Frantic was an enthralling story. There were many twists and turns that formed a unique plot. There was a lot of action and suspense thrown in with some romance and sisterly bickering. Andrew Hess really knows how to build up the suspense and keep your attention to the very end. This story kept my attention from the beginning to the end. The book has lots of twists and suspense with an ending that you come to expect from Andrew Hess. The ending that Andrew has become known for will have you loving the book and anticipating the next book even more.
I have read almost all of Andrew’s books, as he is one of my favorite authors. He has a unique writing style. I nicknamed him the Master of Cliffhangers as he keeps to his standard tradition with his surprise and unexpected endings. I love how he can manipulate the book and throw twists in that you will never see coming. I have enjoyed each book I have read by Andrew and will continue to read his books as they come out. You never know what to expect from him and this story holds true to that!
I recommend Frantic to anyone that enjoys reading a suspenseful thriller that will keep you entertained and on your toes all the way to the end.
Another homerun from Mr. Hess. The Ali Ryan series wouldn’t be right without some angst, anger, fast driving and a lot of gunfire. Frantic delivers on ALL of that and more.
I think I love this book because it sort of takes place in my hometown area, but I’ve developed a love of Mr. Hess’ cliff hangers. It’s mostly a defense mechanism to think of the books as TV shows. You know when you’re watching a riveting show and then suddenly realize the episode is almost over only to have the words “to be continued” scroll across the screen. AHHHHHHH, I just want to fast forward and find out what happens.
This book was very hard to read. I am an HSP with a lot of empathic qualities which basically means people like me feel things a lot deeper. Now I have to read about Ali being abducted. I am afraid…very, very afraid. Still, I give it 5 stars. It had a lot of twists and unexpected turns which makes for a really good book. If you don’t have trouble reading this sort of thing, then I highly recommend it!
Another Andrew Hess success! Quick, detailed, to the point, and still leaves you wanting more! Ali throws herself back into being the most sought after by some, hated by others, detective! Andrew brings you to the point of complete understanding of new relationships and to the dire need to help those that are depending on Detective Ali Ryan! Great read, yet once again!
LOVED IT!!! The clock is ticking for Detective Ali to find the Lieutenants daughter. This book got a little intense at times on what was going to happen next. We get a peek at Detective Ali's relationship with Detective Thornton in this book as well. I got my Holy Sh*t are you serious moment at the end of the book. Andrew Hess AKA Mr. King of Cliffhangers didn't let me down. Andrew Hess has left his readers wanting more and ready to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend reading this book.
