She's My Lil Hood Thang

Rate this book
Sister’s Yarah & Yaris lived the life of luxury. Nice house on the upper east side of New York, both parents in their life, and they were spoiled rotten. But not everything that glitters is gold and these two learn first hand what it’s like to fall from grace. When they move to Brooklyn with their grandmother they go from being the most popular girls in their old high school to being the unknown nobodies of their new school. Leaving them both to find away to adjust to their new life style. A night of just wanting to have fun, quickly turns into a night they will never forget when a fight almost breaks out and bullets fly.

When it comes to pushing that work Zay & Ji are the men to see. They're every hood chick's dream guy & every street dude's goal. Counting money & sexing chicks is how Ji chooses to live. He's a hot head through & through. Ji lives by the gun but his brother Zay fears he's going to die by it too. Zay on the other hand is the laid back conscious type. Never making a move without having a back up plan for the back up plan. Think first act later is the saying he lives by.

At twenty five he's willing to settle down but only if the right girl comes along. A hectic encounter leaves Yaris believing she’s the perfect girl for him. Setting her sights on him she stops at nothing to get him to notice her. Zay on the other hand isn’t that accepting of her advances. To most, age isn’t nothing but a number. However, when it comes to Zay age is much more than a number; it’s a level of maturity. A man of his stature should have a girl that's on the same level. In Zay’s eyes Yaris' age stops her from reaching the tip of the level he’s on.

Fast money, fast ass & the thrill of the streets is what Ji lives for. It's nothing for him to get what he wants. He mistakenly takes Yarah as being another notch in his belt but quickly learns she's not that type of girl. His bad boy demeanor attracts her, and her good girl essence attracts him. These two are a match made in hood heaven but nothing that’s perfectly matched comes without problems.

She’s My Lil Hood Thang is a tale about finding the one you love during the good times and sticking with them through the bad times. As stated before not everything that glitters is gold but when you have a love as deep as the Nile river how could you not see the diamonds in the eyes of the one you love?

Kellz Kimberly 24, fell in love with urban fiction after reading 'Baby Girl' by Jihad. The was only the first of many urban fiction novels she fell in love with. Eventually Kellz took her love for reading it and redirected it to a pen & paper. Dropping her first book in 2014 Kellz Kimberly has been building a name for herself ever since. With 27 books under her belt & 9 of them being Amazon Urban Fiction Number One Best Seller, Kellz Kimberly is just getting started.

She is slowly but surly taking the Urban fiction world over by storm. She recently took home the AAMBC BreakOut Author of The Year award, solidifying her as a force to be reckon with. This is only the start for Kellz Kimberly, she is always working and coming with new material to give readers then same feeling she got when she read her first urban fiction book.

Not only is she an author but she is a publisher as well. She works with her authors to help them pursue their dreams and encourages them to tell their story in a form of another story.

At only 24 she has accomplished a lot but she's nowhere near done with her list of goals. For her writing is so much more than just telling a story. It's about being able to have a reader full in love with a set of characters so much that they feel invested in the book. For her that is the greatest feeling of.

The best way to sum up Kellz Kimberly is 'She Writes, She Grinds, She Slays"

I just can't...I don't understand all of the 5 star ratings. This book is horrible. Yarah and Yaris are indecisive and contradict themselves through out the whole book.

Loved it! Def a must read!

Woo child! From the very first time I read one of Kellz Kimberly's books I became an immediate fan. As I finish reading this book I'm quickly reminded of why I love her work. This book...let me tell u...I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! The storyline was on point...it flowed, it was realistic, it was fun, it was action....it was everything. The couples had chemistry that was undeniable. I cried, I laughed... I had so much wow moments....moments I wished I was all up in the book...like literally! After reading this book you would not be disappointed that you chose to read it. When you finish reading you will feel like yes! That was good!....no that was GREAT! Great job Kellz... You will always have a fan in me.. #no1fanfromday1

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great job KK! This book was really good. I could write a 📚 but will say that Yaris, Yarah, and Addy are my girls. I eventually liked Gia too. The sisters went through hell and back from dealing with the stress of their parents to dealing with Zay and Khoji. Ji and Rah had that hood thang going strong. They really balanced each other out. Rah knew better than trying to bring poor Jhalil in the mix. And Yaris ..Kyle was a straight f-boy. I swear I felt every emotion possible. I cried with Gianni over Monty and with Sly over Addy. Mimi disappointed me at times but she really loved them which is not something that can be said about Amelia.

Love

This book gave life Rah had me mad once she started feeling herself and thinking and knows everything and her tantrums and I'm mad it took for her to almost die to realize she needs to change her ways.Yaris posted me off with Gia too like how do you tell the sister of your child father that you are thinking abortion and go missing and not expect her to tell him and now you mad I know loyalty mean everything however like she said she had to be loyal to Yohan first. However all and all this book was great and I love the fact that it was long time well spent

Book was everything

Omg I don't know where to start! I absolutely loved the book. The love ji have for rah was so dope. I was def glad that rah had a transformation but I hated that she was so insecure. I was def rooting and waiting for yaris to way down zay. I'm glad they relationship made it because at times I thought they had came to an end. It was just so many lies and drama in this book it was crazy but I loved every bit of it. This book showed what true love is and what it they means to ride or die. Kellz Kimberly you did an amazing job!

