I bought it as a lot on vinted and it turned out to be a great addition to my art books : the author is specialized in painting urban areas and interior scenes… everything that I dislike ! By following the tutorials at the end, I got great colorful results and I want to implement them in painting my local surroundings.

I don’t know that I’d call it the “ultimate beginners guide” but it’s definitely beautiful and has a lot of great techniques to it. He is such a prolific artist that he filled a technique book with tons and tons of paintings throughout - impressive! Would recommend if you like really saturated/colorful art and can’t figure out why your colors are muddy

Learned a lot from this book - although it will be a long time before I can come close to putting paint on the page the way he does. Wish his palette was darker and moodier sometimes
