Tasteless... Crass...
Not my cuppa at all.

Here is one conversation between the hero and a mutual friend of the hero and heroine:
“You hit that shit last night?” Jacob asks me.
“Nah, she passed out.”
He nods and says, “You gonna?”
“Fuck, I’d like to.”

And here is another conversation between the hero and another friend of his, who happens to be a very close friend of the heroine. She sees this friend as a big brother. This conversation is after the hero and heroine had sex.
“So did you hit that yet, or what?”

What friends, indeed!

***FULL REVIEW***
4.5 WTH JUST HAPPENED CROWNS
This book, I seriously am struggling for words for this book. It is hot and dirty with a touch of dominant alpha, and the plot, the freaking plot twist in this book is unreal. It left me reeling, staring at my kindle with a gaping mouth.
The story begins with a whole group of friends unplugging for the week of vacation. While readers get to see several of the friends, the main focus is on Quinn and Merritt. Quinn is recovering from a horrendous breakup and has built huge stone walls around her heart, but this doesn't deter the Merritt. His advances mixed with his sweetness and obvious sexual prowess tears done all the walls she has created. There are times that Quinn seemed a little too pliable for me as a heroine, but it was never to the point of making me dislike her as a character, and there are times that I cheered for her strength. These moments of strength when she seemed to need it most make her a likable character. Merritt is smart and exudes power and dominance, seeming to command attention in and out of the bedroom. He is certainly a fun hero to read about, and his pursuit and treatment of Quinn makes him completely endearing.
These characters from the very beginning have instantaneous sexual attraction. It permeates throughout the room whenever they are together. And once they give into their desires, all bets are off. There is not a place, a position, a kink they aren't willing to try, repeatedly. There are times when I wish there would have been a little more emotional or personal connection between the two of them to help develop them as characters, but sometimes a good smutty novel is just the ticket, and at the end of the day it didn't detract from the overall story line.
Here is where things get tricky. The plot of this book blew my mind. The twist! I never saw it coming. Looking back, I should have. Comments and behaviors completely foreshadowed the plot bomb she planted, but I just didn't see her taking the reader down this path. And what a path it was! Once she drops the first bomb, they just kept right on coming! And once I got to this point in the story, choices she made in the development of her story (characterization, seemingly vague references to the boyfriend and other previous events) make sense when before it didn't. It really is a fantastic utilization of foreshadowing to mislead the reader. Even with the epic plot twist, L.K. Collins brings it all back together and will leave the reader 100% satisfied with the resolution of this story.
Unplugged is fun, sooo very dirty, which is sometimes exactly what I'm looking for, and kept me on the edge of my seat. With this book, L.K. Collins has earned herself a new fan!

Unplugged was a great weekend read cozied up under a blanket with my tea. The story was sexy, fun and had the push/pull I like to read in a second chance romance. I enjoyed that both main characters were strong, independent and could take as good as they gave. The chemistry between Merritt and Quinn was undeniable and not just under the sheets.
I enjoyed the setting and the premise of the story. It made for something a little different but completely believable and relatable.
LK Collins wrote in an unexpected twist within a twist. Loved it!!!
Unplugged was a true LK Collins story that kept me reading from beginning to end. This is a great one-click. Not to mention Merritt is delicious.

Merritt always has plans for when he sees his girl, “sex, food, sex, food, sex, food. That work with you?” Merritt is totally like the horse whisperer, the man can read their thoughts, “they both agreed…that you’re gonna need to ride me.” I liked this book, really loved Merritt, he was dominating, sweet and caring.

Be prepared to not do anything all freaking day...clear your schedule because once you get a glimpse of Merritt in Unplugged you are not gonna to want to put this book down!
Unplugged is sexy and addicting!
it all started with a yearly retreat and a no cellphone rule, completely unplugged from the world.
Quinn is trying to get over a messy breakup. what better way than to join her best friends for the annual yearly retreat.
Merritt is a workaholic on the way up to gaining the family company from his father who is set to retire anytime now. after the third year of hearing his best friend Ari beg him to come along on the retreat, he agrees.
When Merritt and Quinn set eyes on each other an instant connection between the two sparks and also a deal forms. A no strings attached week long hookup deal.
Omg. it's not every day you come across book boyfriend like Merritt! i freaking loved Merritt and Quinn together. No matter how set in her ways about the walls she has built up around her heart Merritt is also set in his ways when it comes to breaking down those walls. I Loved It!

