Fun, cute and sexy. A lighthearted rocker romance.

Ex-racecar driver Hudson Wyatt is currently known for this skill behind the drums of well-known rock band Hammered, and his penchant for partying and womanizing. But with the love bug going around in his band, he’s been feeling a bit left out and pondering if he’s missing out. He never expected Cupid would pair him with a sexy, oddball cat lady with a quick wit. Can he convince her that they’re perfect for each other?

Café/cat playground owner Piper Lockwood has always been a bit of a tomboy, an odd woman out, clueless towards the opposite sex, but also super honest. Even knowing it wasn’t a great idea because the man was way out of her league, she doesn’t hesitate to ask Hudson for a few pointers. He’s the best and she’s got nothing to lose. The real problem is that she didn’t anticipate he’d be interested in her and not just for a few lessons.

Hello sexy rock star Hudson Wyatt! Wyatt first meets Piper at his bandmate’s Callie baby shower held at the Pussy Palace, get your mind out of the gutter! it’s the café/cat place owned by Piper, friend of Callie. When the happy group of rockers and friends leave, Piper propositions Wyatt and boy do sparks fly, right along with rapid fire innuendos and some miscommunications in expectations.

As the lessons progress Piper gets to know Hudson’s private persona and starts falling for the unattainable rock star. But in a misguided attempt to him the freedom she thinks he wants, she loses him until she realizes that what they had was the real deal.

I love catching up with these rock group! They’re very appealing and the group is so tightknit it feels like a big happy family that keeps getting bigger and fun-er!

Manster is book #4 of the Hammered series by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot. It is a standalone contemporary rocker romance. Told from both points of view and has a happy ending.

I don’t know where to start with the latest Hammered story. Between the innuendos, the miscommunications and the cats, I wasn’t sure where the story was going or how it was going to get there.

First, I am not a cat lover. Sorry! So, when Hudson walked into the Pussy Café and shuddered, so did I. Well, I wouldn’t have been able to walk in without downing a bottle of Benadryl but, that’s not the point. He shuddered because of his designer clothes and one cat who fell in love with him at first sight. Well, Maya may have but no so much on Piper’s end. But, she makes the best coffee he has ever had and made him a proposition that, for some unknown reason, he couldn’t refuse.

Piper knew that suggesting that Hudson school her on how to be more at ease around men could be a very bad idea. But, what did she have to lose? She was brought up by her father, can take apart a car’s engine and put it back together, can build or remodel anything but, she can’t communicate with a man on a woman’s level. She needs help and knows that there is no way that she can hold the interest of a rockstar playboy like Hudson.
As lesson one turns into lesson 2 and final exams are getting serious, Piper can’t help but see a side of Hudson that the public doesn’t see, and Hudson is getting really fed up with her calling him teacher. She has to see what she is doing to him, what she means to him. Until she gives him what she thinks he wants … freedom with a f*ck buddy when he’s not on tour. Wrong! It takes a beautiful baby for her to see what she gave up, what she is missing and just what she means to him.

This was a cute story. Not exactly what I was expecting with the Hammered crew but it was amusing. Cari and Taryn know how to write a story together and I was happy that there wasn’t too much angst throughout the story. Piper actually started getting on my nerves though. She came off as a little whiney and a true cat lady and seriously had no clue how to act around a man. I was actually feeling sorry for Hudson at some points. But, the secondary characters, the Hammered members, Tabitha really made the story fun. I’m looking forward to more from the boys of Hammered.

Maneuvered is the latest sexy, fun entry in the Hammered rockstar series.

Piper runs a cat cafe called the Pussy Palace. You know from that name alone that this will be funny and irreverent and sexy, and it is. But it's more than that, Piper and Hudson are real, layered characters with a palpable chemistry that kept me engaged til the very last page.

When Hudson and Piper meet at Callie's Jack and Jill baby shower, she's intrigued by the huge, hot guy with the expensive designer clothes and the cinnamon colored ginger hair. He seems a bit snooty at first glance, not taking off his mirrored sunglasses, looking down his nose at all her cats, especially Maya, the Siamese that has taken a liking to him. But, he can't help but be attracted to Piper. She's so different than the plastic women he's used to as the drummer in a famous rock band. And when she pleads for his help
"Can you teach me how to be a girl?"
how can he possibly say no to this adorable, slightly crazy woman with her addicting hickory coffee and coven of cats?

