Second in command of the O’Shea wolf pack, Andrew Reid screwed up and let Charlotte walk away from him. Now that he’s come to his senses, he’s determined to win her back, no matter how much he has to grovel. Because she’s a woman worth fighting for.
She’s not willing to trust him again.
Charlie thought Andrew was different from other males, that what they shared was real—that their connection was the rare mating pull. But a true mate wouldn’t have ghosted on her the way he did. So no matter what he wants, she’s not playing his games. To capture her heart for good, he’ll have to prove he’s worthy of a second chance. Even if that means he has to give up everything, including his pack.
NOVELLA
Author all novellas in the series can easily be read as individual titles. There are no cliffhangers and each story has a HEA.
Crescent Moon 1. Taming the Alpha 2. Claiming His Mate 3. Tempting His Mate 4. Saving His Mate 5. To Catch His Mate 6. Falling For His Mate
Savannah Stuart is the pseudonym of New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katie Reus. Under this name she writes slightly hotter romance than her mainstream books. Her stories still have a touch of intrigue, suspense, or the paranormal and the one thing she always includes is a happy ending. She lives in the South with her very own real life hero. In addition to writing (and reading of course!) she loves traveling with her husband.
Savannah Stuart/Katie Reus returns to the Crescent Moon series to give her readers a short and extremely sweet second chance reconnection between Adam and Charlie.
Falling for his Mate, was a relatively quick read. Andrew knows he has messed up badly when he doesn’t show up for Charlie’s Salon opening, they fell hard and fast for each other when she took an extended stay with his pack, but when she returns to her own she fully expects that they will work out a long distance plan for the time being.
Ever since meeting Charlie… his entire world was off it’s axis…
Him not turning up to one of the most important days of her life breaks her heart and shatters her trust in the bond she thought they shared.
"I want to make it crystal fucking clear that you’re it for me… I screwed up before. Big time. I own it. And now I’m going to win you back."
There are no lengths that he won’t go to in order to prove to Charlie that he is serious in his commitment to make her his, and I really enjoyed getting to spend a couple of hours with these characters.
"When I’m in, I’m all in. I’m not walking away from this."
Love this author, really enjoyed this novella, and as always I cannot wait to read whatever she releases next.
"Good things are worth waiting for."

If you're looking for a great grovel book, this is perfect!
This book starts off with Andrew volunteering to go to Charlie's pack so he can mend what he broke. Since this starts out with our main characters in the outs, we do get a few flash backs to what they were like when they first meet. This helps to give you a feel for what they had.
I thought the author did a great job of showing the pull between these two and even though Andrew screwed up, he didn't do anything that would make you hate him. His offense is one that I can see forgiving very easily if he made the right amends and I'm happy to say he did.
This was a short, light angst story with a possessive wolf shifter that was sweet in his pursuit of his mate. No cheating, abuse or other woman/men drama. ARC provided by NetGalley.
This was a great, second chance story. Andrew panicked and stopped communicating with Charlie. 6 weeks have passed and he can't go on without her. Let the grovel begin!
-no cheating -no ow/om drama - she danced with her friend and that friend nuzzled her to make Andrew jealous and it worked -not much steam -both had been with others (I like my shifters to only be with their mates) -neither with others during separation -lackluster epilogue
Falling For His Mate is book six in the Crescent Moon series by Savannah Stuart/ Katie Reus. Andrew made a colossal mistake by letting his mate Charlie go, and he will stop at nothing to convince her to give him a second chance. I loved reading this fast-paced shifter novella and finished it in one sitting. Though Andrew messed up big time he was still a likable character, and I rooted for his and Charlie’s happily ever after. Wish it would have been longer! Can’t wait to read the next installment 😊 * I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I like this story. It's sweet, has an OTT here that truly shows remorse and grovel, also a great heroine that isn't swept away by the first sight of her man. She makes him work for it and I love that. I wish more books were like that, simply a great strong female character. The only thing that could be better is the ending. Since it's such a short story it did feel a bit rushed but overall it was a great read.
This is an awesome taste of all the wonderfulness that is Savannah Stuart/Katie Reus. I absolutely loved the possessive, protective alpha Andrew as he attempts to win back the woman he loves. Charlie was hurt when he never showed up to an event that meant the world to her. He had promised and not only did he not make an appearance, he never contacted her to explain why. As far as she’s concerned he is totally history and doesn’t have a chance at reconciliation. Even if her wolf disagrees with her.
This is a novella that has all the goodness of a full book. With a storyline that engages, secondary characters that don’t dominate, and all the feels of a couple of to-be-mated wolves, this story checks all my boxes for a perfect read.