Unplugged by LK Collins, literally did see me unplug from the world as I devoured this entire book in one go, desperately needing to now how Merritt & Quinn's journey played out & if they got the HEA they both chased. It was the kind of book that I so easily got lost in as I soaked up the emotions, humour & the most drool worthy sexipades that this very sweet & sinfully sexy couple showed from start to finish.
First up Quinn - I really liked this chic as a heroine & the way she embraced life. Clearly she is beautiful, but aside from that she has the most addictive sense of homour & overall adorable personality. Yes she just bouncing back from a pretty bad break up, but I loved the fact that she didn't continue to cry in her cornflakes, but instead grabbed her attraction to Merritt with both hands & rolled with it in all its dirty, drooling & delicious ways. Wow did this girl hit it hard & I don't mind saying just how much I am jealous - because the things I WOULDN'T do to Merritt would fit on the back of a stamp.
Now for Merritt, oh sweet lord.. This man is HAWT - like lets reproduce & have 10 babies right now. My ovaries were exploding left right & centre.. He made my heart flutter & my entire body tingle every time he just opened his dirty, perfect, luscious mouth. Confident yet not overly cocky. Caring & genuine - he is definitely one of the good guys. The kind that will screw you senseless while talking filth, but then offer to bake cupcakes with your granny. My kinda alpha with a slice of lime & line of salt on top!
Having met on a week long retreat they attended with mutual friends, their chemistry truly is off the charts. Unable to fight the insane sexual attraction they have to one another, they agree to 1 glorious week of 'anything goes' with a promise of going they separate ways in the end. The week is oh so good in every single way. Their banter is hilarious, the sex dirty, the tender moments swoon worthy & their emotions passionate - yup, all that wrapped up in this perfectly matched pair.
But 7 days fly by & the reality of what they both had is a cold reminder of what they left behind. It makes them both question why something so good had to be limited to 7 days & forces them to dig deep & fight for what they want. As they push & pull their way through the feelings that have consumed them both, they are thrown headfirst in to a reality that both of them could never have even imagined. With family ties, past mistakes & friendships ruined, will the love they have in their hearts be enough to heal the hurt & betrayal that threatens to ruin them forever.
LK's character development was fantastic, as she brought to life this crazy, impulsive couple. With my ever favorite dual pov. A steady pace packed with love & laughter & 2 jaw dropping plot twists that left me reeling & whole lot fucked off with one frickin dickwad whose name I won't say because - well you will see for yourself soon enough - she gave me a couple I easily connected with & totally fell in love with.
These are the kinda characters I ALWAYS want more from.. The kind you want to see pop up in other peoples stories, the ones you want to read about in Christmas Novellas & Summer vacation specials, the kind that you know will always bring sunshine to your heart.