I loved seeing Hudson give Piper "lessons" in how to let go and indulge herself in sex and flirting. He was an absolute master at getting her out of her head and just having fun and allowing someone to give her pleasure. Piper was such an adorably awkward character with her straightforward manner and oblivious nature to when someone was hot for her. But Hudson wasted no time in letting her know just how much she turned him on. Of course, when one of them (Piper) inevitably did something, said something, stupid, to hurt the other and their blowup happened, I hurt for both them because it was obvious how far they had fallen for each other at that point. Thank God Cari and Taryn didn't drag it out too far and gave them an organically timed, natural way back to each other.

No one does sexy rockstars quite like the duo of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, and Maneuvered is one of their best so far. Hudson and Piper have an innate sexy chemistry that isn't something I'll soon forget, even in this huge market of rockstar romances. Can't wait for more from these two!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

RomCom lovers, this one’s for you!

MANEUVERED is a lighthearted, fun, and steamy story featuring the guys & gals of Hammered, plus their significant others. The hero is drummer Hudson Wyatt, and the heroine Piper Lockwood, a friend of a bandmate’s wife. He’s about as far from a typical rockstar as one can get. But that isn’t unexpected since he’s a cool-headed, former race car driver. Piper has focused on building her businesses, so hasn’t had much experience with men. She is completely and adorably quirky.

Throughout, you never know what Piper is going to say or how Wyatt will react, which makes for many laugh-out-loud moments. I can’t recall the last time I laughed—okay, snorted—so much while reading a book.

Callie and Owen, the main characters in Manipulated, have large roles in this story. I forgot how much I loved these two, especially Callie. She helps make the final chapter absolutely hilarious, and one of the best wrap ups I’ve read in a long while. I loved it.

Maneuvered can be read as a standalone, but reading the first books in the series will make it more enjoyable.

MANEUVERED is the fourth instalment in Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott’s (Taryn Quinn) contemporary, adult HAMMERED erotic, romance, rock star series focusing on the men and women of the rock band Hammered. This is drummer and former Formula One driver Hudson Wyatt, and café and cattery owner Piper Lockwood’s story line. MANEUVERED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Maneuvered was originally released under the title Manster but due to publishing issues the authors changed the cover and title within days of release.

Told from dual first person perspective (Piper and Hudson) MANEUVERED follows the building relationship between Hammered drummer Hudson Wyatt, and café owner Piper Dawson. Hosting Callie and Owen Blackwell’s recent baby shower for the members of the rock band Hammered brought Piper Dawson face to face with their sexy and arrogant drummer Hudson Wyatt. Hudson Wyatt is Callie Blackwell’s best friend, and by default was expected to attend the baby shower festivities. Enter shower host, cattery owner and most-excellent coffee barista Piper Lockwood-the woman with whom Hudson would fall in love. What ensues is the growing romance between Piper and Hudson as Hudson ‘educates’ Piper on the art of seduction; and the potential fall out when Piper gives Hudson an ‘out’ to their unconventional relationship.

Piper does not consider herself a girlie-girl. Raised by her father Piper was more apt to wear jeans and a sweat shirt than get dressed up for a special occasion but something about Hammered drummer Hudson Wyatt calls to our heroine’s heart when she makes Hudson an offer he cannot refuse. Hudson’s immediate refusal hurts more than Piper thought, and in this, she will keep her any thoughts of a permanent relationship on hold. Hudson’s reputation as a manwhore and player precedes our hero’s introduction to our story line heroine, and his immediate rejection of Piper’s advances stings more than Piper could have imagined.

All of the previous story line couples and characters play secondary and supporting roles including Hunter and Kennedy (Manaconda #1), Faith and Quinn (Manhandled #2) Owen and Callie Blackwell (Manipulated #3), guitarist and bad boy Zach, as well as Piper’s business partner, friend and bakery owner Levi, and a very large assortment of cats and kittens.

