5 Star Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I really, really love this book. I love the relationship between the characters as well as how the whole story progresses. I've had the pleasure of reading a few books by Jamie Salisbury and I'm so honored I had the chance to read this one.

Meg is home, learning how to be herself again. Learning how to make her business run and learning how to co-habitat with Basil. Basil has decided love isn't for him, especially after Meg broke his heart all those years ago. But know that they are both back in the same place and single, are they willing to try again?

I'm not giving away anymore of this amazing story, but I guarantee you will love it. It was a super quick read for me, because it sucked me in and didn't let go. I loved the interaction between Meg and Basil. Meg fights so hard to keep things status quo, especially just out of a bad relationship. Enough of that though. Please check out this awesome book. You will not be disappointed.

This was a good story but I wanted it to go more in-depth. It almost glossed over thoughts and feelings and I just didn't get dragged in to the story.

Meg has moved back home after breaking up with her fiance. Moved back home to stay with her sister and brothers and regroup. Her childhood ex-boyfriend, Basil, is a contractor and volunteers to help Meg's store get off the ground.

Basil and Meg almost fall immediately back into a relationship. They're adults now and they've lived some and know what they want.

I really loved Crash - but I'm a dog lover.

P.S. I Love You by Jamie Salisbury
“Rekindled love, 3 stars”

Meg just got out of a bad long-term relationship. She goes home to figure everything out and have some of her siblings nearby. Meg doesn’t expect to see Basil, her once best friend and boyfriend. She doesn’t expect for the feelings that were once there to resurface stronger than ever. Is she ready for a relationship? Sometimes life surprises us.
Basil has always loved Meg, she’s the one who got away. Well, that’s until she shows back up in town. He won’t make the same mistake twice, this time he’s playing for keeps. He is sure its Meg he wants but some around him question him. Once he gets the girl can he keep her?
P.S. I Love You was hard for me. I liked the general plot of the story but I felt like there were too many holes or unresolved things happening in the story. You have pieces of Basil and Meg’s relationships with the people around them but some things are left unclear. They are supposed to be figuring out the history of Basil’s house, yet nothing is ever discovered. It was like they just stopped at one point without any real reason. Then the last thing is how fast they moved. I get that they knew each other before and what not, but she just got out of a bad relationship that she’s till struggling with. It was just hard on the believable factor.

Meg Cooper is a woman who is good at hiding things. In the beginning we saw her as a caring sister to Audrey but inside she is a woman who is scared. Basil is everything opposite of Jake, who she thought was the one, which in a way excites and scares her. The feelings she has for him has always been about friendship but somewhere along the way she is seeing Basil in a new way. The love they have is unlike what she ever felt with Jake because of this she is cautious. Impulsiveness, desire and love is what Basil gives her. Basil have to say is one patient man and boy has he been waiting for his Meg to come to him. The love he has for her is one of those that you see in the movies where the guy waits for his true love. Normally it's the woman waiting but Jamie Salisbury created such an honest, loving and sexy man for Meg he completes her in every way. All in all it was a good book and love coming to Brighten Cove something about this little town comes to life wraps you with love, romance and a second chance at something a whole lot sweeter.

I did enjoy this book. I like the characters. Meg moves back home to her small town after getting out of a 6 year bad relationship. Meg tries to adjust to being single and getting over the past couple of years. She runs into her old boyfriend from when she younger.
Basil all grown up now, knows he wants Meg and will do anything to prove to her he is the man for her.
Now throughout the book Meg and Basil meet up and hang out. Feelings start back up and it seems like they rush things. But that's okay honestly. Basil is renovating a mansion and he ask Meg's thoughts on it. From trying to find out who owned the house before the last owner and getting reconnected with her sister and running the shop things get busy. Plus Meg's ex shows up a few times. Now how it ends it does leave you hanging. So you are thinking okay everything can't be to good to be true where is the jerk ex? And what is Meg's brother Jagger really hiding? So please hurry with the next book. I want to know will happen next...

I really wanted to love this book and I really tried. Don't get me wrong, it was a good book, but I was a bit lacking in some parts.

I didn't read the first book in the series, but the author gave enough of the backstory for me not to feel like I don't understand what's going on.

This is a second chance romance and I liked Meg and Basil. Meg is just out of an abusive relationship and I liked Basil's persistence. However I did feel that the relationship developed very quickly given Meg's past.

I also felt that some plots in the book were abandoned Alf way through. I would have wanted to find out the history benind Basil's house, but we never find out.

The writing was good and it was in a dual point of view which I always like as it gives me an insight into both characters.

Overall it was a good read and I do recommend the book.

This was a great story about Meg & Basil, who met when they were younger, but went their separate ways as they grew up.
Meg moved back to her town after her long relationship turned abusive. She's throwing herself into here work, no more men for a while, till she see's Basil, wow all grown up!
Basil is working on designing and building new homes and he see's Meg, back in town still as beautiful as ever.
Can Meg get past her hurt from her last boyfriend and welcome Basil back into her life? Can Basil break down her walls and get back into her heart?

I received an advanced reader's copy of this book from the author.

The continuation of the Brighton Cove series was definitely not a disappointment! I enjoyed the book from the first page to the last. Meg and Basil are a sweet couple. They are so perfect together. But sweet doesn't mean there isn't heat! There's enough of that to keep the passion burning throughout the book. I loved the setting, the house, the interaction with family, and the obvious love and respect between Meg and Basil. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to see a relationship that works!

Review based on advanced reader copy.

I am loving the Brighton Cove series. Meg and Basil in this story have great chemistry. Childhood best friends have found each other again and sparks start to fly with hot sex scenes and snarky interactions it's a great read. Mix in one interfering mother and you have plenty of tension as well. Looking forward to some things to be wrapped up in the conclusion to their story in book 3! Can't wait!