3.5 Deceptive Stars
Quinn Whitmore is in desperate need of the annual "Unplugged" week she spends with friends, hosted by her best friends brother, Ari. And what "Unplugged" means is; no devices. Just friends having fun with activities and spending time with each other.
Quinn was recently dumped by a man she'd been seeing for a couple of months. First he was sweet and attentive, then he completely turned on her. Due to this and her past history with dating, she's sworn off men. That is until the surprise guest of Ari; her best friends brother. Merritt shows up and is assigned to share a room with her.
Quinn lives in Denver and Merritt lives in Texas. They are immediately drawn to each other and decide to give into their desires for that week only. Once they leave the vacation, they won't see each other again. But soon feelings start to form on both sides and neither is sure that letting the other go is the best idea. Can they make a long distance relationship work? Can Quinn get over her history and insecurities with men to let Merritt prove he's different than the men she's been with before?
Things are progressing, then BAM... misunderstandings, secrets, lies and backstabbing along with what they are already dealing with cause problems for this new couple. Will they be able to wade through the deceit and find the truth in what they could be or are to each other?
This started out really cute and funny with some crazy, sexy times. But at around 85% everything changes and it turned dramatic and little twisted on a couple characters part. I was shocked, which was good, because I didn't see it coming. But I also was a little concerned, because all of a sudden everything started happening really quickly. secrets were revealed that felt like they came out of left field. Almost like the story need to be wrapped up (hit a couple of beats) before it needed to end. At one point I thought maybe it was going to end in a cliffhanger, but it didn't; as I said, it was wrapped up at warp speed.
Not that I wanted it to be another book, but I did feel like I missed a connection to the story by it moving so quickly and revealing so much so quickly at the end. Which is why I only gave it 3.5 stars.
I really enjoyed the first 85% of it. But don't let my opinion sway you, maybe I just wasn't in the mood for a rush job at the end. Maybe others will think the big reveals at the end are perfect. It won't stop me from reading the author again, because for the most part I did like it.

Well damn...that was unexpected. I love when you read a book and think you know where things are going and then you realize that you know nothing. Here both characters have some issues they need to figure out and you assume that you have a handle on their stories, until you get to that point where you are left with your mouth hanging open.
Quinn is coming off a pretty rough break-up but she is ready to embrace her mini-vacation. It's that kind of vacation we all dream about, one where you are unplugged from life back home. Your only responsibility is to be just relax and be. What she doesn't expect is her new roommate. The sexy, controlling, Merritt. He has never been unplugged from his life before and it is quite amusing seeing him try. His life revolves around his job. He eats, sleeps and breathes it, all to one day take over for his father. Merritt has never been disconnected from his life but for the girl he is sharing a room with, he might just try.
This was one of those books that you are reading along, lost in the super sexy and entertaining story that is unfolding. Quinn is guarded and does not want anything more than a week. Merritt never thought of more until Quinn came along. Then he becomes the one who is having trouble walking away, which is a nice change-up. Then things take that unexpected turn, the turn that make this book not what you first thought it would be. Then I found myself engrossed in the drama and I just needed to know how things were going to turn out.
I have been a fan of this author for some time and it always amazes me that with each story she releases she still has the ability to take me off-guard.

Another 5star book! I absolutely loved this book! I loved Quinn and Merritt what a couple!! I was rooting for them from the beginning! I couldn't believe who her ex boyfriend was! This book I finished in one go because like an LK Collins book I couldn't put it down!

What an amazing read, I was certainly ‘Unplugged’ from the world as I found myself immersed in the story of Quinn and Merrett.
I have become massive fan of LK Collins and the books she writes since I had the good fortune of reading one earlier this year. So when every new book is due out I am chomping at the bit to see what she has in store for us and I am yet to be disappointed. ‘Unplugged’ is a brilliant read that deserves no less than five stars, once I had started reading this book I didn’t move until I had finished.
What is not to love about a sexy strong female lead that is confident, capable and has a great career that she has achieved through hard work. Quinn is all of those things and yet is a character that is relatable and one that you feel for. As she joins her friends for their annual holiday she finds herself having to share a room with a handsome and alluring stranger. Although Quinn’s body instantly reacts to the presence of Merrett she is determined to stave off men for the foreseeable future to give her time to mentally recover from a bad break up and to try and stop the pattern of choosing bad relationships.
The major flaw in Quinn’s plan is Merrett and he is not a man who will take no for an answer especially when it comes to them being together. Merrett manages to get underneath her skin so much that she finds herself agreeing to a week long fling with him but she makes him promise that once the week is up they go their separate ways.
Well as you can imagine best laid plans and all that as a week was never going to be enough for either of them. Not when the chemistry and passion between them is off the charts. The connection that they have in the bedroom is enough to have them both panting even at just the thought of it.
This book really allows you to get to know and feel for the characters as people. Quinn is strong and loving but has been hurt in the past and you genuinely want her to be happy and get someone she deserves. Merrett is all confident alpha male but with a big heart underneath. One of the things I loved most about Merrett was that he was never a jerk to her. I know that doesn’t seem like a big thing but for me it was a huge thing, a lot of alpha males now come off as rude and insensitive but Merrett never did and I fell for him even more because of it. Although it did really help that he knew what he wanted and went for it in and out of the bedroom.
Nothing in life ever goes smoothly and there are some major twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat worrying that things might just be too much for Quinn and Merrett to get past. This is absolutely a book that keeps you going right until the end. Another brilliant book by LK Collins and one you won’t want to miss.

