The Duplicity Duet was a sexy and seductive novel. I didn't merely fall for the main characters, I plunged head-over-heels for them. Marco was sensual, controlling, and demanding. But he also had this soft side that he allowed to peek through at times. Brandi was such a complex lady. Sultry and provocative on one side, tender and caring on the other. Another fabulous addition was Daniel. This little man was an endearing heartthrob that was a lady-killer in training.

Thrilling, dangerous, and mysterious. There were so many facets to the story that complicated this world and captivated mine. I hung on every word and action in this duet as the story morphed from eroticism to passion and then into fury and fight. My mood went from light and heady to sorrowful and ruined as my chest was being pressed in and crushed. But, Author Elisabeth Grace had some tricks up her sleeve, not leaving me in a state of distress for too long, and giving me an ending that mirrored the heat and hope I had longed for from the beginning.

Oh. My. Word. Just when I thought Elisabeth Grace couldn’t surprise me, she put together this delightfully dirty duet. Hook & Burn were unlike anything I’ve read from this author before. Full of drama, fear, hurt, danger and more twists than I could keep track of, I was glued to these books from the first jaw dropping page.
Brandi, the escort with a heart of gold that bleeds for her son, Daniel, and him only. I loved that she has hopes a dreams that are far bigger than what she does for a living. When work brings her to the door of the mysterious and uber sexy Marco Valenti, all bets are off. This man. I don't even know how to put him into words. He is broody and dominant but also refined and a gentleman. I liked that, initially, I didn't learn much about him except for what he does when his suit comes off! These two steam up the sheets and the door and the shower and the...you get the point. The chemistry is undeniable and as Marco demands more of her time, they come to an understanding and even a friendship of sorts.
But when outside forces plot to get their way no matter the cost, Brandi is left in the cross fire- and by extension, Daniel. Gah! I didn't see this turn coming but I enjoyed how it changed the dynamic of Marco and Brandi's quasi relationship. Cue increased intensity and a mother of a twist!
I really liked how much the Daniel situation changed both Marco and Emily. They were living on emotions and those feelings carried over into the choices they were making. I absolutely LOVED getting some Marco POV. There was so much more to that sexy Italian than what you saw on the surface. He felt deeply and loved wholeheartedly. When he lost both of those things he had to channel his anger and pain into something, anything. Ugh, my heart broke for them. They were fighting for the same thing just on different sides and with a different end game in mind. And Emily! This woman never ceased to surprise me. She has to be one of the strongest female's I've read. The lengths she was willing to go to see justice served had me on the edge of my seat.
I can't get into all the details because this duet is something you just have to read and experience for yourself. Yes you will yell and throw your kindle. Yes you will want to shake Elisabeth Grace for doing this to your head and your heart. Yes you will want a hug and a glass of wine. But most of all you will want so much more of Emily and Marco.

OMFG!!!! WOW!!! Can I give this more stars PLEASE?!!! Just finished reading & cannot describe all the emotions I feel right now & while reading "Hook & Burn" 😄😂😡😭😩😳😮.... A roller coaster of a ride is an understatement...
I read excessively but very seldom do I leave a review because I don't have a deep connection like I felt while reading book...
Let me begin by saying that when I read the book description I thought no way not my kind of book, prostitute/escort? Not that I don't understand that wonderful, smart women sometimes have to do things some of us could never imagine, but I tend to go for the innocent virgin....or the light BDSM!!
I loved the relationship between Marco & Brandi/Emily!! The emotions of the main characters developed at the perfect pace... &'the minor characters were endearing & complimented the story perfectly!!!
Loved the amount of suspense, sex, angst, etc....a perfect recipe!!
I can usually tell what may happen in a story, they are unfournately predictable.... BUT when Daniel died?... I did too.... I truly believed it & did not see how he could have survived...😫 How would Emily ever survive the death of a child? Her reaction was so realistic (I can't imagine, my kids are 23,13,11.. The loves of my life)
I also loved the ending!! It went far enough into the future to give Marco & Emily the HEA they deserved!!! Now I can relax!!!
I can also sleep since I had to finish the book before I could pit it down!!!

Marco is the sexy high powered businessman who engages her services while he is in town working on a deal and from their first meeting they were drawn to each other and it about so much more than their business relationship.
The only problem is that Marco has secrets that once revealed will either make their relationship stronger or destroy them but their lives will never be the same.
Marco has a steel core but for the first time in his life Brandi makes him feel vulnerable and Brandi has had to be strong all her life to survive and she only gets stronger. The suspense and twists make this a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This book is a good introduction to dark romance. Technically I guess it would be a dark mafia romance. If you’re looking for something that’s thrilling and romantic, but not vanilla, you will enjoy this story. There’s a bit of spice and possessiveness but nothing too exciting. It’s an emotional rollercoaster so be warned, you may need tissues. HEA eventually.

WOW!!! These books are AMAZING! Elisabeth has HOOKED me with this intense, emotional rollercoaster of a story!!!

I loved it
Oh my gosh! This was a new to me author and she did not disappoint. This series kept me on my toes and had me panicking and rocking myself in my feelings. I was alternately dismayed and gutted by the end of book one and cheering and gutted again in book two. I loved ever second of reading this series even when I was contemplating and resisting the desire to throw my kindle across the room. I highly recommend it.
