Leonie is falling in love with her teacher... who is also a Catholic priest. Can it get any more forbidden?
Gabriel entered the priesthood after a betrayal left him bitter about women and committed to a life of celibacy. But when he ends up teaching at a boarding school in the UK and meets troubled, beautiful American student Leonie, he wonders if he can keep his vows...
Falling From Grace is a hot romance that's both sexy and heart-warming.
Noël Cades writes sizzling hot forbidden romance and Regency romance.
Major themes include:
* Regency Romance Noël's first historic romance, "The Substitute Bride" (2017) features an arranged marriage with a twist: identity swap. Noël's second historic romance, also with an authentic Regency setting, is "Teaching His Ward" (2019).
* Student Teacher Romance Noël's first novel, "Forbidden Lessons" (2014) and its sequel "Forbidden Study" (2016), were inspired by old schoolfriends and the teacher crushes and secret boyfriends they had at boarding school. In "French Kissing" (2015) a student falls in love with her teacher as they take part in a musical theatre production. In "His Model Student" (2016), a devastatingly sexy artist seduces his student.
* Religious Temptation In "Tempting Her Teacher" (2016) Catholic school teacher Carl Spencer faces a crisis of faith when he falls for his student Juliet. Stepping up the forbidden even more, in "Falling From Grace" (2017) Catholic priest Gabriel fights his growing love and desire for beautiful American student Leonie.
* Sports/Celebrity Romance "Summer's Edge" (2014) is a coming-of-age forbidden romance between a student and a devastatingly attractive sports coach, set in the era of free parties. In "Man of the Match" (2015) a woman falls in love with the England cricket captain.
As well as being a writer of romance, Noël is a huge reader of romance, with favourite genres including Regency romance, Vintage romance (Mills & Boon, Harlequin), Gothic romance and Student-Teacher romance.
I finished reading it in a few hours and I swear to God, I'm in love with Noël Cades' books!!!!! I probably sound like a japanese school girl in love when I say this, but I don't care!
In my opinion it was as good as "Summer's Edge" which is my favorite of all times in this genre (student/teacher) by the author.

Well and to the review now... I rated it 5 stars because it has it all: love, desire, angst, fear of getting caught, friendship, blackmail, you name it!
Leonie is forced by her grandmother to leave her home in Boston, US for a scandalous thing she did and attend a private all-girls boarding school in England. On her first day she encounters Father Gabriel and sparks fly (among other things, such as her teddy bear and belongings).
Problem is, he's a priest sworn to celibacy who's also a teacher at her school and is a few years older than her (7 to be exact as you'll find out through reading). Is it enough for you?
Over the course of time, Leonie and Gabriel get to know each other over classes and a play that the school is putting on where Gabriel is director and Leonie acts as a main character; and realize that they're falling in love with each other, which leaves Father Gabriel with a heavy conscience and a decision to be made.
Gabriel's conflict is described profoundly and it is clear that he agonizes himself with the question: to leave priesthood or to leave Leonie? In the meantime, Leonie has some struggles of her own. She's dreaming of becoming an actress while her parents and grandmother are opposed to the idea of acting as a respectable and profitable career path.
Add to all this a jealous b*thchy girl names Suki and Leonie's faithful friends and roommates: Harry (Harriet) the captain of the Girls Lacrosse team; funny, straight-forward and vivacious Mai; and kind Figgy (Iphigenia).

To me it seems as though Leonie didn't care much about the fact that Gabriel is a priest and is having to choose between priesthood and her. It seemed to me as though her feelings on the matter were too shallow, where as Gabriel's feelings were described much more in depth. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Gabriel's character was deeper than Leonie's. Like all she cared about was acting and having a crush on Gabriel. She was more shallow in my opinion, like a stereotypical American blonde bimbo.
Where as Gabriel had interests beside priesthood, such as poetry. The use of poetry in this book was genius, in my opinion, and Leonie and Gabriel's correspondence was sweet and lovely. Thank heaven they didn't have cellphones at the time because it would only ruin the magic of it all. Having only telephone and mail as means of communication is great! It was same with Summer's Edge. Progress killed romance! lol.
Ignoring that and of course don't forget the smutty scenes and the HEA (duh), this all results in one hell of a good book!!! I can't wait for the author's next book to be published!
Another amazing novel from Noel Cades! Similarly to Tempting Her Teacher, I was hesitant to read this novel, but as it was Noel’s I decided to give it a go, particularly after reading Tempting Her Teacher and loving it so much.
Being a priest, Gabriel has a harder time (excuse the pun) with resisting his attraction to Leonie than Carl did in Tempting Her Teacher. This just added to the sexiness of the novel. I love that he tries not to break his vows to the church, as it adds to the suspense and we truly see how passionate he is about Leonie. I imagine that almost any other author of a student/teacher romance would have had him break his vows way before Noel did for Gabriel.
Gabriel is just a lovable character. Truly devote to his religion, but also the the beautiful girl he falls in love with. His bravery and chivalry when Leonie gets stuck in the storm, but also how he confides in Father Stephen. Father Stephen is a wonderful character who, despite his beliefs, helps a friend going through a difficult time. Their friendship is key to making this story so successful.
Leonie is also a lovable character, not at all you’re typical American school girl. I love her relationship with Mai, Figgy and Harry, the way that they are so down to earth despite their titles as “The Honourable Iphigenia Davenport” (Figgy) and “Lady Harriet Venn” (Harry).
Overall, one of the most AMAZING books I’ve read on Wattpad, despite my initial thoughts. Well done Noel!

3.00 Stars. (WW/WM). Kindle e-book. Forbidden. The hero, Gabriel Knight, is both a priest and teacher at an all girls school in England where the heroine, Leonie, is a senior. Due to misbehavior, Loeonie's grandmother insisted that she repeat her senior year in an all girls English school to receive a formal more principled education than she received in America. Father Gabriel and Leonie meet on her first day when she dropped some of belongings, they had an instant connection according to the author. It amazes me how soon a devote man of the cloth advocates his faith for lust. This story followed a predictable path... Leonie and the priest can't overcome the power of lust/love; so, they secretly scratch each others sexual itches, an antagonist exposes their affair; but romantic love overcomes agape love and the couple get their happy ending. Storyline aside, the writing was awful; but, I didn't feel any real loving chemistry between the two and could not root for their happy ever after.
