I was waiting for this one! After the serious cliffhanger at the end of Keeping Her, I was most anxious to find out what would happen to Adeline! After her failed escape attempt and Lucien saved her, they became a lot closer. He was letting her sleep in his bed! He became more and more jealous of Jax. He didn’t want to put a label on the feelings he was having for her because his life had shown him that words can be empty. Her family, and jerk wad fiancé, end up finding her and taking her away…. And that it where the real craziness begins.

Throughout this book I was on edge. I picked it up in the morning and finished it before I went to bed. The odd way that Adeline and Lucien get together only adds to the suspense on if they will be able to make it work. For a couple of chapters I was seriously mad! I really did not like what was happening. In the end it all worked out. (I still kind of want to punch Gio in the face!!!) AND you get a teaser look into the relationship that Jax starts forming with Katya. There is a back story there that I am dying to find out about!!!

🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧
Narrated by Auri Alden & Stephen Borne

After having read this duet a few years ago I was super excited to hear that it was coming to audio! The narrators did a fantastic job taking on the roles of Lucian & Adeline! And the story was just as great as I remember it being.... having the ability to revisit Lucian and Adeline via audio is fantastic!!!

I loved part 2 of this story, Lucian and Adeline go through a lot and the storyline keeps you gripped.

The author does a great job bringing the 2 main characters to life, they develop a lot more in this book, Lucian learns a bit of give and Adeline grows stronger.

The storyline really keeps you hooked, there is romance, then the author will throw in some dark matter, maybe a bit of sexy time and of course there is always danger!

Talking of Lucian, we know from book 1 that he had a tough past and we get some flashbacks in this book, there was one that I found quite disturbing if I'm honest - the author doesn't go into details it was just the setup as to what was going to happen to a young Lucian - this is a DARK romance so best be prepared.

I cant not mention Jackson, he has a fabulous personality, we have only seen his playful and caring side so far - I've heard there will be a book for him coming too <3

A fabulous conclusion to this story and I loved the quote below from Lucian, explaining Adeline's effect on his life.

"I don't allow chaos in my world. Only control. And right now I'm feeling very out of control."

4.5 I love dark romances stars

What a story! It kept me on the edge of my seat from page one!
The previous book ends with Adeline in an extremely precarious situation and we don’t know what’s going to happen to her. At that moment I didn’t know if the story was going to take a turn for the worse but the author only gave us a little taste of what was yet to come. Once things settle down and their connection grows deeper, things do get hotter and sparks fly all over the place!

In the first book we have a little glimpse of what Lucien did for a living but I was a bit confused because I never really understood how he came to be what he is in now. Here we get to know more about his line of “work” and the person he is when he’s not secluded in his little corner of the world. I thought it was great that the author didn’t just focus on the erotic part of Lucien’s personality and story but also gave a lot of thought to his mental issues and disorders.
I’m on the fence when it comes to Adeline though. She was resilient throughout the story and showed courage when needed but at the same time I kept thinking how do you become involved with your kidnapper? And then fall in love -because c’mon, this is a romance so eventually we know they will fall in love- so I had to look at it from another angle to understand their relationship. What if the story the story of Adeline and Lucien was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast? Beauty was at first trapped in a world where she didn’t want to be but as time passed she realized it was better than she initially thought and the alternative could be even worse, that is, if she went back to her older life. Adeline has the same problem and she also finds out the people she thought was family didn’t care for her and only cared for money and power. The Beast, albeit his dark past and scarred life, turned out to be more human than beast and developed deeper feeling than he ever thought possible. Lucien became that magical prince that saved Adeline from a terrible fate they both had their magical happily ever after – after they almost gave me a heart attack when I thought the were never going to get there * huff*

So retelling or not, I was a great read and I’m ever so excited Jackson, Lucien’s sexy cousin, is going to get his own story! He was a riot and the more I read about him the more I wanted him – I mean, to know more about him.

4 shinning stars. I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book and this is my honest opinion. And I totally recommend it!

