4.5 GHOSTLY STARS
This is how you write a prequel!!! SI!!! ME GUSTA!
Amig@s, do you remember Ghost? Yeah, Brian's friend. That's the one. That guy who got a book called Leave Me Breathless. Oh yeah you all loved Brian but guess what? I liked Ghost way more!
You all know by now that I HATE SEQUELS AFTER HEAs, they are so bloody BORING! Buy guess what? I love PREQUELS! And this one, boy this shit was GOOD!
Macy aka KILLJOY is Candace's best friend but she's trying to sell herself as a very boring and conventional person. Then she meets Ghost and even though he's not her cuppa AT ALL she feels attracted by him. DUH! I am attracted to him too.
Let me tell you a personal story. My mama always tells me to go out with clean underwear as if I wouldn't do it if she didn't tell me! Anyway, I now understand why she used to tell me that... Because one day I can go out to buy dinner and I can find Ghost and then I might or might not go to his car to have *cough* dirty sex *cough*. I am gonna call my mum to say THANKS for that advice, she's a naughty mum, huh?
Oh well, back to the book... You are going to read about what happened BEFORE Leave Me Breathless and someone might take your breath away so be aware.
It's a very short read and you are soooo gonna love it!

Unfortunately Breathe Me In did not take my breath away. I promise I'm going to make it short and easy.
It was good, it was nice, it was ok but it did not wow me. What I enjoyed was the steamy sex scene but other than that it felt pretty average. In hindsight I'm just happy that Leave Me Breathless (Ghost and Macy's story) knocked my socks off. Besides, I would recommend you to read Candace and Brian's short story Light Me Up. It's part of the anthology A Very Naughty Xmas. This novella was much better than Breathe Me In.
While reading Breathe Me In there have been certain hints why I didn't like Macy in Leave Me Breathless. A weak and weepy heroine with too many hang-ups doesn't appeal to me. I just didn't like how Macy treated Ghost. Yeah, Take your finger outta your ass woman and stop being petulant (I'm talking about both books, the main story and the novella). Then again, it's the hero who makes a story for me and Ghost definitely pushed all the right girlie buttons. So, I'm adding an extra half star solely for Ghost. For what it's worth Macy's characterization was consistent but that doesn't mean I have to like her.
Maybe it's another case of 'it's not the book, it's me'. Happy reading!

Bad boy meets the best of behaved girls in a battle of the hearts, a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Who can resist a story like this? Certainly not me, there is nothing not to fall in lust with, Lynn Cherrie has delivered a novella that is larger than life and I ate up every chapter from beginning to end.
What's it all about?
Seth 'Ghost' Warren is a tattoo artist, living his life his way not caring to be committed to any long term attachments, that is until he is enchanted by Macy a good girl from the other side of the tracks this sweet, beautiful girl has got his attention and slowly becomes his every thought. This short story gives fans of 'Leave me breathless' an extra slice of the action, giving the reader an extra glimpse into the juicy meeting of hearts. Readers be prepared for a hot couple of hours ... Enjoy.
What I loved ...
Ghost is a favourite character of mine, both tough and sweet in equal measure I loved getting his perspective on meeting Macy. The author does a gorgeous job of connecting the dots and filling the reader in on parts of the story.
Final thoughts ...
Fans of Ghost and Macy are not to miss out on this cleverly put together package. I was weak at the knees and all kinds of mushy inside from another chance to meet Ghost. All in all a lovely well written quickie that more than hit the spot.