Great read! 🔥

All I can say is WOW! MS. Kimberly you never disappoint! I'm mad it took so much for Rah to see that Ji wasn't cheating on her. Ji was really on his grown man and was really all about Rah. I'm glad Yaris and Zay were able to move past everything and be together frfr. Addy and Sly are GOALS! I adore their bond/relationship. Mimi is foul, but I guess I understand her logic. I was so hoping for Gia and Monty tobget their HEA. Cole, Ray, Kimora and Amelia got what they deserved.

Satisfied Reader

A definite page turner. This book flowed from beginning to end. It brought out emotions. But that's a definition of a good book. Ji,Yara,Yaris, Zay,Sly and Addy can't forget Gia and Monty. I hate the way things went for him by someone he thought was a friend. Cole was heartless. Mimi had her claws in him real good. Mimi wasn't as bad the more I read about her. She only wanted the best for her girls. Cuz Amelia was a poor excuse

💛

This was such a good book and because it was a standalone it made it so much better. Sometimes waiting for different parts of books takes away from the book itself because your trying to remember the details from the previous book. I do need a book on Gia though she deserves her a happy ending

5 star read for sure

Listen this book was so fuckin good and long. I hate these lil flimsy weak ass books, but Kellz you did your thing with this ! Fav book of the year. Loved how you let your characters develop and nothing felt forced or rushed. You need to do standalones more often. Definitely your forte !

So look. I don't even know where to start or begin. I fucks with this book the long way. If there where anything bad to say I honestly don't think I can. The book was long and worth it. It made you fall in love, it made you cry. In the end she dropped so much knowledge it made you think about life. I loved this book and would reread it anytime, day or night!!

This book was so lengthy and good. From start to finish. Yarah and Yaris were a trip, but you had to love them. They both had a lot of growing up to do, and they proved themselves in the end. Im glad that Mimi turned out not to be a bad person in the end. Ji was crazy but he meant no harm. No questions went unanswered in this book.

Just wow

I'm speechless. That was a damn good book. It was very lengthy and that's what we want in books. I can totally say that I didn't want it to end. It was like we were apart of the family and whole crazy union. Even though there are a few editing issues it doesn't take away from the fact that this book deserves way more than 5 stars. I loved it.

4 1/2 stars for me

This was a very good read to me, but for some reason, Rah and Ris both were almost unlikable to me. Both of them got on my nerves, but I admired Rah's strength at the same time. Ji was daddy but he got on my nerves too...This is the first time I didn't love everybody in a Kellz book but as usual it was well written and flowed in my opinion.

Wow .. Mind Blow I have only read the preview of this book but it was Amazing it kept me on the edge to keep reading to the next page. Sadly I can't find out what happens next with Khoji and Yarah or Zayvion and Yaris. Hopefully, I will find out soon. If someone buys the book for me. But its a really good book and I will recommend it to teenagers and young adults.

Awesome Standalone

This was a great standalone. You really got the word count up on this one. There was drama but not to the point where it overshadow the storyline or the love rather in the storyline.

Way too long

The story was really really dragged up. I skipped a few pages cause it was repetitive. Otherwise it was a good read but took me way too long to read because it was so long. The longest stand alone I ever read.

Page Turner!

Kellz never disappoints, I couldn't put this book down. I loved how the characters grew into their own. There were some really good twist , and some areas that made me sad. But the book was overall a great read. I love standalone novels.

S M L G T

This is the first book I have ever read where I couldn't stand two of the main characters. Yaris and Yarah got in my nerves with their back and forth drama. Nobody should be that troublesome and they had good guys. Neither of the guys were liars or womanizers. I had to put the book down numerous times because the Y-s got on my nerves. Kelly , please don't bring them back. On the other hand, loved Khoji, Zay, Gia, Addy, Monty, and Sly. Also didn't like Mimi. Good book other than the main characters being so annoying.

Ohhhhhhh my!!!

I loved this ish from start to finish. I was like yess and noooooo the entire time. It was so realistic and relateable. Its so dang sad and true, that you cannot trust family. Especially the ones who created and brought us into this world, sadly.

A Good Read

A little too long but interesting. Just on the fringe of being boring. Amelia was not mother material at all. The b.s. that she put her girls through was never fully explained. What about Ray and Amelia? Not fully explained.

Woman vs Women…
This was a struggle to get through with all the issues, missing words, then add on that the story took a plunge to being silly it really didn’t come close to being ready to be put out. Someone should’ve read this beforehand because it’s borderline garbage.

Too long

This book was long and drawn out, it took me forever to read it and I skipped a lot of chapters. Yarah was annoying I couldn’t connect with her at all. Maybe this book is for someone in their adolescence