Second Chance Shifter Romance She-wolf Charlie wasn’t expecting to see Andrew on her home turf. Not after he basically ghosted on her six weeks ago. His sudden rejection of her and what she thought was a meaningful connection, cuts deep and no way is she letting him get close to her again.
Andrew grew up watching his alpha father submit to his stepmother. The unbalance of their relationship made Andrew swear off that kind of mindless devotion/servitude. When he meets Charlie, the instant attraction is surprising but the mind numbing need to drop everything to be there for her is enough to freak him out.
Thinking to distance himself, if only to prove he still has his own will power, backfires when Andrew realizes that he is letting his own messed up assumptions color Charlie in a negative light.
But disappearing on her for six weeks isn’t something Charlie will easily forgive. Andrew will have to pull out all the stops to prove to Charlie he is done running from this. From them. He knows it and she knows it, they’re meant to be and he is finally ready to prove he is a worthy mate for her.
Oh, the single-mindedness of shifters! When they admit their true feelings, there is no going back. It’s a one way ticket to HEA and it’s forever! Lol :)
I loved that Andrew manned up and worked to right his wrong.
I loved that Charlie did in fact make him work for her forgiveness. She held out and I loved that it wasn’t vindictive or mean spirited. She still loved Andrew but she had enough self-preservation to want evidence that Andrew wasn’t just telling her want she wanted to hear. I like that she was assertive in her wants and not a push over when it came to dealing with him.
I read the first in the series and was left with an okay impression. This one is an improvement and has re-piqued my interest in the series!
A well-written, well-plotted, relatively quick and light romance with a happy ending!!!!!!
Ever since meeting Charlie… his entire world was off its axis…
Holy Moly! Falling for his Mate by Katie Reus hit all the right notes for me with cherries on top! My wish list was for a well-written, well-plotted, relatively quick and light romance with a guaranteed happy ending. To that end, I perused the titles I’d not yet read on my kindle, saw that this book was written by Katie, one of my favorite authors, and opened it. Voila! I started reading it last night and couldn’t put it down until I’d read every luscious word. Falling for his Mate was the story of two wolf shifters: Andrew Reid, second in command of the O’Shea wolf pack in South Carolina, and Charlotte aka Charlie, a she-wolf in the Kincaid pack in coastal Orange Beach, Alabama.
As the story opens, Andrew was on his way to Orange Beach as one of a set of temporarily traded pack mates. Andrew had volunteered for the task so he could see Charlie again and, hopefully, make things right between them after he’d majorly screwed up with her. He doubts that he will receive a warm welcome from Charlie…. And he’s right.
Charlie had attended her friend’s baby shower held in the O’Shea wolf pack’s compound weeks ago. While at the shower, she had met Andrew and her wolf knew immediately that he was the one for her. They had a great few weeks together and were talking about how to make their relationship permanent. She thought she and Andrew were on the same page about this. Charlie had finally headed back to her O’Shea pack banking on Andrew’s promise to attend the opening of her beauty salon there –the culmination of one of the most important achievements of her life. She couldn’t wait to see him again and announce to her pack that she’d found the one for her. But… he was a no-show with no-word, having cut off all communications with Charlie with no explanation as to why. Charlie felt betrayed and was deeply hurt.
I liked both Andrew and Charlie from the get-go. They were great together until Andrew majorly messed up. I could fully understand why Charlie wasn’t open to second chances. But, Andrew was so sweet and so determined and, OMG, out of control as he worked at wooing her again. I couldn’t help but pull for him… even as ornery as he’d been.
LOL! One of my favorite scenes involved some major groveling. I would imagine that picture will stay with me for a long time!
Following please find a few of my favorite quotes from Falling for his Mate:
"I want to make it crystal fucking clear that you’re it for me… I screwed up before. Big time. I own it. And now I’m going to win you back." --- “Been waiting for me?" she asked, going up on tiptoes as she reached him... "You're two minutes late," he said against her lips.” --- “I can think of a few ways I wouldn't mind you taking control." He dropped his voice a few octaves, making his already deep voice even more delicious.”
I’ve been unintentionally reading the series out-of- order. Even though this is the sixth book in Katie’s Crescent Moon series, I can attest that it can be fully enjoyed as a stand alone. The romance is fully self-contained within this installment.
Falling for his Mate is another addictive read by the amazingly talented Katie Reus who also writes under the name of Savannah Stuart. I never fail to connect to her characters and to be engrossed by her stories. If you enjoy fun paranormal urban fantasy romances spiced with sexy times, I’d highly recommend that you check out Katie’s Falling for his Mate and her Crescent Moon series!
