Jennifer Cook was a young mother with a new infant when she disappeared from her home. She started haunting Maddie Graves’ dreams before her body was even found. Despite that, Maddie is determined to find the woman’s child and return him to the life he was ripped from before she allows herself to rest. The only problem is that she has no idea who took him. Nick Winters is worried about his fiancée. Maddie is manic when it comes to searching for the missing infant and he has his hands full with too many theories and not enough evidence. If a stranger took the baby, it’s most likely a desperate woman who wants to be a mother. If it’s someone else, the couple could already be too late. Nick and Maddie are going to have to work together to piece together a story filled with twists, turns and more betrayal than should be possible. From a grieving father who may be a terrible husband to a despondent mother who might’ve lost her own child, the possibilities are endless. When the truth is finally revealed, Maddie finds herself in another mess. She’s desperate for the truth, but she’s not sure she can live with it when everything comes to light. Death is coming to Blackstone Bay. It’s anyone’s guess who will be left standing when the smoke clears.

Entertaining Paranormal cozy mystery series

This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A phone case of characters and an entertaining storyline. Mary Grace is a young woman who owns a Magic shop in her small Michigan town. She also has the ability to see and speak to ghosts as well as has psychic visions and flashes. Read on and see what adventure Maddie her boyfriend Nick a police detective and the rest of her friends and family get into when another ghost pops up in town. Enjoy the adventure and have fun.

I pretty much love all of Lily Harper Hart's books. I think this is the 4th series I've read of hers, and they are all fabulous fun. The characters are just outstanding - well developed with real personalities and both strengths and flaws.

Maddie is a sweet person. She's sensitive to what others think of her and her friends, and just wants to live her life in peace and happiness with Nick, her best friend since they were 5. Nick is a police officer, and has loved Maddie his whole life. They reconciled when she returned to town, and are now engaged.

A mother and her infant child are missing. Maddie's met the mom's ghost, so she tracks down the body, but the infant is still missing. Maddie is freaking out about finding the child. Who killed mom and took the child? Or is the child still in the woods?

An engaging mystery.

Some real drama in this latest Maddie Graves book. A married woman has been murdered and her month old baby boy is missing. Maddie and Nick are trying not only to solve the murder but find the baby. Turns out there are a few suspects all of whom are equally immoral, starting with the deadbeat husband. For some reason I caught on to the killers identity pretty early in the book but it's still a good read. Not five stars as Maddy and Nick can be a bit too sweet with each other at times for me and also normally in books about missing children there is a sense of urgency, no stone left unturned, which you just do not get with this book. So no high drama but it is an easy read.

Another first-class effort!

I am always going to love Nick and Maddie! Their utter sweetness balances the darker aspects this series seems to delve into. "Grave Paths" (a truly portentious title) is as well-imagined and emotional as usual and, as in life, none of the entangled are completely blameless or completely guilty. I'm not sure what to feel about George's role once again in the climax, but if Olivia is going to continue her thirty second cameos out of pique...Mom needs to get over herself. Maddie is blessed in both family and friends; as grimy as this mystery was, I look forward to my return to Blackstone Bay.

Improved

Some of the interaction between Maddie and her fiance are blessedly toned down in this book. I say blessedly since in some of the earlier books at least two thirds consisted of romantic wordplay between the two, leaving little room for a strong story. That is not a problem in book 11. There is a strong mystery, a little tension and character development, and still has room for lots of romance between the two. Ms. Hart has achieved a fine balance and I for one really enjoyed this book.

Love can make you crazy

Really enjoyed this quick read. Nick and Maddie are the cutest, sweetest couple. I love there is no drama between these two. I like that she is giving her dad a chance.
Love makes people do crazy things , it can even make them crazy ! Is it odd that I didn't like any of the characters in this book, except for the main characters?
The book is well written, though I saw a couple editing errors. I never dock for that though. I love this author and this series.

I adored this book! I like Maddie and Nick even more with each passing story, and their relationship keeps getting better and better. The mystery was fantastic--lots of suspects and new twists! I actually did guess the killer's identity fairly early, but it was a total guess and I never imagined it would have played out the way it did! I do wish there had been a little more danger towards the end, but that's me being greedy! Can't wait for more!!

This one wasn't that good. It took me over 6 months to read it, only because I love the rest of her books and the rest in this series, i had to force myself to finish it. Very slow in the first 2/3 of the book. The encounters with George while interesting, didnt do it for me. It didn't suck me in till the last quarter of the book. Kinda boring. Nothing like the others. Sorry, I tried to like it.

A Definite Path to Follow!

The author states it the best - she is a true romantic & loves happy endings. She also loves to use snarkiness & sarcasm. As far as I am concerned those are qualities I look for & appreciate in the books I read. Put those things together with a good murder mystery & a touch of the paranormal & I have found my perfect book!

Maddie & Nick make me happy. I was worries throughout a lot of the book that Maddie would end up chased through the forest as in previous books based on her dream, but actually the calmer revelations suprised me and I enjoyed them. More Chrissy and John too please? George has been a great addition though.

I do love Maddie Graves

I love reading about Maddie and Nick. This book was more about Maddie and Nick and had very little about the other characters... Like Christy and John,or Maude and Olivia. I enjoy reading about them. Can't wait to read about the wedding.

Great read!

As always, this book is a masterpiece of true love and intriguing mystery. The characters in Hart's series are captivating and quirky in the best ways. I've yet to read a less than stellar book by her, and recommend them all.

Missing-one new mother and her son.

Maddie finds a new ghost and lands right into the middle of a murder and missing baby. The suspects are numerous and none of them are good people. With her usual twists and turns the author keeps us on our toes till the very end.

Nick and Maddie seem to be getting more mature in their personal relationship but still have a ways to go. A woman has been murdered and her infant is missing. Maddie and Nick are on the case. Great story line and the new characters are ones you love to hate.

Emotionally Heavy

This book in the series is a sad, tense one that affects the heart of any reader who has ever had a baby or just ever loved one. Harper really knows how to touch our emotions!

Kind of sad

Good mystery but of course this one couldn't Help but be a bit sad given the baby scenario. Maddie's dad is still around and her mother is being scarce. The killer was who I figured but it was still a good book. Entertaining and recommended.

Good read

Book 11 has humor, angst, murders, kidnapping, mystery, ghosts, several belligerent suspects, and love. There are some old quirky characters and some new quirky characters. Highly entertaining.

Baby love

If there’s one thing Maddie loves as much as Nick it’s a helpless baby. She spent a long time looking for a kidnapped baby and the crazy kidnapper. Good thing she’s psychic