This lady had some pretty good explaining to do because the way she left me after the first book from this series. I was mad, scared and worried...
Jesus woman what a book that was.
Like I've already said Angela Snyder's writing is intense, raw, dark and with some hot stuff into the mix. Dang... I was so curious and nervous at the same time but I needed to read...
Saving Him is the second book from the Keep Me Series and you cannot read this one without reading Keeping Her first. Trust me on this because you will not understand it if you don't do what I'm saying.
This book continues to tell Lucien and Adeline's stories, and what stories they are...
Adeline was sold to Lucien and was supposed to be set free after she gifted him with her preciously secret but then he changed his mind and wanted to keep her.
Let me just say that this book was the perfect ending to an amazing series. Jesus... I'm still shaking from the intensity of it.
Superb plot, the twists and turns left me anxious and nervous about it and I was eager to learn how everything went. I needed to keep reading and reading until I got all the answers to my questions.
I'm in love with these characters and I'm dying to know more about them.
Ahem... Some pretty hot stuff ahead... Get ready for some cold showers..
Angela you're a magician. Your words hooked me up so tight that I couldn't get loose.
When can we have Katson's story? Gimme gimme...

Angela ended this series with a bang! It starts right of where Keeping Her left off. This book had me gasping, laughing and crying .. and wanting to go into the book and slap one of the characters. Lucien the hero made me fall in love with him even his dark side. I loved Adeline the strength she had and the love and never giving up. Then there is Jackson I laughed at him and am dying to know his story. I don’t wanna give any spoilers so if you love semi dark books and that alpha male sexiness. This is one series you have to read. I bet ya fall hard for Lucien just like I did! 5/5 Stars Dear Angela I want more! *** I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book ***

Saving Him by Angela Snyder a thrilling five-star read. This is the conclusion to the two-book series keeping me and what a conclusion, Keeping her was good this is so much better. I can’t go into details as I would give the plot away and it’s such a good story, you wouldn’t want it spoiling. Adeline and Lucian just seem to become deeper people in this second book, the story grows and becomes a compelling read. This is a series that you need to read, it will twist the way you see things and have you doubting your sanity but it’s a read that you won’t forget in a hurry.

This second book in the Keep Me series picks up just after Adeline decides to leave Lucien and is an exceptional follow up to Keeping Her. It’s tricky to talk about the plot very much without giving away key elements, but this book grabbed me by the heart just as much as the first one. Full of drama, action, suspense, twists and turns, tender moments and scorching passion, this was one amazing read! Adeline is the daughter of a mob boss, betrothed to his right-hand man Giovani, and they’ll stop at nothing to find her and get her back from Lucian. Lucian is the quintessential tragic hero with a horrifically disturbing childhood that has manifest in severe OCD and germophobic behaviors and compulsions. Slowly and surely, though, having Adeline in his life is changing him. Bit by bit, piece by piece and moment by moment her sweet, compassionate nature is unwalling Lucien’s heart and healing his soul.

Having read Keeping Her in July, it seemed like September would never get here, but finally I got my hands on an advance copy of this book. Boy oh boy, was it ever worth the wait! We have the chance to see Adeline become a strong woman who knows her own mind and will do anything to protect the ones she loves. The changes and growths in Lucien are heartwarming and inspiring to see, and watching their relationship deepen, strengthen and triumph over adversity and challenges is poignantly beautiful and supremely satisfying. One could conceivably read this book on its own without too many holes in the story, but to get the full picture and the deep, rich characterization, you’ll want to read both books in this series. Adeline and Lucien’s story is one of the best dark romances I’ve ever read! Don’t miss it!!

Oh, man Angela Snyder did an amazing job with the conclusion to Lucien and Adeline's story! Adeline finds herself falling for the man who she should hate, the man who kept her locked up and yet he is the one person in the end who will care about her safety the most. Lucien finds himself changing in so many ways since Adeline has come on the scene and even though can be scary it's also more than he ever hoped for. When Adeline is in need or in danger it will be Lucien who will never stop to keep her safe, even when it means going somewhere that he absolutely abhors. I loved Lucien and Adeline and the ending of their story was, I will say again, absolutely amazing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Angela Snyder has given us an amazing conclusion to Luc and Adeline's story. It's full of suspense, drama and love I just could not put it down, so much so I was up until 4am as I just had to finish it.