The world building continue to focus on the band-their on going personal battles, in-fighting, paparazzi, and fans.

MANEUVERED is a laid back, playful story line of one woman’s education in the art of seduction, and one man’s education in the art of love. The premise is engaging, entertaining and lively; the romance is provocative and intense; the characters are dynamic, colorful and animated. MANEUVERED follows the birth of the next generation as Callie and Owen’s baby makes an appearance. For fans of the authors’ FOUND IN OBLIVION series, some of the events cross over and run parallel to events in MANEUVERED, and there may be some spoilers if you are not up to date with FIO.

These ladies slay me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The whole Oblivion-verse is just so real to me, and every time I start one of these books, I know I'm in for a TREAT.

I'll start my review by talking about the main characters.

We got a nice taste (oh how I WISH, amirite?) of Hudson Wyatt in Manipulated, and I was one-hundred-percent ready to read more about him by the end of that book. I didn't expect full-on Wyatt attitude. And he was throwing it from PAGE EFFING ONE. Instead of only seeing the charming and affable side of him, we get to see the jerky, demanding, coffee-hoarding, broody drummer.

I pulled her hand away. “It’s not about me tonight.” I led her back to the couch. “In fact, let’s just take away that temptation.”
I sat down and pulled her onto my lap. If I couldn’t see all her curves, then maybe I could make it through this final exam.
Maybe.

Meanwhile, we meet Piper. Owner of the Pussy Palace. It's totally NOT what you're thinking. She and Callie, Owen's very pregnant wife, are good friends, and Piper is closing down her cat cafe to host Callie's baby shower. It's an "all hands on deck" type shower, so guys and girls alike are there - to Wyatt's ultimate chagrin. Piper takes everything in stride though. Even when she has a demanding jerk to deal with, she still manages to make sure all the other attendees are taken care of, and she's a perfect hostess.

Wyatt would like to think he's sticking around for the coffee, and then Piper lays him flat with a request that went from zero to sixty in nothing flat. She wants to know how to flirt, and maybe more. From what he's seen, it looks like quite a bit more. Fork-flying, cat-scratching, coffee-pressing more.

Are you twisting your hair as you try to figure out how to reply about sexting? Or are you nibbling on that delectable mouth of yours?

Yes, this is a rom-com - hate to love essentially (which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE), but there are some angsty parts. That only enhances the story as far as I'm concerned. There are also some tie-ins to the other Oblivion-verse titles, including a bit at the end that had me a little choked up BECAUSE HOW COULD YOU!?! ahem, I mean, I was reminded of the ending of another book that was very emotional. *wink*

So for reals, I give this one FIVE stuffed baby giraffe stars. FIVE!!!

Maneuvered is a wonderful light hearted, hugely funny rom com and a complete joy to read. Although this is a rocker romance, I have to say the star of the show for me is Piper. She is unfiltered, totally awkward and the stuff that comes out of her mouth is hilarious. She realises that she is lacking in certain social skills but is oblivious to the fact that her responses and reactions to those situations make her completely endearing.

I love characters like Piper and was pleased by the fact that although she enlists Wyatt's help in "learning how to be a girl", she doesn't fundamentally change her quirky personality and frequently lets fly with whatever pops into her head.

Certainly not a typical rockstar, I found Wyatt initially came across as stand-offish, more interested in his expensive clothing and getting back on the road with the band than anything else. However, some time spent with Piper at Callie's baby shower has him intrigued and his attitude changes. Her refreshing honesty and unexpected responses convince him to go along with her request. Once Wyatt begins Piper's lessons, oh boy do things heat up. These authors are fantastic at writing steamy scenes and those moments between our couple here are perfect. Not overdone, they are teasing and sensual and through these we get the sense that their feelings for each other are changing and growing.

Extremely talented authors, I have to say these ladies got me in the heart again with an unexpectedly poignant moment towards the end of the book which had me wiping my eyes. Without wishing to give anything away, they took us from laughing out loud one minute, to a beautifully tender moment between another couple, the next.

Funny, sexy and emotional, with plenty of story too, I don't hesitate to recommend this book.