Author Dedication : To all those who wondered what happened in the back of the GTO...
Short. Sweet. Sexy. Sinful. Satisfying.
I'm gonna keep this review quick because the story is quick!
Breathe Me In was just what I needed after a lengthy high fantasy read. Talk about the perfect palate cleanser! Cherrie Lynn is a master at building up a sex scene. Whew!
If anyone is going to bring me back to romantica after a hiatus, it's Ms. Lynn. This little gem is going onto my very short re-read list. I wish I could go back and re-read Ghost and Macy's book now because I love their chemistry - it's completely off-the-charts.
What is it about these car scenes? Brian and Candace had a smokin' car scene, and so have Ghost and Macy. They almost make me want to go hook up in a car somewhere (most likely in a parking lot). Almost. I think my days of staring into police flashlights are over though...
There's not much else to say. I'm just happy to have gotten another scrap of the hotness that Cherrie Lynn writes.
You probably noticed this listed as 2.5 in a series. When should it be read? If you don't want to be confused about what's going on in the background, you should read book 2 Rock Me first (skip book 1, you don't need to read it). However, I enjoyed Breathe Me In so much having read book 3 ahead of time. This was a "wonder what happened" scene, and it was more fun getting to find out what had gone on before when reading it after the fact. But it's your call!

Finally!!! I’ve always wondered, what the hell happened in the back of the GTO. Okay, I didn't really wonder, I have a pretty good imagination, I just wanted the details ... lol
Perfect addition to this series, I do have to say though, kinda glad I read
because I got where she was coming from. Macy's a ‘lil hypocritical and a total cynic in this one, that is of course until Ghost gets her to laugh! They are polar opposites but love how they fit in their own way… can’t wait for Gabriella’s book!

This was a great novella that showed us inside Ghost’s head when he first met Macy. Ghost and Macy first meet through their best friends who are dating. Ghost is a bad boy tattoo artist and Macy is a good girl.
I can be good. Or I can be as bad as you want me to be.
They begin hanging out and forming a friendship. During this time their best friends, Brian and Candace, are also going through a rough patch in their relationship. Candace’s family does not like Brian and are giving her a hard time. As best friends Ghost and Macy are there for their friends, but also find a way to chat and hang out. The sexual attraction builds quickly between them.
Because she had no doubt her safe little world was about to be well and thoroughly rocked, and who knew if it would even be recognizable after he was done with her.
One night they decide to act on those feelings and “christen” Ghost’s car.
”God, that’s good…please don’t stop,” she whispered, her eyes clenched shut, breath panting gently in rhythm with his movements.
Stop? What in the fuck? She must’ve had a minute man in her past. “I got you, baby, don’t worry,” he said, and she opened up her pleasure-glazed eyes to stare up at him. “I got you.”
*SIGH* I enjoyed this novella and miss Ghost now. Maybe I’ll re-read Leave Me Breathless soon.

Woohoo!!! More from Cherrie Lynn, the Ross boys and Ghost. I’m a huge fan of these books, and as soon as I saw this, I had to drop everything and read it straight away. Ghost absolutely stole my heart in his book – Leave Me Breathless - and now, we get what is essentially a prequel to that book – Ghost and Macy’s first hot encounter.
I was expecting this to be just the famous "back seat" scene between Macy and Ghost, and yeah, that’s there in all of its hotness, but there’s also a sensational build up to their big moment. There is flirting, texting and some sweet and funny time between them before it all happens. They have a strong connection, and I loved seeing them in these early stages. And I was actually surprised at the intensity of what they were feeling, but I loved it!
“She had no doubt her safe little world was about to be well and thoroughly rocked, and who knew if it would even be recognizable after he was done with her.”
This novella takes place during the action of Rock Me, starting the day after the concert in Dallas, and finishing a little bit beyond the end of that book, so we get to see a bit more behind the scenes of Candace and Brian’s relationship - . Plus we get to see Macy's turmoil over some of the events that unfolded during that time, and how that impacted on her.
As for the events in the back seat - Cherrie Lynn sure knows how to write a hot love scene, and she certainly doesn’t disappoint with this one! It’s hot, heavy, and intense.
“You came,” he said simply, not losing that smile.
Yes, hopefully I will.

