Into the Wild is the first novel in the Tigers series by D.V. Williams. For Rebecca Taylor, music is her life, and with the help of her record producer stepfather she is determined to make it her future. By the age of seventeen, the talented young singer and songwriter is preparing to leave school behind and pursue her music career. But it’s a jungle out there in the cutthroat world of the music industry, and Rebecca is hardly the most outgoing of teenagers. And then there’s love, or the other thing . . . sex. What’s a girl to do when her body, her curiosity, and her emotions are taking over, especially when there’s one man already on her mind? Encouraged by her best friend, the enigmatic and unconventional Linda, Rebecca enters into an adventurous relationship, a sensual journey of discovery that will change her forever. But if her stepfather ever found out . . .
Hot Hot Hot!! I was given a copy of this for review and it is the perfect summer read for those who like a real storyline along with a large portion of erotica (pun intended!). The story follows shy songstress Rebecca Taylor as she pursues her music career, helped by her stepfather who is a music producer. Writing her own songs is a source of frustration: how can she write about a passion she's never felt? Her curiosity about sex and love peak when a deliciously taboo man leads her on an erotic journey Into The Wild...
If you love erotica but also like it to have a storyline that will keep you reading, then this is definitely a book you want to check out. This is the emotional, physical and erotic journey of a sweet 17yr old that wants to experience everything life has to offer. Match that with her best friend who has grown up with a very liberal view of sex due to her "swinger" Parents and you know your gonna be entertained. The conversations between these two friends were believable and made the characters feel real. typical girls. This is more than just erotic, its a beautiful journey of maturing sexually and inwardly from girl to woman. It's a hot steamy book, with a good back story which made all the difference for me, as i can sometimes find Erotica a little repetitive and shallow on the character development. I really liked Rebecca, she was a girl with dreams and ambitions, and a determination to succeed in a career that for her is so much more. Music and writing is her life, and as we follow this journey we also follow her sexual awakening, with a man ten years her elder, but who also cares for her. Even though she knows this can't last forever because her beckoning career might end it, she isn't afraid to love. I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter in Rebecca's life !!
I liked this book and will definitely be continuing with Rebecca into her next book of sexual adventures and follow her in her quest to fulfil her dreams. Into the Wild was very well written especially when you are writing from the perspective of a 17 year old that is looking to experience her sexual awakening to the fullest. Its a very erotic journey with a man 10 years her senior, and as you can imagine has plenty of emotions. Now yes this book holds many, many sexual scenes but it still holds a story, for me personally I have always struggled with Erotica books because they rarely hold a strong storyline or well built characters. This though wasn't the case, it was great reading about Rebecca start to blossom into a woman. Obviously the book isn't solely about her sexual awakening but also follows her love of music and writing.
Overall it was a pleasure to read this book, it contained mixed emotions, an ending that makes your heart hurt but makes you want to read on, and large amount of erotica with a sinfully sexy man... Sounds amazing right?
I actually bought this after meeting the author at a signing in Manchester we were both featured in and had our tables next to each other. Well, when you spend all day listening to the guy make his pitch you can't help but be interested.
This is a fun read and in a genre dominated by rich guys with ego problems and women with damaged pasts, very original. The characters are believable, the story great!
Great debut book from DV Williams. I really enjoyed this book, easy to read, free flowing and great story line. Loved Rebecca’s growth throughout the story. So looking forward to book 2.
I am not going to give away any of the plot line, you will have to read the book yourself - “Though she be but little, she is fierce!”. An eloquently written, exciting page turner, which is a pleasurable, self-indulgent read for daytime, bedtime or bathtime.
I loved this book right for the start. I love Rockstar romances and this one was no different, I liked getting to know Rebecca and watching her grow into a confident young woman who was not afraid to explore her sexuality and experiment with things.
I have no doubt that Rebecca is going to go far and I look forward to finding out what happens next in her life and how much more she has grown.
I hadn't heard of D.V. Williams before and found him recently on the Facebook Books on the Beach group. I can honestly say I am really glad I've found his books and will continue to follow along with Rebeccas adventures with her.
It was ok. Nice to have a bit of a plot with the smut for a change, though the book is too short for much of it to develop. The smut scenes were varied and not just the usual shagging. I'm just not sure about the author's decision to have a nearly-seventeen yr old having sex with someone 10 yrs her senior - makes the first half of the book more cringe than erotica. Looking forward to the next one though - hopefully we'll get more of Linda in thst one too.
A STORY THAT FOLLOWS A YOUNG GIRL BECOMING AN ADULT. REBECCA KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE WANTS IN LIFE AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET IT. A STRONG MINDED FEMALE COMING INTO HER SELF. I REALLY ENJOYED HOW WE WATCH REBECCA AS A PERSON GROWS AND AS A YOUNG INTELLIGENT WOMAN CANT WAIT TO SEE WHERE WE ARE TAKEN IN BOOK 2.
Well, the cover sets the tone and D V Williams keeps up the pace and the real-life account of Rebecca's emotional and physical development from beginning to end. A great read from a talented author, with another book out and more to follow!