Quinn Whitmore has just come from a very bad breakup, which has made her vowing no more men. She goes on retreat with her friends in the Rocky Mountains, and the rule is no work, so she has to unplug from the cyber world. She is shocked when she feels a powerful, instant attraction to Merritt, another member on the retreat, so she finally decides that she will just hook up with him for the week. Too bad she couldn't make her heart agree with her terms. Merritt has been invited to the friends get together for years, but for the first time, he actually shows up. He is struck by lightening when he lays eyes on Quinn for the first time, but he decides to try and abide by her no man rule. It quickly becomes apparent that it's not going to work, as they can't seem to stay away from each other, and they spend the week hooking up. But when the week is over, he knows that he must have more of her, but how does he convince her to give them a chance? And will he really want that chance when her secret is revealed?
So it's official, Merritt is my very favorite of leading men by far! And that's saying a lot, as I LOVE LOVE LOVE every man that flows out of this author's mind! The character development is fantastic, with a highly entertaining cast of secondaries that only make it better. Quinn is my new girl crush, as she's one hell of a woman, who doesn't cry like a baby, but picks herself up and moves on, no matter what. And HOLY HOTNESS BATMAN! Their flammable chemistry, yes spark shooting everywhere flammable, EXPLODES spectacularly, throwing HUGE FIERY FLAMES of sexy scene goodness that annihilates every thing in it's path, so say goodbye to your panties! It's no secret that I think LK Collins is simply brilliant, but seriously? She hit new levels of brilliant with all of this awesomeness wrapped up in a story! I was transported instantly into that cabin in the Rocky Mountains, so it felt like I physically watched Merritt and Quinn, up close and personal. Superbly placed humor kept me laughing throughout, and the twists & turns that swirled around, leading to that final diabolical twist that cued up the f-bomb parade all around my house, long after I finished. So, in conclusion, I'm just going end with this, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Unplugged!

My first LK read and I fell in LOVE with Merritt !!! The story of the just meant to be #vacationhookup was a good one . Read this now to see if they have what it takes to try a "relationship " after the vacation ends .

Hook, line, and sinker. That's how I feel after reading LK Collins new book 'Unplugged'. Once I started this book I did not want to put it down because she captured me from the first chapter. The characters, story line, and HOTNESS really made this book amazing!
Quinn is a strong character to me, even though she's fresh off of a breakup. Yes she had issues making up her mind because she's cautious of being hurt again, but she is determined to not be put in that situation. A week away with a group of her closest friends should help, until she is stuck being roommates with Merritt, the sexy guy that knows nobody and is a last minute addition to the group.
Merritt just wants to actually be able to get away from work and relax, so he takes up his best friend Ari's invite and goes away for a week with him and a group of friends. Walking into his room for the week, he doesn't expect to see a half naked girl that he's instantly attracted to. He doesn't have time for dating or women with his work, but a one week deal that him and Quinn make with each other makes for one steamy week in the snowy mountains!
Plan on fanning yourself while reading this book because holy hotness will it leave you panting. A one week plan turns into a sexy read, and once the week is up it only gets better. Both of them having to decide with what it's going to be will leave your head bouncing back and forth waiting for a decision, but LK will not disappoint. Aside from hot sex, there is a twist that I definitely did not see coming and holy heck does it make your jaw drop! I loved every second of it too!

Another 5 star read from LK Collins!! Quinn and Merritt are just perfect together, but be ready for a couple of plot twists that having you shouting at your Kindle from your armchair!!

