Ash Pride Being the sexiest man alive is a curse. The day People magazine gave me that title and plastered me on every newsstand in the country was the day my life got complicated. Finding a nanny is hard enough when your four-year-old son is a prankster, who lives to torture his nanny. But now every applicant wants to sleep with me, and I don’t do the nanny. It’s my only rule, and I never break it. Until I now, until Stella. Stella Deardon The Cattle Industry Convention and Trade show was supposed to be boring. That was before sexy billionaire rancher Ash Pride tried to rope me into being his son’s nanny. I’m no Mary Poppins; I don’t know the first thing about kids, and I already have a job on my family’s ranch. But Ash Pride doesn’t take no for an answer, and when he looks at me with his sensual dark eyes, I’m not sure how long I can keep turning him down.
I love summer, the smell of clean babies, lilacs and swimming. I'm a Midwestern mother of five, Mimi of two and owner of three fur babies.
I spend my weekdays writing full time and raising my family.
I write about intelligent women and the stubborn men who love them. I write about turmoil and conflict. I write about the most complex, convoluted emotion we as humans experience.
Emerson wrote a story that had a twist in the plot I was not expecting. WOW...no wonder Ash had abandonment issues. His father Adam and ex-fiance Abigail did not make matters any better. Adam blamed Ashton for losing his wife and drilled his unworthiness for love into his son. This was the biggest reason why Ash was a player, until Stella stumbled into he and Cannon's life.
I enjoyed reading this story about complicated characters that had issues from their families and childhood they were still working through as adults. Ash and Stella were each other's healing balm filled with love for each other and Cannon.
I read this book series out of order. Stella was ambiguous at best. I was under the impression that this was an interracial romance. Doesn't seem to be so.
Stella has been sent to The Cattle Industry Convention instead of her father and it's about to change her life forever. Ash and Cannon are at the convention too and Cannon is throwing one major tantrum. Ash steps in line behind Stella, not knowing she's about to change his life forever. Stella being cool drops down to his level and silences him with one sentence and I think Cannon loves her. Ash gets recognized for People magazine's sexiest man alive and is about to get trampled by hoards of people and Ash ushers Stella and Cannon, who is clinging to her for dear life, to an escape route. Ash loves his son dearly and will do anything to protect him. No one sees this side of him and Stella gets front row seats. She is attracted to him. And she likes Cannon too. They spend the week together getting to know each other and they don't want to separate so Ash asks her back to his ranch for an extra week. I loved how Stella was with Cannon and how Cannon was with Stella. He completely turned his behavior around and back at the ranch nobody can believe the way Cannon behaves. This book was more about Cannon for me. He stole my heart while reading this book. He was such a cutie. Stella was a natural with kids and Ash encouraged her to pursue a career with kids. He seemed to be the only one who believes in her. Her family seemed like all she was good for was to be a ranch hand all her life. I loved Stella and Ash together too but that was secondary for me. I loved how Ash changed his ways for Stella. She was what he was looking for all his life. And OMG, what his bloody father done to him was damn right cruel. Broke my heart when all that came to the surface. Ash had so much love to give and he found the right woman to give it too. Totally loved every bit of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an advanced copy!
Stella Deardon loved her family and has never left the family farm. She is thirty and still living at home. Who does that? Stella and she does it for her family. It's starting to make her feel like something is missing in her life. She heads to convention as her families representative and hears this noise in the lobby. A little guy having the biggest tantrum she has ever seen. She quietly walks over and starts talking to him and to his father's amazement he calms right down and talks to her. Ash Pride is branded Sexiest Man Alive by a magazine and rues the day. Yes of course he likes getting out and having fun and also likes having fun with the ladies but to be names as such, everyone wants you. He has had many nannies for his son and they always end up leaving as quick as they come. Most times they want to be nanny to get to me and well they don't know I stay away from them. He needs them for his son, not him. Then he see's how easily this woman has so easily quieted his son and is amazed. He is intrigued by this woman and needs to see more of her. This was a great story to read. Loved seeing how well she and Cannon got along like they were best friends all along and how she and his daddy got to know each other as well.
I'm not sure where to start with this book. Ash has been voted sexiest man alive, but he is just your typical father to an adorable little boy named Cannon. Stella is at the Cattle Convention to represent her family's ranch. All three meet up when they are standing in line to check in. Ash and Cannon get behind Stella at the hotel with Cannon pitching a major fit. It takes Stella seconds to calm the boy down, and his father is amazed. As they all get to know one another, it's perfectly clear they are a perfect fit. Stella doesn't think ranching is for her, but that is all she knows. Ash wants her to be Cannon's Nanny, but she's not so sure that's a fit for her either. The more time they spend together as a family, one thing is clear though, neither of them wants to be without the other.
To me, Cannon was the highlight of the book and drew his father, Ash and Stella together. This is definitely a book I'll be reading again.
