Leslie works at the college library while going to school. She’s a believer of love and HEA and spends her time daydreaming of one of the school studs or any stud wooing her senseless. One day a strange book is dropped in the library return slot and it affects her in a dark sensual way, but seems not to affect anyone else. Leslie can’t help how it makes her feel and she starts behaving strangely. What is this book and what is she going to do about it?
This is the world’s most boring monster porn ever. There is one very short scene at the end that has lovely naughty tentacles, but it’s not enough to raise this one up to greater heights. Skip it.
1 - The red swiggles aren't there for design. Prepare yourself for that. 2 - For a book with four chapters, there are only two/three pages of actual erotica. 3 - The author rewrites the same "details" two pages after the prior details were given. 4 - So much extra crap that's not needed. No one cares about the back ground. 5 - The main character is a bitch. 6 - THE SV ISN'T EVEN THE "FUCKING" BOOK...lol, see what I did there? ;)....UNNECESSARY TRIGGER FOR SOMETHING THAT'S MEANT TO BE SEXY!
Sorry this little novel took me by surprise and not in a good way. Tentacles are just plain old creepy to me. Everything else was okay. Some of the dialogue was ridiculous. I bet it would of better if they added more to the character/story instead of making it such a short novel and if they didnt have tentacles. That part is personal.
It was well written, although a bit strange. However, this was not a complete story. Yup, a cliff hanger. A cliff hanger no matter how well written it may be will never get five stars from me. For the love of reading books, please inform the reader it has a cliff hanger, otherwise, to me, it’s just rude.
This is essentially soft core monster porn...and I'm not mad 😂 It's not the worlds best story telling and the MC is a bit dull but it's entertaining enough to have me intrigued for the next installment.
Not at all what I expected, but I quite enjoyed the unique story! Well written with no errors (which used to be the norm, but in today's world is rare). Recommended for readers looking for a short, original story. 18+ y/o only.
What more is there to say, a short read with some mystery and steam. Most important of all, tentacles, I will be reading the rest of this series. Mac Flynn has a way of packing a lot in a small package!
A tentacle story that takes place in a library . . . well, that’s unusual. (If you don’t want unusual, you probably ought to skip the monster erotica genre.) Leslie is a mousy student working in the college library. I found it refreshing that the heroine is a regular girl with some self-esteem issues, unlike the porn trope of every female character being young, hot, and athletic, with perfect breasts. For those who want the hot girl, Flynn gives you one in the beginning, when Leslie watches the hot boy she has a crush on making out in the library with his girl du jour.
But more interesting things are in store for Leslie. There are predatory bullies to contend with, an annoying co-worker, and a stern but kind boss. All Leslie wants to do is look at that strange book that mysteriously appeared in the book return. And she’s not really a risk-taker, but that book might inspire some changes in her, as well as some help for the self-esteem.
Possibly a bit long on set-up, and I didn’t really get why the back of the library seems as big as the stacks, and is laid out like a labyrinth, but neither of those was a big deal.
It’s a really sweet story, with a feel-good ending, and delicious erotica along the way.
A creepy old book only "revealing" itself to the main character Leslie and making her feel all bothered? Count me interested. I different concept than what I expected but I must admit I greatly enjoyed it. The description of Leslie and her feelings/urges made me feel as if I was her. I could understand her frustrations and the rush of feelings she experienced when she first touched the book. Sneaking into the library just to get to the book and feel what she so longed for was expected but Ms. Hamish walking in I did not expect. A few typos and grammatical errors here and there but those are expected. Only four stars because of those errors and the fact that tentacle-like glowing tendrils grabbing me and pinning me down just seems strange for my personal taste. But overall a fairly well written short and I would recommend it for a quick read for those who enjoy Paranormal erotica.
was literally about tentacle porn ewy. women need men not weird figures or random animals doing us i mean come on now, but i do have to say i love his other books no doubt :)
So I got this book for free off Amazon and It's decent if your into that kind of thing...but I guess I'm just not. It was way to short and I don't really feel like paying for the other books.