After been left with the cliffhanger ending in Keeping Her, Saving Him picks up at that very moment as we wait with baited breath to see if Luc will get to Adeline in time, and if he does will be be able to continue to keep her safe with all the threats that hang over them?
I loved seeing the changes in Luc thanks to the love that Adeline had started to show him and you won't be able to help taking him to your heart.

A fabulous 5 star read for me this book cannot be read as a standalone so please make sure you read Keeping Her first, you will not be disappointed and I can't wait to read Jackson's story.

TWO of my favorite tropes!

Boy, our young Adeline just couldn't catch a break from the middle and toward the end of this book. It all ended well of course (because Romance), but things definitely got a little hairy there for a while.
This book saw the relationship between Adeline and Lucien really morph into more than it was in the first book. At the same time, trouble was brewing for her back home. Giovanni was losing patience at not getting her back as promised, and was leaving no stone unturned in his search for her.
Overall, I have enjoyed this series. I would recommend it for an easy read with some fan-favorite tropes.

Trigger warning: belt beatings (both books), another trigger that is a spoiler and very sensitive- I wont name it here, but if you have a sensitive trigger I strongly suggest checking out the reviews with spoilers before diving in.

Saving HIm did not disappoint me at all, it begins right where Keeping Her ended. Just saying that I believe this would have been an amazing standalone mob romance. I simply love the way the author has woven this dark & delicious story – I simply escaped into this world.

The author paced this story perfectly and I simply did not put this book down, read in a day. Told from both POV you can follow the anguish and hurt as this story moves to the drama-packed emotional ending.

So happy with the way their relationship progressed and how Luc grew into being the man for Adeline. How Adeline fought her way, in the beginning, middle and end was inspiring and my favourite part.

A surprising turn of events was Jackson and his love story and I was very happy for him.

Honestly, it has been awhile since I devoured a series like this and ignored the world. Adeline & Luc were simply an amazing couple who repaired each other’s souls and hearts. They each gave hope and a future to one another after unhappy and traumatic childhoods.

Great conclusion to Lucien and Adeline's story, following straight on from the end of book one, Keeping Her (which must be read first).

Despite the situation and fallout from her attempted escape at the end of book one, Adeline is getting inside Luciens heart and soul more and more. He starts to realise that when he so focused on her, he forgets all his other obsessive compulsions (the result of his horrendous childhood) and realises he is starting to heal, but can he ever just be "normal"? He will do anything to protect her and they grow closer and closer and more passionate by the day, but can their relationship really be forever, especially following their inauspicious beginning?

When Adeline's past catches up with her, she is ripped away from Lucien and fears all is lost. Despite her very sheltered upbringing, she is made of strong stuff and her love for Lucien gives her the strength to defy her despicable father and the fiance who sold her in the first place.

This book does have dark, violent undertones, the things both Lucien and Adeline are put through is at times heartbreaking, but love is a beautiful thing and can bring light to the darkest of places and people. Really enjoyable conclusion to this story and I loved how both Lucien and Adeline's characters grew and developed throughout. I'm looking forward to reading Jackson's story, Lucien's loyal, loveable cousin.

Thanks to the author for approving my voluntary request for an arc of Saving Him

After patiently waiting for this book, I was very ecstatic to get my copy. Lucien thinks that Adeline is leaving him, but that can't be further from the truth. When he realizes what is going on, he will do whatever he can to get her back and keep her safe. Then the unthinkable happens, her family finds her and takes her back, but Lucien gets hurt in the process. She thinks he is dead, and he doesn't know where she is taken too. As luck would have it, he gets saved and healed up enough to fly half way across the world to find and claim her as his own. The watch that he gave her from the first book is activated, and he swoops in and saves her from certain death. In saving her, he also shows and proves his love for her, and saves their family. I loved reading the end of this happy story. I can't wait to read about his brother now. I voluntarily read an Advanced Review Copy of this book.

I loved this series!! The first book ended on a cliffhanger & couldn’t wait to read this!! This continues the story of Lucien and Adeline. Lucien suffered a horrific childhood causing him to grow up with certain behavioral habits & phobias. He grew up associating love with pain. Adeline breaks through some of the walls he has up and is able to show him love isn’t always painful. There was action & suspense. It was fast paced and pulls you in right from the beginning. There was definitely some spice and I have to mention the side character of Jackson was great!! He is the cousin to Lucien and he will make you laugh.

