Vypouští z temnoty odporné nestvůry a snaží se najít ztraceného jednorožce, aby zničil dobro jednou provždy a osvobodil z hlubin temnot nejmocnějšího démona všech věků a světů. Do Lilandgarie se proto vracejí elfové, aby pomohli zachránit dobro a opět nastolit rovnováhu světa.
3,5/5 This book is for teens and the author was 16 when she wrote it. But I did enjoy it too even as an adult. The characters are very likeble. The ending fight with the villain si not good enough and thre is seen a lot of inspiration from other fantasy books. I think it is a perfect book for children 12-14 year old to read a story about elves, poeple and fighting against the evil. There was a lot of repetative sentences and ideas which were not really necessary. And therefore I was a bit annoyed sometimes.
Zajímavý příběh. Spojení elfů a lidí je super. Knížka se mi moc líbila, přečetla jsem ji celou - všechny 3 díly. Jsou tam bájní tvorové, elfové a láska. 😍 Nejradši mám Snížka.
The Message of the Unicorns is a beautiful return to childhood imagination – filled with magic, mystery, and hope. The book has a fairy-tale atmosphere, yet it isn’t afraid to touch on deeper themes like inner strength, courage, and the choice between good and evil.
The main character, Elis, is very likeable, and her journey is both exciting and touching. I especially enjoyed Tarin – his character development and his relationship with Elis were written with care and natural emotion, and their bond truly drew me in. Among the side characters, the siblings Leyla and Derin stood out the most – they brought depth, emotion, and moments of tension to the story.
The world the reader is pulled into feels magical yet familiar – as if it combines old dreams with important truths. The story carries a powerful message about believing in good, holding on to hope, and having the strength to choose your own path. That’s what makes this more than just a fairy tale – it’s a story that warms your heart while making you reflect.
This book is originally Czech, written by Michaela Burdová – and it absolutely deserves more international attention. If there are translations available in your language, I highly recommend giving it a chance!
I truly loved this book. It’s a tender, exciting, and heartfelt story that left me with a sense of wonder. I recommend it to anyone who’s looking for an adventure for the heart and soul – and who wants to get lost in a world where even in the darkest places, light can shine through.