So, this is the starting of Ghost’s and Macy’s story. (Brian’s and Candace’s best friends. By that order.)
I can tell you much about this because since I’ve yet to read their story, but I can definitely tell you that Ghost seems to be sexy-as-sin and if the book will be as good as this short story, it will be a damn good one.

Fantastic addition to Seth and Macy's story. I cannot get enough of those two. Now going to have to go so a re-read of Leave me Breathless. I cannot tell you how much I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Loved this!! The only thing I would say against it, is I wish this would have been released prior to Ghost and Macy's story. With that said, it left me wanting to read their story all over again.

I. WANT. MORE. I loved this little prequel. I loved Leave Me Breathless, it's one of my favorites and I have read it several times. I call it my go-to book. It just has everything I like and I enjoy the read everytime. Breathe Me In is just perfect. It's not too long but not too short, just right ;) I devoured it in about an hour without putting it down and when I finished I wanted to dive into Leave Me Breathless again.
The car scene...yea..that was H-O-T. Nothing else to say about that. =) I'm in love with Seth (Ghost) Warren. Can you be in love with a fictional character??? Who cares? I am. If you've read Leave Me Breathless then you need to pick this one up. It won't take long to read and it will put a dreamy smile on your face..

The day I saw Breathe Me In by Cherrie Lynn was out, I dropped everything and bought it. It was a total surprise, and what a yummy one! You see, The Ross Siblings Series is one of my favorite ever. This little novella is a prequel to book 3, Leave Me Breathless, and takes place during the events of Rock Me (You MUST read Rock Me first!) but you can read this before, or after Leave Me Breathless.

This is the missing scene from Rock Me. The one where Macy and Ghost have the fateful first hookup in the back of Ghost's GTO. From the description, you think that's all this book is, one wham-bam-thank-you ma'am, but of course, you should know better.

I forgot how snarky and well.....bitchy Macy came off back during Rock Me and at the beginning of Leave Me Breathless. But I liked going back and revisiting her. Before Ghost broke down all of her walls and we got to know her.
I loved reading the scenes from Rock Me, especially her thought process when she witnessed "the event" but didn't tell right away. I also loved reading more about Ghost. If he made your heart throb in Leave Me Breathless, he is just as amazing here. <3
Ghost is way high on my book boyfriend list.

-GHOST!!!!!! Seriously, the guy is pierced for pleasure, tattooed, and a total sweetheart. And he's shaved bald. Though I've never been with a bald guy (well, my husband is almost there, but it isn't deliberate) but I think they are sexy.
-Cherrie writes AWESOME sex and great stories. Her writing is pretty flawless. That is why she is at the top of my Books with hot sex and great stories list.
-Having a good reason to go back and visit with the characters at the time of the books, and see some of the events through different eyes.
-It was the story we were missing. Perfect for filling in a few gaps, visiting with our favorite characters, and making us want to re-read the whole series.

Cherrie made me so happy with this little 82 page novella. I loved having a reason to visit my favorite tattoo shop, and Brian and Ghost. I can't wait to read more from Cherrie!
If you have not read this series, you must! You don't necessarily have to read Unleashed. But I loved it, even though it wasn't about a tattooed bad boy, but the nice lawyer brother. Still awesome.

WHAAATTT???? A Surprise book by one of my favorite authors??? And it is part of one of my favorite series???

The day I saw Breathe Me In by Cherrie Lynn was out, I dropped everything and bought it. It was a total surprise, and what a yummy one! You see, The Ross Siblings Series is one of my favorite ever. This little novella is a prequel to book 3, Leave Me Breathless, and takes place during the events of Rock Me (You MUST read Rock Me first!) but you can read this before, or after Leave Me Breathless.

This is the missing scene from Rock Me. The one where Macy and Ghost have the fateful first hookup in the back of Ghost's GTO. From the description, you think that's all this book is, one wham-bam-thank-you ma'am, but of course, you should know better.

"Come on. Live a little dangerously."
"Climb back there? I'm in a skirt."