## GOOD READ. There is so much to like about this book. First of all the hero and heroine have tremendous chemistry. That's definitely a must. Their dialogue was honest and sexy. Second, Cannon (4 year old son) was completely adorable. Another thing I liked is that when the Barbie doll ex tries to cause trouble, the hero shuts her down. Hard. I've read too many stories where the hero lets the ex back into his and his kid's lives which subsequently causes the heroine heartbreak. So kudos to the author for that. One thing I did NOT like was that the heroine was described as "a natural" with kids perfect for becoming a teacher, yet she was a smoker, who drank a lot of whiskey, and cursed up a storm. The constant mention of the cigarettes was a big turn off for me. Nothing sexy about that, hence the one star deduction. Other than that, this was a terrific read. Fyi, the first story ends at 19%. I did not read the others.
The Cowboy’s Nanny is the second book in the Whiskey Hill Ranch Series. It’s been a while since I have read this author's books. Plus this has been sitting on my Kindle Unlimited TBR list for probably just as long. I am so happy to have picked this book up to read.
This is Ash Pride and Stella Deardon’s story. They met at a Cattle Convention. Ash’s son takes to Stella very fast! He is tired of nanny’s and thinks he is too big to have a nanny. After all, he is 4 ½ years old! Of course you know that kids can steal the show and he does!
Get ready for an insta-love romance. I do believe in them. I have now been married for 43 years after having my own insta-love romance!
Stella is now dating Ash and they will be using the boyfriend girlfriend excuse and that Stella is Cannon’s friend, not “nanny”.
The Cowboy’s Nanny was a nice escape from today’s reality. I loved reading it.
I love all of Emerson Rose's books and this is no exception! Stella was forced by her family to go to a cattle convention that she absolutely did not want to attend. While waiting to check in for her room, she was distracted by a little boy throwing the worst tantrum. Stella decided to just ask the child what was wrong instead of glaring at the father and son like everyone else was doing. To everyone's surprise, he simply told her he didn't want to be there. The two instantly bonded when Stella told him she didn't want to be there any more than he did. Little Cannon and Stella's friendship was instant! Such an adorable little boy! And his daddy...Ash. Boy were the sparks flying between Stella and Ash! I loved going on the journey with these three, I felt like I was right there with them. Loved this book!
I love me some cowboy so I had to read this one. The storyline surprised me as it wasn't what I originally thought. Stella's role I guess was not the way I envisioned it but I liked it. Slightly unexpected but still interesting. Cannon. Oh for the love of Cannon. Completely believable little character. Funny without trying to be and enjoyable to read. Kind of love that little guy. Now Ash. Truly to good to be true so I guess he's fitting as a fictional character. He's a whole bunch of yum on every level. The idea of a cowboy was there but not heavily incorporated into his character. The billionaire part comes out strong and clear though. There is also enough back story to keep you going to the end. I liked it. It was light with some seriousness but not dark (thankfully) with random humor thrown in for a good read.
Perfect combination of sass, panty-melting chemistry and swoon worthy moments
This book has the perfect combination of sass, panty-melting chemistry, swoon worthy moments and for a dash of sweet, the cutest five year old ever, Cannon! I really enjoyed this book, Stella and Ash had great chemistry. The dynamic between the three was very well done. Stella meets Ash and Cannon in the lobby of a hotel. She first takes notice of the pair due to Cannon's major melt down. Not one to let a little boy make her day worse off than it was, she does what most would never do. From the moment Stella was magically able to calm down Cannon, Ash was hooked. Little did she know that was the moment she sealed her fate.
This included several bonus books as well as The Cowboy's Nanny. I loved the beginning of the book that took place at the convention. It was well planned and plotted and the character development and interactions were excellent. The latter half of the book makes some huge jumps over events that are very important to decisions the characters are making, but are really glossed over in a paragraph. I assume that these are explained in other books. I found this frustrating. I don't think you resolve years of issues with your parents not believing in you in a paragraph or two that doesn't even include any direct interaction with those parents. Stella gets shortchanged in her character development by this. I didn't go on and read the other books included.
I was surprised to find this book had so many extra books in it. I enjoyed all the stories. I want to congratulate Emerson on getting the correct spelling of Marines in the Major story, being a former Marine it was wonderful for an author to get it correct. I would recommend these books to any mature broad minded readers.

I Borrowed The Cowboy's Nanny from the Kindle Unlimited Program.
Ash Rich, billionaire Montana rancher has just been named 'Sexiest Man Alive' by People's Magazine. He enters a hotel with his four and a half year old son screaming like a banshee. Stella Deardon is the last person in line and lowers to Cannon's level and asks what is he upset about. Cannon stops screaming and smiles and Stella makes a new friend.
The story develops with a few set backs, help from Cannon and determination by Ash to make Stella a part of the family forever. Cannon is delightful, full of energy and is a very great part of The Cowboy's Nanny that isn't a nanny after all.