Ari her friend always arranges this, but this year his friend Merritt has come along and ends up sharing a room with Quinn.
Quinn is a sexy and strong character, but having just broke up with someone and still a little upset, is not ready for another relationship with a man. Merritt though looks lush and hot, and there is in instant attraction between them, one that cannot be ignored.
Merritt is another workaholic, no time for relationships, but his body is not listening to his head as far as Quinn is concerned - he has just got to have her!! Deliciously dominant, with a wicked mouth and some sexy moves, Merritt is just fabulous!!! Cocky but not too much, caring and genuine he is a gentleman at heart and a devil between the sheets!!
After 7 days together can they just walk away?? Long distance relationships are never good!! But deceit, lies and betrayal threatens their life together.

Ari (the brother of her best friend Willow) sets up the trip in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado so they can catch up with each other, and unplug from their normal lives. Quinn has gone through a recent break up, so she has pretty much sworn off men and wants to just relax and have fun with her friends. She is just settling in when Ari brings someone else in to share the room with her, without her knowlege.
Merritt is a friend of Ari's, and even though he has been invited for several years, he has never shown up, until this year - now they have to share a room together. Although he is drawn to Quinn and would love to see where things could go, he decides to abide by her no-men stance. I started this book late at night and stayed up for a while just reading it. I sadly ended up falling asleep about halfway through, but finished it as soon as I woke up. It’s definitely another one I didn’t want to put down.

OMG I loved this book!
Merritt and Quinn are so stinking adorable.
Merritt is a man that has sold his soul to the devil himself. He have up his dream to work for his father. He strives to prove himself over and over again.
Quinn is a very independent woman who just got out of a horrible relationship. Her ex is a complete douchbag times twenty.
Then one weekend unplugged turned both of their lives upside down.
I was glued to this book. This is a very hot steamy read. It is such an easy read.
Omg I couldn't believe Charles and Ari could do such a despicable thing like that. Who are they you ask?.... Well go and read this book and find put!
Lk Collins you did a fabulous job with this story. I am in love with Merritt and Quinn. They are my new favorite couple. Oh and now I want to go to Colorado and unplug.
P.s. I loved the ending..I could read about these two all day long.

I have read several books by LK Collins and this one is my favorite. What happens when 2 workaholics take an unplugged vacation with friends? Pure magic! Quinn is trying to recover form a bad break up and Merritt has no time for love in his life. Forced to share a room they decide to make the best of their trip by agreeing to no stings sex for the week. Will they be able to part ways at the end of the week or will their attraction become something more?
Unplugged is full of fun and sweet moments and very hot sex scenes. It will also leave you totally shocked. I totally loved it <3

Everything is not plane sailing for this couple tho and there's a huge twist I didn't see coming that left me gawking at my kindle and re-reading what I'd read to make sure I'd read it correctly.

You think you know where this book is going then bam it smacks you in the face and your left with tears because your heartbroken and can relate way to much to everything that's going on in this book.

One of my Favorites of 2016!
I'm literally in LOVE with Merritt! This books has it all! I literally could not put it down! Quinn and Merritt are great! They made me fall in love with them as a couple! Merritt is swoon worthy. He is the type of me we all want! And I want him!

A wonderful story. Merritt takes a break skiing with his friend and meets Quinn - a woman who changes his world - and a woman he can't forget, but she has a secret that could ruin them both.
They made a great couple together. What a surprise twist though, I never saw it coming.

What more can I say other than I loved it. Once again LK delivers an awesomely hot and steamy read. I loved Quinn and Merritt. Take 2 people needing space and make them roomies. Add in a deal of hot sex and see what happens. We're talking fog up the windows steamy here. Then the twist!! Say what?!?! A must read for sure!

Love Conquers All
I usually read grittier material but was wanting to take a break from that. The cover grabbed my attention and I dove in. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the light hearted banter in the beginning, really felt for Merritt and Quinn in the middle, and was shocked by the end. Talk about betrayal!!! OMG! I really really enjoyed this book!