Fun-tastic read! Sweet yet steamy second-chance story that kept me entertaining from the first page to the last one. It’s always a pleasure coming back to this series because although short, this author always delivers in the romance department.
I was gifted a copy of this story by the author. My review is my opinion alone and was in no way influenced by the author or publisher.
Sweet second chance romance. Pretty short, did not really inspire strong feelings in me either way. When I finished my first thought was...meh, it was ok. Not remarkable. Some good grovel but hero was an idiot before. Heroine was sweet and not a total pushover. Very safe read.
If you are in the mood for a short, sweet, second chance with some grovel to it romance, Falling For His Mate would suit perfectly. It also very safe with no other women etc. if that’s what you like.
Andrew, second in command of his wolf pack, completely panicked when he met his mate, Charlie, and then screwed up royally by not only standing her up but completely ghosting on her. Now he wants her back and Charlie wants nothing to do with him, and rightfully so.
My main problem with the book is we didn’t get the before. We are plopped down smack in the middle of the story. There are some flashbacks that eventually tell the tale but they just didn’t work for me at all. The way they kept popping up in weird spots felt really off to me. It would have made so much more sense and felt way less cheesy just to go ahead and start the story at the beginning, especially for such a short book.
Because it started in the middle, although I liked both Charlie and Andrew—especially Charlie, I didn’t get a sense of how deeply Andrew had hurt her and what exactly he had thrown away. It also cut down on a sense of the characters developing. I can’t say I completely connected to either of them.
The story itself was okay, once I got it pieced together but the resolution was so easy I got a more short story vibe from it than even a novella feel. In the end, it was just too short, too easy, and too safe for me.
Rating: 3 It was decent Stars
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
The cover is okay, but I like my shifter books to have the animals on the cover too!!
This is the 6th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content. It is not necessary to read them in order, but I suspect you would love them more if you did! In the future, I plan to get the books I haven’t read yet to see if I’m correct! It is novella length and about 145 pages.
This is Andrew and Charlie’s story! Andrew made some bonehead mistakes because of fear and now he must atone to get his mate. I really like both of them. They both work hard, and they are better together. They just have to realize it. There is a little bit of action with some vampires, but mostly it is the two of them trying to get their stuff together.
I enjoy Savannah’s writing! She pulled me right into the story, and I didn’t want to put it down. Actually, I stayed up way too late finishing it last night, but it was worth it.
I recommend to any wolf shifter fan especially if you love Savannah Stuart and Katie Reus’s work already!!
This is a beautiful story that is full of action, romance and mystery. This is fantastic writing that is all the goodness of Savannah Stuart/Katie Reus. We have alpha Andrew who is possessive and protective and he wants the chance to win back his mate , the woman that he loves- Charlotte. Charlotte had her heart tore apart when Andrew walked away from her. When she returns to the packs lands, she is determined to move forward with opening her new salon and forget about the past which includes Andrew. Andrew gets a chance to try and make things right when he comes in an exchange trade deal and he takes the opportunity to visit the Kincaid pack determined to make amends and get his mate. In this novella, we get to see the chemistry, the angst. the pain and the love between Andrew and Charlie. Will they are wont they get back together? There is heat and there is a lot of love in the novella that is a return to the CRESCENT MOON series. I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Andrew made a bone-head move when he got cold feet and walked away from the woman who is his mate. Now that he realizes the mistake he made, he's determined to do whatever it takes to have her forgive him and give him a second chance.
Charlotte had her heart broken when Andrew walked away. Returning to her pack's lands, she's determined to move forward with her new salon and forget about the past. But when Andrew comes to Charlotte's pack in an exchange trade deal, he's going to use this opportunity to spend time with her and convince her that he's got his head on straight and they belong together.
Falling for his Mate is a quick, sweet read and a fun return to the Crescent Moon world.
*ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review.
Now really Dumbshit is what I nicknamed Andrew I mean seriously what a coward for running and Charlie thank you for being a strong enough woman to make him beg over and over lol these short stories are a great quick read with lots of drama action and sexy scenes to lose yourself in.
The title and synopsis says it all, folks. In this 142 page wolf shifter themed romance, this stand-alone but part of a linked series gives you a remorseful, alpha possessive, groveling hero named Andrew, who is willing to give up everything, to win back the girl he previously foolishly pushed away. Charlotte tries to cut him out of her life and heart, but a wolf wants what a wolf wants. After a brief stand-off, where she doesn’t make it easy for him, and a dramatic showdown with some rogue supernatural villains, these two finally get their HEA.
