A prequel to the Into the Darkness series.

Blake Kerrigan, one of the few remaining fire dragon shifters, wants nothing more than to be left alone. As an incredibly powerful dragon, he must restrain himself or burn too hot for his own good.

Tasked with protecting two wolf shifter women for the night, Blake and his friend Riley find themselves up against more than they bargained for. When a stunningly mysterious Fae shows up, Riley finds himself losing control.

With his power at risk, can Blake make the difficult choices or forsake everything he knows?

>Book Review – Touch of Power

>This is the first book in the Into the Darkness series and ends in a cliffhanger. Blake and Riley are step brothers and dragons. Blake is a unique fire dragon. He is big, tough and a huge introvert. Riley is a regular dragon, fun-loving and a huge extrovert. Together they are tasked as bodyguards one night. A lot of things go wrong. Blake reacts in a typically wild manner, causing a lot of consequences with his own ruling board.

>Blake is enamored of a Fae woman he met. She somehow steals his power and dragon, only giving him enough power to do her dirty work. He is both attracted to and repelled by Kali, but is bound to help her. A dragon shifter without his dragon or any power is a shell that cannot even be considered to be alive. Blake needs Kali in order to live.

>It seems that the ruling council of dragons knows that Blake met Kali and that he would be in danger. No one really helped Blake or warned him, causing Blake to massively fail and become tied to the evil Kali.

>I am a reviewer for Romance Author’s that Rock. I am giving this story 3 stars. The characters are not developed very much. Back stories are mentioned, but not really gone into. The motivation of Kali needed to be explained a little more. I realize that the story is only part one of a series, but Kali’s part seems odd without any explanation. Maybe if the governing Fae who knew Kali described her to Blake, a few question marks could have been answered. This story is appropriate for an adult audience.

A little confusing to start with, as there is no explanation as to why the Fae rule the dragons. The power that calls to Blake so strongly is also inexplicable, and by the end of the book the strange woman has a name, but one still knows nothing more about her.

Dragon shifters, bitchy fae, and a kidnapping of another mystical kind; 150 pages of magical intrigue, action packed reading. This is a new author for me and her writing was exquisite, holding me captivated until the end.

intriguing start to a series. Hot hero and a nice dollop of peril and angst.

There is nothing worse than ruining a book by the author not even proofreading it. This book is filled with errors, so don't waste your time.
