I got this book thinking it was a war story with action in it as a soldier was on the cover.
Caleb Armstrong is a veteran of the Afghanistan war working in the E.R. of a hospital, he has a simple easy bachelor life until he meets Charity and he soon realises how special she is. Then he starts hearing the voices and in particular a certain voice from the war he was in. That's the voice of Rick-his best friend who was killed in Afghanistan. To find out what the voices want with him he has to admit to his past demons and face it all head on.

I give it three stars as I kept losing the storyline and I felt it was difficult to read. I love a book that I struggle putting down, but I have to admit I struggled picking this one up, I just couldn't get where the story was heading. Very hard to see what's happening in it. It is a story I would not read again but you will have your own view.

Voices of the Passed was an interesting story. There were twists and turns that kept me engaged but never crossed over to a fast pace that makes you read a whole book in one sitting. I enjoyed the different points of view, especially the canine variety. Though Caleb was the main character, my favorite was Charity; she was full of life and eccentricity. The action sequences were well done. Seago put you right into the middle of it. I’m not totally sold on the final twist but, as Seago said, “love is blind.” I would enjoy more of Seago’s stories and look forward to the companion, Tears of the Innocent.