I forgot how snarky and well.....bitchy Macy came off back during Rock Me and at the beginning of Leave Me Breathless. But I liked going back and revisiting her. Before Ghost broke down all of her walls and we got to know her.
I loved reading the scenes from Rock Me, especially her thought process when she witnessed "the event" but didn't tell right away. I also loved reading more about Ghost. If he made your heart throb in Leave Me Breathless, he is just as amazing here. <3
Ghost is way high on my book boyfriend list.

-GHOST!!!!!! Seriously, the guy is pierced for pleasure, tattooed, and a total sweetheart. And he's shaved bald. Though I've never been with a bald guy (well, my husband is almost there, but it isn't deliberate) but I think they are sexy.
-Cherrie writes AWESOME sex and great stories. Her writing is pretty flawless. That is why she is at the top of my Books with hot sex and great stories list.
-Having a good reason to go back and visit with the characters at the time of the books, and see some of the events through different eyes.
-It was the story we were missing. Perfect for filling in a few gaps, visiting with our favorite characters, and making us want to re-read the whole series.

Cherrie made me so happy with this little 82 page novella. I loved having a reason to visit my favorite tattoo shop, and Brian and Ghost. I can't wait to read more from Cherrie!
If you have not read this series, you must! You don't necessarily have to read Unleashed. But I loved it, even though it wasn't about a tattooed bad boy, but the nice lawyer brother. Still awesome.

Jenny: So THAT’S what happened in the back of the GTO ’69! Ghost and Macy have sexual chemistry in spades and it was awesome to get the opportunity to spend more time with them, and not only that, we got to go back in time and witness the shenanigans in the back of that car.

Once again Cherrie Lynn delivers in the steam factor, though I have to be honest and say the actual getting down to the nitty and gritty wasn’t as explosive as I expected but it still did warrant digging that fan out! Getting a bit of background into that time in Rock Me, one of my favourite books, was an added bonus.
There’s not much else to say except…..if you’re a fan of this series, read this one! If you haven’t checked out the Ross Siblings series yet then Go, Go, Go and add them to your reading lists.

Gitte: I think this series by Cherrie Lynn is one of my favourites, so any new instalment gets me excited and yeah she writes real passionate characters so that pulse gets going for sure!
I love the characters, stories and her flawless writing. I’m a huge fan of Ghost so I was really looking forward to getting stuck in.
Even though I did really enjoy it, I was also back to the old place of frustration and annoyance at Macy. I kept having to remind myself how I did end up connecting with her, even loving her character at the end of Leave Me Breathless. It was tough though as she really grated on my nerves again.
The chemistry between Ghost and Macy sure is off the charts and Ghost is just a pretty amazing guy all round. This story is all about him for me, which is why I enjoyed it as much as I did. I love this guy. Truly.
I enjoyed getting back to the story from Rock Me, it was a fab re-visit and I was reminded again how much I LOVE this series! It was short, sweet and very sexy! And yes, absolutely, this is definitely one to stick on the ‘to be read’ list!

I seriously don’t know how Cherrie Lynn does it time and time again but I’m thankful that she does. Breathe Me In is a prequel (think short story) that takes place during Rock Me and prior to Leave Me Breathless, so if you haven’t read Rock Me, you might want to before you attempt to read this short story.
It’s hard not to love this story which lets us in on what happened between Macy and Ghost (Seth). I’ll admit I’m amazed at the depth of this story and delighted to see both of their reactions as they spend some time together. These two seem like the most unlikely pair yet together they fit and they are so good for one another.
While this story takes place over just a few weeks it’s evident that both of these characters feel something for the other and it’s intimidating and real. While the majority of the story has them bantering back and forth when they do finally give in, their intimate moment in the back seat of Ghost’s classic GTO is amazingly hot yet it’s easy to tell they both are feeling something neither one is sure they are ready for.
Does this prequel have a happy ending? No, it doesn’t but for those of us who have read Leave Me Breathless, we know how their relationship plays out and it is way more than satisfactory. I am so excited to finally have my questions about their clandestine meeting answered and see where it all began. Well done Cherrie and thank you, it was every bit as good as I hoped for and then some!