Another amazing book for Emerson Rose. Every time I read one, it becomes a new favorite! Ash and Stella's story does not disappoint. Ash and Stella see one another in the lobby at a cattle convention. Stella immediately swoons over single daddy Ash standing proud with his son. Only his son is having a meltdown. He falls in line behind her and she swoops in to call his son. She immediately calms him and Ash is amazed. He brings her along and is determined to keep her. They have an instant attraction and after their week at the convention and some very steamy nights, Ash convinces her to come back t his ranch for another week. A week he intends to use convincing her to stay permanently. Some twists and turns you won't expect, some very amazing steamy scenes that will have you swooning and one very awesome storyline.
5 stars! I loved this book from start to finish! It was a very well written story about a few very loveable characters! Stella is at a sort of crossroads in her life when she happens to meet Ash and his young son. A very sweet relationship develops between Stella and the Pride boys with some very hot & steamy moments between Stella and Ash!! Add in some completely unexpected twists and turns and we have a book that I could not put down!! I'd definitely recommend this book!
*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
I voluntarily read an arc in exchange for an honest review! Absolutely love Ash and Stella's story. How can you not fall in love with this story when you meet Cannon. Stella is a gram hand at her parent farm. She doesn't know what she wants to do with her life. Ash was named " The sexiest Man alive " and has a reputation as being a womanizer. When the two meet there is an instant connection due to Stella knowing how to handle Cannon. It has a few twist that I didn't see coming. Can't wait to read more from this author!!!!
Absolutely loving this series and Emerson just upped the game in ut with Ash and Stellas story!!! This book had me hooked from the beginning when it all started with a screaming child and his "Sexiest Man of the Year" dad! Stella was amazing with how she was so easy going, but she knew when to fight back! We met Stella in her sister Charlottes story and to know the secrecy that went on with Stella in that story really helped to put a lot of things into perspective! I am now hoping Jack Jr. gets a story!!
I'm a sucker for a good cowboy romance. Ash and Stella were so sweet and sexy together, and I adored Cannon. Now how do they work out their different lives so that they can see more of each other? I thought it was a really engaging book, not too overly emotional, but it didn't need to be. This was a great cowboy romance read, not too heavily focused on the ranch, but still, when you have a hottie cowboy dad, it just doesn't get much better than that! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and also own a published copy.
Another great book in the series. Puts in place the way Stella was acting after the tornado. We get to see her side of things and her love story to the Pride boys. I love the relationship between Stella and Cannon. It's a Insta love and Ash falls just as hard. Things are not always roses on the ranch and twist come and almost ruin everything they have built. I love Emerson Rose and highly recommend her to everyone. 5 starts of love, laughing, twists and happy hearts. I received a advanced copy for a voluntary honest review.
This was a new author for me and I greatly enjoyed this story. I will be reading her books again. Ash meets Stella at a convention for ranchers and they quickly find each other far more interesting. Stella is beautiful and she has a way about her that quickly enthralls both Ash and his tornado of a four year old, Cannon. He doesn't want to let her go. Stella can't believe that "the sexiest man alive," according to a major magazine, both lives up to the hype and wants HER. She feels herself falling hard for both him and his boy. Can fairytales really come true?
My issue with this book was the conflicting statements/facts. Examples of a few: secondary character has the name Jospeh in the beginning of the book then further into the book his name was Adam, also in the beginning it's stated h has never left Montana then later in the book it's stated she went to Washington DC. I would suggest this author get a different editor or new Beta readers to help her catch these errors.
One thing I did enjoy about the book was the low angst level, these are the type of books I prefer to read.
When Ash a hot cowboy with a rowdy young son meets Stella, a sexy, sassy farm hand at the Cattle Industry Convention, his son is instantly bewitched by her. In desperate need of a new nanny Ash offers her the job. But she has a job working on her family's farm, and she doesn't know the first thing about kids. She can't accept this sexy cowboys offer, can she? This is a great book by Emerson Rose! I loved Ash and Stella, and along with an exciting storyline this book is an absolute must read. I couldn't recommend it more!
I loved the first story, which is why I originally bought the book. But the following four that were included in the book? Just wow! There was not one I didn’t love and each was better than the last. Emerson Rose is my new favorite author. I will read anything she writes! I stayed up late and delayed laundry and dinner to finish reading her stories. The characters were rich and intresting. The stories all had surprises in them. Definitely kept my intrest! Order this book. You will not be dissapointed!
A sweet story. While attending a convention on behalf of her ranching family Stella meets People Magazine's the 'Sexiest Man Alive' and his son Cannon. Her instant rapor with the son leads Ash to invite her to become his son's nanny. At first she says no but between falling for the father and son duo and realizing she needs to move forward with her life she relents and takes the job. Neither Ash or her have a good relationship with their parents and that draws them closer to each other. A happy ending enjoyed by all.
Ash and Stella have fantastic and steamy chemistry between them, with a twist, steamy sex, and I was hooked and enthralled from the very beginning. This is a well written storyline, which flows seamlessly. Emerson never disappoints her readers, and this one is certainly no different, and I cannot wait to read more from her. Brilliant work Emerson as usual!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book!