As someone who just dabbles in this genre, I must say I’m not used to the overly wolf pack dialog/references. There is a lot of mention on how things smell (ie., emotions, each other, etc.) and how things are handled by this paranormal species. If you are an avid wolf shifter enthusiast, you likely will feel right at home. For me, it took some getting used to.
Please note this is a short novella. I breezed right through it. You’ll basically get what the book summary promises. I mostly enjoyed it because I’m a pushover for any hero who regrets letting his girl go then decides to do whatever it takes to win her back.
Romance Safety Gang:
P.S. Savannah Stuart is the same author as Katie Reus. Her more steamy romances are published under Savannah Stuart's name.
Title: Falling for His Mate, Series: Crescent Moon (Book 6), Author: Katie Reus/Savannah Stuart, Pages: 142, stand-alone but part of a series, remorseful/groveling, good guy alpha wolf shifter hero, short but sweet, only a few very steamy scenes, some graphic violence involving a fight with paranormal creatures, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama.

What’s it About? The premise is simple, Andrew had a quick and intense connection to Charlotte aka Charlie that left him frightened and he ghosted on her. Unfortunately he’s now come to his senses just when Charlie doesn’t want anything to do with him. She thought that what they had was the rare mating pull but when Andrew just up and left her it broke her confidence in him and she’s not willing to give him another chance. But Andrew isn’t going to give up without a fight and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get her back.
Overall reaction to the story? Falling for His Mate is pretty quick as far as novellas go and usually I’m not a big fan of them but it’s Katie Reus and I’m a really big fan of hers so I don’t pass up a chance to read anything by her. What I enjoy about her novellas is that while they’re short, they don’t leave a reader hanging and they certainly don’t leave a reader feeling short changed.
Andrew and Charlie already had a history together and I was glad of it so that more time could be spent on Andrew fixing what he screwed up out of fear. Bad Andrew! However, he wasn’t a bad guy, er, wolf. In fact, I liked that his feelings for Charlie caused him some doubt. No one likes an overconfident wolf. That bit of insecurity made him a better character and when he came back to win Charlie over he had grown during his absence and became a stronger, more confident wolf.
That doesn’t mean he should have it easy and Charlie certainly made him work for her forgiveness and he really had to work hard to get her to trust him again. I love that about Reus’ heroines, they aren’t pushovers but they aren’t unreasonable either. Because of Andrew’s abandonment, Charlie suffered some doubts about herself and the feelings of others towards her and that balanced out her otherwise tough girl personality. I loved how she still wanted Andrew but at the same time she was hurt, angry, and confused. It allowed her to let Andrew prove himself instead of her just giving in and giving him a second chance. Their romance had to be built again because of Andrew’s foolish choice to run away.
Falling for His Mate is strictly Andrew and Charlie’s story and while there may be one or two additional characters here, the focus stays were it should be, allowing for a complete and satisfying novella length romance.
Andrew, second-in-command, and Charlie met when she stayed with her best friend for a few weeks. Their connection was instant and both knew it was leading toward a mating. However, as much as Andrew truly cared for Charlie, that also scared him due to witnessing his Dad letting his mate rule all. So, like a coward, Andrew let Charlie down, therefore breaking what was growing between them.
Charlie is home, her salon is open and doing well, and she doesn't miss Andrew at all. Okay, the last part is a lie, but he broke his word to her by not attending her salon's opening as he promised. At first, she was concerned, but after receiving confirmation, and not from him, that he was okay, Charlie resigned herself to letting go of him.
Andrew had other plans, such as volunteering to be one of the wolves temporarily traded to Charlie's pack. He knows he screwed up, badly, and vows to fix it while getting his mate back...and make no mistake, Charlie is his. Now, if he can just earn her forgiveness and a second chance.
Charlie is shocked to see Andrew again, not to mention that he truly seems regretful of his actions, but after breaking a promise once... As Andrew and Charlie begin spending time together again, Andrew finally starts revealing parts of himself, including why he acted as he did. Though Charlie can understand his hesitancy, she's also hurt he assumed she would do anything like that to him.
Can Andrew prove to Charlie he'll never let her down again? Will Charlie give Andrew a second chance? As they each have obligations to their respective packs, especially Andrew, what happens next? Is there a HEA for these two?
One-click and follow along as two people are given a second chance to explore the bond growing between them. Also, for those questioning the safety as there is a separation period, both are celibate during it.

Andrew is second in command of the O'Shea pack and when he first meets Charlotte (who is visiting from another pack) he falls head over heels in love. But with that love comes a bit of boneheaded, alpha idiocy, he disappears on Charlie after promising to show up at her Salon opening when she returns home. Not only does he not show up but he straight out avoids her. He realizes his momentous screw-up not long after and heads over to her pack and is determined to win her trust and love back.
