A new TV show is filming on the beach in Garber and Dune House is full to the brim with crew members and celebrities. Suzie and Mary are run off their feet trying to keep up with the demanding guests. But that turns out to be the least of their concerns when someone is found murdered.
Chaos erupts as Mary is the prime suspect and Dune House is out-of-bounds because it is a crime scene. Suzie and Mary join forces with Paul to try and weed through the web of suspects to find the killer. They are in a race against the clock to clear Mary’s name and get back to business as usual at Dune House.
Will the murderer be found before Mary lands up behind bars and the reputation of Dune House lands up in tatters?
Started out interesting, but as I continued to read, the storyline became very predictable. Things the non professionals were finding that the professionals missed was a little weird and unbelievable. The ending, for me, was very predictable and I guessed exactly what was going to happen to the two main characters! Sorry, was just not an exciting mystery for me.
15 stars! Mary gets caught up in a nasty mess as the Dune House is hosting a filming crew that is shooting a pilot show down on their beaches. Suzie, Paul, and Wes have to put their heads together to help Mary out. Jason, Mary's nephew and Kurt his partner have a very sticky situation to investigate the mess. There is a scandalous couple and other selfish, rude actors around. Also the director. Wow, what a tangled web of people who are suspects!!!!!!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!
This was a very good mystery. The plot, characters, and suspense was well done. I have read the entire series for the first 10 books and enjoyed them a lot. Bell does a great job of developing the primary characters in the books and bringing shape to them throughout the stories. I look very forward to reading more of her work.
This one was much improved from the others. I really liked the myriad of suspects and the twist with the victim's past. I also like the new dynamic between Suzie and Jason. They're almost starting to act like siblings. (Yes I know they're cousins but 1st cousins can sometimes be as close as siblings) I'm glad they're finding that closeness in each other.
And Action! Wow, Prima Donna's and entitled egotistic actors and crew. Filming on the beach and staying at Dune House keeping both Mary and Susie busy, poor Mary is struggling with the demands from one. Loads of suspects in this one, twisted and convoluted investigation, clues are there but it takes a whole team to solve this one. Interesting and lots going on, thoroughly enjoyable read.
Suzie and Mary must fight to keep the Dune House open. This story is well written and the plot full of mystery. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to any who wants a good read.
Wow, wow, wow! Great reading. I loved all the excitement within this story. However, I can't give a great review cause most of it hinges on the ending!! 😅
Who killed Cynthia and why or why not??? Mary and Susie will figure things out, or should I say trip into things, won't they??? enjoyed this story, won't eat another brownie and recommended the book.
This is a really good book as is this whole series. I can't imagine what I would have done in Mary's position but both Suzie and Mary are great heroines.
Another definite 5 star read for me, as we go on another journey with Suzie and Mary to uncover the truth about the recent murder. Only this time Mary is believed to be the suspect, but would Mary do this? If so, why? Suzie and Mary continue to work together to solve the murder to try and eliminate Mary as the suspect while working out who the REAL killer is. But are they able to figure out who actually committed this crime before Mary ends up in prison? You must read the book to find out the answers to these questions, it builds up the suspense as you imagine yourself in the book with the characters and are able to experience what they are feeling! The author has written this book well, which is what allows the reader to picture themselves in the book with the characters and be on the journey with them, working out what steps to take next and how to tell Jason without angering him for getting involved in the investigations again.
I love these books they are really well written and enjoyable to read the characters are really well and I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries
