Yaya and Asim: Rescued by a Savage

Rate this book
After being through so much, Yaya began to quickly self destruct, doing things that were never in her character. The saying is true that not everyone handles trauma the same. Now she must pay the price for her actions and can only hope that Asim will one day forgive her for her deceit.

After finding out the real identity of his sister, Yasmin, Asim’s relationship with her can never be the same. All he wants is to put an end to what his parents started, but is it all really worth the love between two siblings? Is Asim ready to go to war with his sister, or will his love for her leave him with a change of heart?

Yasmin is definitely her mother’s child, and nothing can stand in the way of her lifestyle, not even her only brother Asim. But is Yasmin ready for the path she chose or will she end up tapping out for good?

Jessica is on a mission to make sure that she has a healthy baby, and she'll do anything in her power to get out of the situation she found herself in once again. But getting out safely is easier said than done.

Yaya and Asim are back in this hot new spin-off, and some will make it out of the drama alive and unfortunately some may not.

Join these characters on their drama filled ride and find out if every love story deserves a happy ending.

**Warning: this text may contain spoilers** I really believed that the baby Yaya was carrying was Asim's. I'm also so happy that Yaya finally got it together, because for a while, she had lost herself. The old fiesty Yaya that Asim first fell in love with was back, and it was about time. Asim wasn't playing when he told Yasmin that he was going to stop her operation. He not only did that, but he showed that he was completely different from Shadi, Satin, and Yasmin. Yasmin thought she was smart, but Asim was always several steps ahead, and it was comical that everytime she thought she had it in the bag, it was short-lived.

Jessica was a bad apple, and had she not been pregnant, she wouldn't have had her life. I didn't ever understand why she couldn't let it go, when it came to her brother's death. Yaya and Asim helped her, and literally saved her life, and she was the most ungrateful biotch in the world. I mean, it wasn't as if her brother didn't deserve what he recieved. Once she became a mother, she should have focused on being a mother, and be happy she still had her life, but that was wishful thinking.

Yasmin was much like her parents, Shadi and Satin, a piece of crap, and I can't believe that she actually thought it was cool to follow in her parents footsteps. I mean she didn't have any sympathy for these girls, and it was sad to read about. You would have thought that all the pain that her parents placed upon others, that she would've been too disgusted to even think that it's ok to mistreat human beings. When she was placed and held in that room with the dirty mattress, she wanted empathy, but that was her karma, and I didn't feel anything for her. Everything bad that happened to Yasmin, she had it coming, and she deserved it.

Wali and Fallon were made for each other, and from the moment Wali laid eyes on Fallon, he was intrigued by her. He seen her pure heart, and he knew that she was a diamond in the rough. After everything that Fallon endured, it didn't break her, but it made her appreciated the things before and after the drama she endured. Fallon and Wali were the only ones that were constant throughout the entire series. Fallon was the calm to Wali's storm, and she deserved everything beautiful that came her way, because she was beautiful inside and out.

I really enjoyed this series, because sex/ human trafficking is real, and it's not talked about enough. I couldn't imagine have my underage daughter going though what these young girls went through. The series wasn't for typical love story, but I absolutely loved the ending.

What a perfect ending to such a tragic story.Yaya and Asim as well as Fallon and Wali, all good people who were dealt unfair hands in life but were able to overcome every obstacle that came their way.Sad that so many people crossed them but one person that remained loyal was Connect.I feel no sympathy for Jessica because she constantly chose to bite the hands that fed her.Loved this series from beginning to end!

Great Read

Another great read by Saja and it doesn't disappoint. Very well written spinoff to Fallin and Wali. Although they've all been through so much drama, they find the strength to band together and form a bond that no one can break. I was happy that Jessica, Yasmine and Officer Harris got what they deserved. Definitely worth reading