Hunter Wyatt is the drummer for the rock band Hammered and he is anxiously waiting to get back on the road with his bandmates. One of the holdups is his bandmate and friend Owen and Piper Blackwell are waiting on their first child which will make his/her arrival any time now. A friend of Callie’s, Piper, happens to own a very unique café/coffee house and she was throwing a Jack & Jill baby shower for the expecting couple. That’s where Hunter and Piper meet and Hunter has fallen in love with her coffee even though he could live without all the cats she has surrounding the café. Hunter was also drawn in when the relationship uneasiness Piper showed grabbed his attention especially after Piper asked for his help to give her lessons which would help her with the opposite sex. Who was Hunter to turn down such an interesting teaching curriculum!

Would these two be able to keep this a strictly teacher/student relationship and what kind of grade did Piper receive. This was a great rock romance in the Hammered series and I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

I loved this sweet & unlikely pair.
Hudson is a Rockstar and Piper owns a cat cafe & is basically a “cat lady”. They are two people who have nothing in common except unexpected attraction. So can Piper keep his interest? Hell yeah, she can! When they come together, things are unbelievably hot! And Hudson was sweet the way he falls hard for the awkward Piper even though at times she had bad timing with the off the wall things that came out of her mouth. Luckily, Hudson liked her exactly the crazy way she was.

Note: This ARC was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. The full review can be found at Dog-Eared Daydreams.

I absolutely adored Hudson and Piper! You may have noticed that I've chosen to call him "Hudson" rather than "Wyatt". Well, that has to do with Wyatt being more of his Hammered persona and Hudson being the man who slowly revealed parts of himself to Piper throughout the book. Either way, I loved the guy as a whole. He may have started off as really aloof, but the guy's got heart and cheesy as it may sound, it's a heart that's reserved for his band and for the cat lady who makes a mean cup of coffee, aka Piper. The humor was on-point and smart as heck, but that's just one of the reasons why this book in particular was such a winner and the series in general is an absolute keeper, at least as far as I'm concerned. The romance felt so innate for a couple like Hudson and Piper, meaning it never felt contrived. The vibe between the two was often playful and flirty, and whatever angst was in the story was at a bare minimum and this angst addict isn't complaining one little bit about that. Fans of the series may also appreciate that we get to catch up with those couples we've already met and fallen in love with. With Hudson snapped up, we've got two to go--Zach Kane and Reed "Bats" Mason--and I'm still hoping Bats doesn't end up with the soul-sucker that is Victoria Shear. For now, go and bask in the five-plus-starred wonder that is Manster. ♥

This book was sent to me by the authors for an honest review. I liked Hudson right away but it took me awhile to warm up to Piper. Piper does come across as the crazy lonely cat lady while Hudson is the sophisticated foreigner. Hudson is getting anxious while waiting to get back on tour but is getting bored with his current lifestyle. Piper, on the other hand, feels uncomfortable around men. She feels attracted to Hudson but know that someone of his caliber will never be interested in her. She decides to come up with a proposition. Piper asks Hudson to help her be more girly so she can attract a guy. At first he is appalled, but the more time he spends with her, the more he likes her because she is totally different than what he is usually attracted to. At first he is attracted because he is in love with her hickory coffee and uses that as an excuse to see her. The more time he spends with her, the more he wants to make her his. He starts giving her lessons on how to be more girly and can't believe that she can be as naive as she really is. When he finally decides to make it official with Piper, a miscommunication ends things between them. A baby ends up bringing them back together but not quite in the way he is hoping. Because the books in this series take longer to come out, I had a hard time trying to remember who he was in the band. I enjoyed reading the book but like any of the other books by these authors, I just feel that the endings kind of leave me hanging. I just feel that there is more to all the different characters storylines.

Manster is the fourth in the Hammered series, starring Hudson Wyatt and Piper Lockwood. Hudson was a world famous F1 (Formula One) racer until he was involved in a severe crash that took him out of the cockpit of his race car and put him behind a drum kit with Hammered. Behind the rest of the band Hudson may not be front and centre of the band, but he didn't give up his fast lane lifestyle; he's gone from F1 star to Rockstar.. He still dresses in three piece designer suits and and dates models and starlets.