Finally, the conclusion to this dark and steamy love story. Oh, my, but Ms. Snyder kept us on tender hooks for what seemed like forever, but in the end, true loves find their way to their HEA ending. I enjoyed this two book series and will read the author again, this duo left that good of a taste in my mouth!!!

I don't leave synopsis of a book, as the author's blurb does a much better job then I ever could, nor do I leave spoilers as I feel this does an injustice to subsequent readers. I am leaving this review voluntarily. My Rating 4.75 stars

This is the sequel to Keeping Her and it was everything that I had hoped for and more! I received a review copy and this is my freely given, honest opinion. If you haven't read Keeping Her, you cannot start with Saving Him. You will be confused so please look at my review for that book. Now for those of you that have been waiting for the finale to Lucien and Adeline's story, you will not be disappointed. There will be many twists and turns, highs and lows but ultimately these two will get an ending that they both want and deserve. Angela Snyder did a great job of keeping me engaged throughout both books. Normally dark romance is something that I do not search out but I am so lucky that I stumbled into this series because it might be somewhat taboo but it is not dangerously so. We all know by know that Luc worked with the FBI trying to bring down a human trafficking ring while sampling the willing participants. We all know that he has a list of kinks as long as the road but we fall in love with him anyway. Who cannot help but love Adeline? She is one of the sweetest girls that has ever had the misfortune of being born into the wrong family. Pick up this duet because it's one that I highly recommend.

Incredible ending to this beautiful dark sweetness. This book definitely has more edge to it for me. Adeline has to deal with an ex who hates but wants/needs her and she's mourning the loss of a once in a lifetime love. There is a lot of tension and suspenseful bits to keep you hooked and I loved the ending so damn much and wish I could have more of Lucien and Adeline!!!

This book kicks off right from where Keeping Her ended with absolutely no gaps. I will admit that I was a bit worried that Saving Him wouldn't be able to compare to the first book. Saving Him exceeded all my expectations! It truly was an exceptional read. Lucian and Adeline go through a lot in this book. The drama is intense, the heat scorching, and the love between them undeniable. This has been one of my absolute favorite series to ever read! I can't wait for Jackson's story.

This is book two in the Keep Me Series. Book one was Keeping Her and really should be read first for the best understanding.

In book one we read about a mob romance that features Adeline and Lucien. Their story is great and I loved it. She is the perfect daughter of a mob boss and has been committed to an arranged marriage by her father. Her fiance sells her to the wolf aka Lucien for money. An emotional roller coaster that involves kidnapping, erratic behavior and all sorts of surprises. This was an enjoyable read.

In this book #2 we pick up right where book one leaves off. We have all fallen for Lucien and it's really hard to say more without a spoiler. A great story with lots of suspense and drama that will keep you page turning. A great story that is a wonderful conclusion to Lucien and Adeline's story .

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Wow! Angela has done it again with the conclusion of this series. Amazing, off the charts sizzling heat between Lucien and Adeline, so much action, twists and turns, dark but hopeful. No spoilers here this is a must read, definitely need to read Keeping Her first to understand what is going on between them. Adeline is changing Lucien life for the better, it's heartwarming to see his progress, their relationship is growing and deepening it's a beautiful thing to see. These two have turned their relationship around and belong together, so much has happened and now it will never end. I highly recommend this book to everyone, actually the whole series, you will not be disappointed. If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for? #1clickit!

Saving Him by Angela Snyder is a dark romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephen Borne and Auri Alden. This is the second book in the Keep Me series.

This is the first series of Angela's that I have read, and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future. I liked the relationship that bloomed between Lucien and Adeline. Their relationship was messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really liked getting Lucien, Adeline, and Giovanni's points of view throughout the book.

Stephen and Auri did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, captive romances, or romantic suspense.

Everything I expected and more!!!

This is the second book in the series and you have to read the first to get the entire story. I loved this book. I was happy that we got to know more about Lucien' s past so we could understand him more. We had some twists in this book and for a bit I wasn't sure where the story was going to end up. If you like kidnap romance books this is for you. While this is a dark romance I would say it's on the lighter side. I'm looking forward to more books!!
