Let's Go Outside

Rate this book
How many opposites do children encounter every day? Dark and light , small and big , inside and outside are just a few. In this illustrated, conceptual board book, young readers will learn pairs of opposite words in context by following a narrative about taking a dog for a walk. The tail-waggingly friendly illustrations work with the evocative text to further encourage readers and listeners to observe both the differences and similarities present in their surroundings.

I think I need to start a shelf for books I read while sorting the book bins and carting books at work. Obviously this is mostly board books and EZ readers.

A really cute dog gets to go outside and sniff! It's amazing! Not gonna lie, I was hoping the dog would also take care of business (Neko and I are currently having a poop showdown, wherein she refuses to poop and I get really frustrated), but this stays strictly G-rated. Much to enjoy.

Simple phrases and clear, but artistic, imagery. Fun moments for engagement like "sniffing" and other senses make this a fun one to share with your toddler.

Not necessarily the best for learning the concepts introduced in the book, but my baby and I liked the pictures.