Piper owns her own business, Rosie & Hank's Pussy Palace Cafe, featuring fresh brewed java and cats and kittens for petting, playing and adopting. Piper also designs and builds custom cat cubbies. One room of her cafe is a lounge for the cats and open to customers who want to spend time with the cats to relax and chill out. The cats are welcoming and loveable...all but one Siamese, Maya. Maya likes no one.

Hudson and Piper's story begins with Piper holding Callie's baby shower at the Pussy Palace. Hudson, of course attends the Jack and Jill baby shower that Piper is hosting because Callie. Hudson isn't fond of animals. He plans to sit in the cafe and drink coffee whilst the band and their significant others ooh and ahh over the gifts. Maya takes one look at Hudson and claims him...claws, fur and all. Hudson who has never spent more than a couple of nights with the same woman is looking at Piper with a whole different attitude.

This is the fourth book in the Hammered series. It can definitely be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend the previous books in the series as they are excellent and explain some of the relationships that are happening on the sidelines. This one covers Hudson Wyatt and Piper Lockwood. Wyatt is the drummer for Hammered. Piper is the owner of a coffee shop called the Pussy Palace (and not for what your mind would naturally think of LOL!). They meet when Callie has her baby shower there and Piper is making sure everything is alright and going the way it should. What happens after they meet is just hilarious! Wyatt is what you would think of as the typical rock star until you actually spend time with him and realize there is much more to him than he portrays. Piper is a very tomboyish woman who doesn't always understand subtle hints from people let alone men in general. Throwing them together should be like oil and water but they just click and make you love every minute of it! Not to mention the hotness factor!! I loved every second of this book and couldn't put it down! Now I have to impatiently wait for the next book. I'm ever hopeful that it's about Bats! Btw, the Mustang scene towards the end? It's great!!

Delightful, fun, charming, sexy, quirky - Loved It. One of my 2017 'feel good' stories with very little angst and misunderstandings are resolved quickly.

Unfiltered, self-conscious and awkward Heroine Piper is the heart of a story with charm and has the Reader cheering for the Cat Lady and her furry entourage to have a happy ending.

Interesting getting to know Wyatt as he adapted to all the changes with the band now that most of them are in committed relationships and starting to have children. His interactions with Maya the Cat were hilarious and adorable. I especially liked his gentlemanly and unselfish handling of their initial sexual encounter, and his respectful questions to obtain consent and spell out his expectations of her ability to say no, to give her the power in their sexual explorations. It was a WOW!

Great job by authors weaving the lives and friendships of these two characters into previous stories as we get to revisit other couples from series. Can be read as standalone, but knowing the romances in previous books will enhance enjoyment.

Going on my 2017 Favourites List - highly recommend for Readers looking for light, fun and sexy contemporary romance with happy ending...5 Satisfying Stars

"Maneuvered" is the latest in the Hammered series. This story focuses on Hudson, the drummer for the popular rock band Hammered, and Piper, the close friend of Callie (the heroine from the last book in the series and wife of Hammered bandmate Owen). This is truly an opposites attract romance with plenty of humor and heat!

Piper is a more introverted, often awkward, and self-proclaimed cat lady who owns a cat café/coffee shop. Hudson is a cool-under-pressure, well-dressed. former race car driver turned rock star. They meet through their friends and thanks to Piper’s desire to learn how to flirt and Hudson’s addiction to Callie’s coffee (and his attraction to Piper), we get to see them each learn and grow in different ways and figure out how to build a relationship when they both have their issues and hang-ups.

I absolutely love this series and highly recommend "Maneuvered" to anyone who enjoys rock star romances, opposites-attract, stories and sexy yet romantic comedies. While this is a separate story, I would strongly recommend reading the other books in the series (and possibly the Lost in Oblivion and Warning Sign series as well, since they are all intertwined!) because there are many characters and relationships to keep track of.

