A short novella alpha shifter book that has a cliffhanger. It's in need of a good editor but otherwise a good book.

This wasn't a book I could get into at all. I read the whole short story hoping it would get better and thanks to the character development and interaction between Stan (Lorena's brother), Lorena (heroine), and Becky (a grocery store employee) I was glad I continued reading. They were strong and well-developed characters that had some funny interactions between them.
My problems lie with Nick, who I can only assume is the hero and 'wolf' of the story. He reminded me of a weak (and I mean very weak) Vampire. The character wasn't developed. The conversation between him and the other characters felt stilted and unfinished. I think the author was going for mystery but it fell short. I can't wrap my head around him being the Wolf Shifter.
Lastly, I took exception to the interactions between Lorena and Nick that revolved around Lorena's BBW status. Lorena seemed comfortable with her size, which is fabulous, however, the interactions with Nick were disappointing. Lorena made numerous comments throughout the story about her larger body and Nick's replies were to refer to her as 'meaty'. Huh? Once when replying to Lorena's question, "And fat?" Nick replied, "What would a tasty treat be without a little fat to sweeten the deal?"
This just wasn't for me and I'm not sure I want to read more of this series.

The only reason I read this is because i was so bored. And i am so regretful that it happened. I have no idea why people try to write Night World fantasies when they have no idea what it is. And for a die hard YA vampire /werewolf /witch fan this is a disgrace.

Should be good

Another good sounding book. With a need to have the rest of the set to be able to sit back with them all and enjoy the whole book at once. Story seems good and has me wishing for the rest to see what's next.

Nice book

I liked reading it. Wished it was longer. Though it draws you in to find out what will happen next.
