight with their own issues before they can go on and be in a relationship. Loved the twists and turns and finally the plot in the end. Really worth reading it!
I was given his book for an honest voluntary review.
I think the more I read by Michelle Love, the more she grows as an author and the more interest she holds for me. Troy and Blyss's story is quite an emotional wreck of a romance and is quite farfetched at times but to be honest, it's a great book o escape reality from and laugh at the amount of bad luck one couple can have on finding their way to their HEA. Don't let the BDSM put you off.....other than a a few mentions here and there, it really isn't a dominant (no pun intended) part of the story!

What an interesting premise and a dramatic romance! Blyss was planning to experience BDSM in order to write her thesis. She ends up being put up for auction at a club, where Troy wins her. He's a Navy SEAL who has more family wealth than he knows what to do with. Blyss and Troy's rocky romance is fraught with twists and turns, and I liked the story line. I found some of the word and diction choices a bit awkward, and that was the main thing that detracted from this otherwise engaging and emotional story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
You can never go wrong with Michelle Love. While not as suspenseful as some of her others it's still a great read with a lot of twist. I loved watching the characters grow and seeing how the twist unfolded. Not much in terms of BDSM, not for the lack of trying on Blyss' part, but some that helps the story along. It's a dual POV which I love since then you know what everyone is thinking. I received this as an ARC for my honest review.
*4.5 stars * She's a graduate student writing a Master's thesis on the BDSM lifestyle. Intelligent yet extremely sheltered, her decision to gain actual experience in her research topic sets her on an unexpected path of self-discovery and growth with her Dom, a Navy SEAL with a past. Well written, with complex characters and a very well developed plot. A compelling read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Troy and Bliss find themselves drawn together. She has always been distant from others but feels a connection to him.
The story was well written and I liked how the author developed the characters. Bliss' back history is really interesting. It was fun to see them interact and for her to open up. The sex scenes are hot but also there is an emotional connection there too.
Michele Love has another hit on her hands. This book was written beautifully and gives you two people who will learn a lot about each other and flourish to become who they are truly meant to be when someone loves you. I felt that this book was filled with a great romance story with a few twists to keep you interested. The characters were written perfectly for this book and is worth your time. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
I received an arc of this book for a honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this storyline of Michelle's. I loved this book so much that I didn't want to put it down until I reached the last page. It was well written, interesting characters, danger, drama and romance. A must have for anyone's reading or for their library.
Bless us a innocent sweet girl but she has no social skills at all. She gets into something she thinks she understands but she really doesn't. Troy is very much the Alpha male Dom who shows her what she thinks she already knows. Seeing them fall in love was brilliant, they go through an emotional rollercoaster before they realise.
I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review. One thing I enjoy is a lot of backstory to help explain why characters are the way they are, most especially in dark romance. Great characters and their story is sexy, dark with drama and suspense rolled all together. Very entertaining read! Highly recommended.
This book had it all. Lonely ness, being sold in an auction at at BDSM club, a virgin becoming a women, torture, healing, a unknown daughter, to missing in action, finding his way home, delivering their son at home. But most of all love. These two characters were strong willed and were perfect together. You will want to read their powerful story. I voluntary review this ARC copy