I will just say that I LOVE CATS! Piper owns a cat café (I wish I had one close to me) and has 2 as pets. But to me the cats/kittens stole the show in this book especially Maya. Hudson HATES cats and yet he is at a baby shower at Piper's café...but besides thed amazing coffee (come on we all have that one coffee that we LOVE) he was drawn to Piper from the beginning. While Piper was drawn to the HUGE guy coming in the door with his sunglasses on, so was a cat up for adoption Maya. Maya did not like ANYONE, but somehow she loved Hudson from the beginning.

Piper is someone we can probably all relate to as women. She feels like she is just average and why would any guy want to be with her...so she recruits Hudson to teach her how to flirt, etc....only these lessons are oh so steamy.

We get some awkward stuff which I secretly love, nothing is perfect right off the bat, and it causes some initial drama. And of course one major "issue" later which of course causes a lot more drama, but overall I would say this is a romcom with very sexy times involved. Hudson is amazing and I love all the band mates and girlfriends/wives, etc. They always add that nice dynamic.

One great laugh out loud sexy read! Piper is a somewhat socially awkward sweetheart who has no filter. Having been raised by a straight forward dad, she learned to speak her mind. She owns the coffee shop which she named Rosie & Hank's Pussy Palace Cafe, she makes and sells cat furniture, and has a cat room for her cats and others that can be adopted - cat lady all the way. Piper hosts Callie's Jack & Jill baby shower at the Pussy Palace where all of Hammered shows up and she gets to meet drummer Hudson Wyatt. He falls in love with the coffee and her cat falls in love with him. After forgetting his sweater at the cafe Wyatt heads back in after the shower and gets propositioned by Piper. She wants his help with being a girl and the opposite sex and thinks he the perfect person for the job. Once he's on board and the lessons begin he's gets so much more than he bargained for. Between their chemistry, her out loud thoughts and her curves Wyatt just may get schooled. These authors never disappoint - can't wait for the next rocker to fall for love.

Piper is the owner of The Pussy Palace and while you’d think the owner of that cafe would have no problem flirting, she really believes that part of her just doesn’t work!

Hudson Wyatt is a player according to the tabloids but he’s really over the “sleeping with models” scene (yes - we feel really bad for him).

But when Piper asks him to help her figure out the whole “talking to men” and a little bit more thing, he’s intrigued enough to be properly interested.

This book had a lot of things I love, including the nickname “kitten” which I know is a controversial one. But I love it.
He takes her on a journey of self-exploration (with a bit of assistance 👀) and we get to see Piper really come into her own.

Like the previous book in this series, it’s on the shorter side so I was missing a little more backstory. We get a little bit of Hudson’s past with racing but Piper allows him to shut down that conversation and I wish we’d come back to it.

Overall, this book was cheeky, cute and full of some fun wordplay and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the rest of the stories from this band in the coming months!

This is book 4 in the Hammered Series by two of my favorite authors! To me, this one was very different from the authors and I enjoyed it just as much!

Piper owns a cat café called the Pussy Palace (do you see where this is going). She's best friend's with Callie (who is married to Owen from the rock group Hammered). Hudson Wyatt is the drummer in Hammered and a retired race car driver. Wyatt is impeccably dressed and equally upset about the cats especially when one falls for him.

However, its mainly Piper that you fall in love with and her bluntness. Wyatt doesn't behave like you would expect a rockstar to behave. Piper's struggling with men and after smashing her lips to Wyatt's in an attempt at a kiss, she asks him to give her lessons in seducing which he promptly runs out of the building.

After rethinking his dash, he comes back for more. The two of them together are sweet and funny. Piper really does just speak her mind and keeps Wyatt on his toes. You're in for a fun ride with this book!

If you haven't gotten to know the boys of Hammered yet, you don't know what you're missing.

Since the beginning, I've been intrigued by Hudson Wyatt, our sexy race car driver turned drummer. And he didn't disappoint. Mysterious, sexy, sweet, and a little bit broody, Hudson is a complex guy. And when he turns on his charm and flashes you that sexy smirk, your ability to resist him is nonexistent.

Piper couldn't be more different than Hudson's typical type of woman. She's quirky, funny, a little bit awkward, and somewhat unsure of herself. But being around Hudson gives her the confidence that is lurking underneath, even if it does take a little bit of coaxing on his part to draw it out of her.