I loveee Ghost!
He is just so hot. I love the way he speaks, his charming wit, his tattoos... and that piercing. Being inside his head again was an absolute pleasure.
What I didn't like? - Macy
She was 'judgemental, hypocritical and dishonest' - her words not mine. I just couldn't stand how bitchy and selfish she was. I really enjoyed Leave Me Breathless even though she wasn't my favourite character. But I don't remember her being this bad.
"Did you think he was going to marry you? Come on, Candace. This was a fling for him. Don't let your emotions get so tied up in it."
I mean, who says shit like that? And this was to her heartbroken and weeping 'best friend since birth'. What an insenstive jerk. It's a wonder people choose to hang out with her.
Because she's a stuck-up prude, Macy won't shut up about how Candace shouldn't date people like Brian, a hot tattoo artist. But then literally seconds after learning Ghost's name she climbs into the back of his car. And this was in an empty parking lot during the dead of the night. Come again?
The way this book ended made me want to strangle her. I think if I saw this girl on the street I would slap her. Okay maybe not, but just not a fan. So why was Ghost so fond of this girl? No fucking idea.

We know where Macy and Ghost end up, we know what they went through to get there - but what we never knew... was how it all started. How did Macy end up friends with Ghost while trying to get Candace to let Brian go? This is the story of that night that was shared all those months before he left to go home to help his family. We get to see the start of his pull towards the good-girl Marcy and her struggle with her attraction to a man that is the complete opposite of who she would want.
After reading this I want to dive right back into this series and read more. I love Cherrie Lynn's writing style and just how hot these scenes are. Just this one simple scene from this story draws you back into their story and makes you crave picking up LMB just to experience more!

YEAH!!! Finally got to read the story of what happened in the car. I love Ghost & Macy!!!!!! I wasn't too sure about him when I first read Rock Me. Maybe because I was in love with Brian. But then I met him Leave Me Breathless and fell hard in love. Love his whole persona of bad boy - the bald head, tattoo's, dark eyes!!! He and Macy are opposites and I love their interaction. I also love hot rod cars. Thanks Ms. Cherrie for another awesome read!!!

I feel this author doesn't get the recognition she deserves. She knows how to write, she keeps your attention throughout the story, makes you want to be the heroine so you can hook up with the hero and the sex, love making, fucking...however you want to call it is well written and scorching hot.

Already read 'Ghost' (Seth) and Macy's story a while ago but took the opportunity to find out exactly what happened between them, and oh boy the scene in the back of Ghost's car was very hot indeed!
I am now thinking I might have to go back and read their full story again :)

This is a prequel to the story "Leave Me Breathless", which I absolutely loved. In this short we get the full accounting of the shadowy hook-up between Ghost and Macy that was referenced in "Rock Me" and "Leave Me Breathless".
I loved visiting with Macy and Ghost again. I adore their connection and their chemistry. Two problems though. One, Macy was still in her tightly controlled, semi-bitchy phase and even though I know she's on the way out of it, it's still happening in this story. Two, the window of time upon which we're gazing is the worst part of "Rock Me" when Candace is being TSTL and an utter basketcase. So, while I love every encounter between Ghost and Macy, every scene with Candace makes me want to bang my head against a wall. And I want to kick Macy for being so scared to take a chance ... but then that's kind of silly because I know how it all works out.
So, in short, read "Leave Me Breathless" before you read this and enjoy it as a nice little fix of a favorite couple.

This was a great quick read. What can I say except it was more Ghost, Macy, Brian and Candace. I can never get enough of that group of characters. I did enjoy the fact that it filled in some spaces from Rock Me. We got to see what happened between Macy and Ghost in Rock Me.
Would definitely recommend this book to anyone that's a fan of this series!!!!
