Rate this book
Life in Lincoln, Maine couldn't seem more boring for introverted writer, Mark Stevens. But he liked it that way. Alex Sutherland just wanted to fit in with his friends in Portland and get noticed by one in particular, Beth Malone. Life seemed normal. That would change. After a strange object explodes in the sky, Mark and Alex each find they have amazing new abilities. And they aren't alone. In New York a string of bank vaults are mysteriously emptied with no trace left behind. Now two factions are looking for those who have discovered these new abilities. Each with a different purpose for them in mind. People who lived normal lives face changes they never expected, and will be taken to places they thought they'd never go.

About the author

Stephen York

Stephen York was born and raised in Maine. An only child until the age of fifteen and raised in small towns with not much to do, he developed an active imagination to keep himself occupied. Writing became a real passion throughout grade school, and his desire to learn and find answers brought him to major in broadcast journalism at the University of Maine.

Starting in high school his creativity inspired many skits and puppet shows for the children’s church that he was actively involved in, and kept his passion for writing alive.

Inspired by comics and Saturday morning cartoons as a child, the idea for this series and its characters was birthed in Stephen’s mind at the age of five. Over the years it evolved and grew as he grew, becoming more mature and in depth until a major life transition encouraged the story to finally be put to paper as it is today.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You can't put this book down. The characters are so relatable and the story is so perfectly written you get sucked into this book! It's like you are right there in the story with the characters just watching it all happen! This would make a killer movie too! I cannot wait for more! Definitely my favorite book and now my favorite author! Absolutely spellbound! Bravo!