Charlie is devastated when she realizes that Andrew bailed on her with no explanation. Heartbroken, she plans on moving on with her life but when Andrew shows up unexpectedly at her shop she is finds herself having a difficult time resisting him even though she is still furious and hurt.
This was short and sweet afternoon read. I always enjoy watching an Alpha own up to their mistakes and show their vulnerable side. As usual this wouldn't be a Katie Reus book without some of her trademark sizzle. Falling for his Mate is a perfect addition to the Crescent Moon series!

Even if that means he has to give up everything, including his pack.
Review:
This will not be a long review because this is a novella and if I give away a lot, there goes the whole book.
What I will say though, is that the Author puts a lot of story in a small package. I was very satisfied with this paranormal romance. It was well-executed, great characters, no cliff-hangers, sexy, romantic. Andrew and Charlie are extremely likable and love their second chance at love story. I always love this Author's storytelling and read her whenever anew book comes out.
If you are looking for a quick, entertaining, paranormal read then I would highly suggest this book and the series for that matter.

How I love Savannah Stuart aka Katie Reus. I haven’t found a book of hers that I dislike. This one? A novella length, full of heartfelt romance, sweet hot scene, and a dash of suspense? I simply LOVE it!
Andrew screwed by letting his mate walk away from him. Now he’s ready to grovel to get her back, for good. He’s ready to make a life-changing decision too! He’s simply all in to be back with his mate. Charlie believed Andrew was different, that he’s her mate, but he ghosted on her. Although for a reasonable cause, it still hurt, and she wasn’t really willing to take him back. Well, a mate would not give up, and neither was Andrew. I love that Andrew needed to grovel, a lot. If he was taken too easily, well, Charlie won’t be quite likable then. And when Ms. Reus threw in a bit of suspense in it, then it’s just perfect!
I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through NetGalley, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.
This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Crescent Moon series and written by Katie Reus/ Savannah Stuart. Second in command of the O’Shea wolf pack, Andrew Reid screwed up and let Charlotte walk away from him. Now that he’s come to his senses, he’s determined to win her back, no matter how much he has to grovel. Because she’s a woman worth fighting for. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I enjoy the Crescent Moon series and this short and sweet book was good. Andrew our hero really messed up but he own it and he does a really good job of groveling to get back into Charlie's good graces. This book starts with a couple who is on the outs so we do get a few flashbacks to show us how the couple was before Andrew got cold feet. Although I enjoyed it, this isn't one that will stick with me. However, if you're a fan of the series then you'll enjoy this short and sweet shifter story.

FALLING FOR HIS MATE is a fast read with a stubborn alpha wolf trying to win back the she-wolf of his dreams after messing up royally.
I really enjoyed reading about Andrew and Charlie. Yes, Andrew made a HUGE mistake, but his wholehearted attempts at wooing Charlie back really endeared me to him. Charlie is a strong, smart woman that won't roll over easily for any male that treats her badly. Even though she's tough, her beautifully kind heart (and her wolf) couldn't completely let go of Andrew. I loved how the story concluded, I just wish it hadn't been so short! I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in future books.
***I voluntarily read a Net Galley of the book in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
"Falling For His Mate" by Katie Reus, Savannah Stuart is Book Six in the "Crescent Moon" series. This is the story of Charlotte "Charlie" and Andrew. I have not yet read the other book sin this series so for me this was a standalone book. Also this book is a Novella with about 80 pages. This was a second chance at love with Andrew looking to correct his awful mistake with Charlie. The author does let us see what happened between these two which started Andrews drive to get Charlie back. "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
I fill like I may have missed some of the back story for this couple and while that normally isn't a problem for me with this author, this time it was. That's on me. So, I would suggest reading the others in this series first and then reading this story so you get the most out of it.
With a lot of ground to make up for and rogue vampires to worry about Andrew has his work cut out for him winning back Charlie.
Charlie still hasn't gotten over the hurt and anguish from Andrew's betrayal. That last thing she needs is him showing up in their territory.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Perfect for fans of fated mates and second chance romance. If you like characters who try to fight the mating bond, Falling for His Mate is a good pick. Andrew really screws up with Charlotte and has to win her back. Charlie is NOT quick to forgive. She knows how she feels about him, but he broke her heart and left her totally confused. I enjoyed the story and am curious about the previous books in the series. I like the world that the author has created. Shifters, humans, vampires all existing but humans are unaware.