Put them together and you've got a story that's both sweet and steamy. It's definitely a feel-good story packed with feels and funny moments. And as an added bonus, we get to look back into the lives of all of our favorite Hammered rockers and their significant others. It doesn't get much better than that.

Piper is the woman we all wish we could be. She is straight forward, speaks her mind, loyal to her friends and cats and knows her own faults but isn't quite sure how to overcome them.
Hudson is a race car driver turned Rockstar drummer, he is cool and somewhat aloof.
He meets his match at Callie's baby shower.
This is a wonderful read. The two main characters well developed and lovable. You'll laugh at Pipers self depreciation and the conversations she has in her mind. You'll question Hudson initial reaction to Piper and wonder when he will realize this is more than just lessons or a distraction.
I enjoyed the secondary characters, including the cats.
This is another with characters that make you hope there will be several more books that will keep us in Hammered's world.
If you haven't read the last book of Lost in Oblivion don't read the epilogue.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.

This book was sort of like drinking skim milk. It kind of looks like milk, but tastes like it was watered down. The book just never delivered any solid punches to me. Maybe I was too tired when I read it.

It was OK. The authors can and have done a lot better though. Hudson is a nice guy, and Piper is OK. She's kind of hard to figure out. The action all happened rather abruptly for me. It seemed perfunctory and way too formulaic. No surprises.

I also did not like the cats. And I'm a cat lover! Too many claws and misbehaving felines. Too many kitty statues and kitty underpants, and kitty this and kitty that. No thanks. I just kept thinking I could not drink coffee in a shop with so many cats attached to it. The cat box smell would kill me. So that is just my personal prejudice from past visits to catteries looking for a cat to buy.

But the good news is that Hudson is lovable. A good many readers will enjoy the book just for that reason. He's a great guy actually.

It wasn't for me, but it might be just the ticket for plenty of other readers.

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Another fantastic book by this duo. Piper meets Wyatt when she hosts a Jack and Jill baby shower for her friend Callie. Wyatt acts like a jerk but they still notice each other. Wyatt thinks Piper is a crazy cat lady and Piper thinks he is the jerk that REALLY likes her hickory coffee.

Piper asks Wyatt to teach her how to act like a girl, or more precisely, "...how to not be me." Wyatt turns her down but, eventually, decides it would be a good diversion. But things quickly escalate and they can't stop thinking of each other. And it gets really hot.

Now Wyatt has to convince Piper he wants only her...and not as a project. Can Wyatt get Piper to admit that she loves him? Can he convince Piper that their future should be together? Read the book. It's a great read with misunderstandings, laughter, hot sex and adorable cats. What more can you ask for? I volunteered to review for an ARC of this book.

Hudson Wyatt, drummer for Hammered, meets Piper Lockwood, a success cat entrepreneur. Yep, cat entrepreneur. I must admit, it's a fresh idea and Piper's made a bunch of money on her love of the little furballs.

Hudson is intrigued in a way he's never been interested before in Piper, and when she asks him for lessons, he's all in. Hudson is all too willing to open her eyes to her own sexuality, especially when he's the guy showing her the ropes. It's actually a lot sweeter than it sounds, because this turns into a nice little falling-in-love story. After a few lessons, both parties find that they are in way too deep and that their heart just might be in jeopardy.

Everything comes to a head toward the end of the book with an emergency baby delivery, a race to the hospital, and two new roommates! Overall, an enjoyable tale with lots of steamy moments.

An ARC was provided for review.

Book #4 in the Hammered series does not disappoint. Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliot write romantic comedies that are fun to read.

Piper has a very unique business model. She owns Rosie and Hank's Pussy Palace which incorporates cats and coffee. She is unfiltered and so different from a stereo typical "cat lady". Hudson Wyatt is the ginger Adonis drummer in the band "Hammered". His hest friend is a woman and he isn't afraid of much.

The main characters are well defined and we get to meet new friends as well as visit with old friends. The story line flows quickly and Piper is a really enjoyable character to read.

Even though this is book 4 of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. There are characters that intertwine through different series and story lines. Quinn & Elliot continue add onto the world of music & bands they have creates.
