"The Golden Lie" by B.M. Hardin

My Thoughts...

This is definitely one of those reads that you will not want to put down until the end. The story will be filled with so many lies that you will simply have to keep up with all of its twist and turns. I found all of the characters simply off the chart bringing so much to this story that will have you shaking your head and saying wow...I didn't see that one coming. At the end I was left wondering just who the truthful person was in this read. There was so much damage that had been done would there be a any room for a healing? I will only say this author has done it again and that is given the readers another good read.

The Golden Lie

The Golden Lie is my first time reading from B.M. Hardin. I decide to give this author chance to read her book. This book is a good. This author did a good job. It’s well written and the storyline is on point. There are lot of dramatically problems. The storyline is also a piece of art.

I have learned from reading this book. Ya Ya and the rest of characters have their own issues. Each of them have been lies, cheating, mistreated and etc. I’ll definitely continue to support and read more books from this author.

Good read:

2.5 Stars ⭐️: With the gorgeous cover and captivating synopsis I was confident that this book would be a banger, but unfortunately it did not give what I thought it would. There were a few grammatical errors, which I was able to look past, but I could not overlook the fact that there were so many plot holes! The “plot twist” at the end was predictable and in some ways made very little sense. I was left with more questions than answers. This book had great potential but it fell short for me. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Bravo, kudos & all that!
Once again, the mysterious mind of BM had me reading a winner! ! The suspense was getting to me so I finished it rather quickly. YaYa had me nervous at times although she was a bit clever. The cover, contents & characters were top notched. And of course the storyline was twisted & unpredictable...but with a message. Loved it! Highly recommended book!

Dakota and YaYa Ramsey have been married for many years. They have two young sons to raise. YaYa finds out her hubby is having an affair with her best friend's sister, Chanel. Chevey is the twin sister. Then Chanel becomes pregnant but is not sure who's the daddy. YaYa and Jerome (Chanel's hubby) decide to set their spouses up for murder after finding out about the affair. A murder-for-hire goes awry and the wrong twin is killed. Dakota is arrested for the murder and given 76 months in prison. Not knowing his mom is the mastermind behind the killing and wanted her son to pay for his foolishness.
There are lots of twist and turns in this suspenseful novel. I recommend this read.

WOW

This book has the right title because everyone was lying and hiding secrets. Just when you think all the lies was out in the opening. There was more being uncovered. Yaya has been with her husband for year's but knew when something within him had changed. When she decided to search for the truth. She ending up finding out more than she bargained for and was in for a shock. Especially when she thought she knew everything only to find out there was more. Dakota had bitten off more than he could chew. He didn't know that his wife had find out about his dirty little secret or should I say secrets until everything blew up in his face. Chevey was stuck in the middle of telling her best friend the truth or keeping her sister lie hidden but in the end it costed her regardless. Chanel was selfish and didn't think of the consequences of her actions until it was too late. Kenny was a little off. Something about him didn't seem right to me. He was a bit obsessive. Jerome was too calm for a person that had found out about what his wife was up too. I knew he had a scandalous side to him.

The Golden Lie Is GOLDEN!!!!

I absolutely love BM Hardin's creative mind and her style of writing. On to the book. YaYa, was like any woman and once scorned we all want revenge, however she took hers to another level. Still,I really liked her character despite what she did with Jerome. Dakota, as sexy as he is will always be a cheater. His level of morality wasn't surprising. He slept with his wifes bestfriend twin sister, and on top of that he was in love with the wifes bestfriend. I loved that this book wasn't predictable which made it quite enjoyable to read. A very good read!

The dedicated wife, the spoiled husband....

Yaya Ramsey has prided herself on being the perfect wife. But as they say sometimes your best is just not good enough. Tired of giving her all she tries to find out what the problem might be . When you go looking you will sure enough find that Dakota is full lies.

There is nothing like a women scorned and Yaya is on the path of rage. Will it all be worth it in the end?

Although this book kept my attention . It lacked description and character development .Some stuff also reminded me of The Good Listener . I will try another book by this author.

I literally just realized that this is the 3rd book I’ve read by B.M. Hardin, and there’s a few things about this author that I can’t seem to get with. First, her plots are enjoyable but also flat out ridiculous in how they unfold. The way things happen in this book and her other books are entertaining but also just so unbelievable. Secondly, this author seems to just ignore character development and description. I never know how any of the characters look, or how their surroundings look, and it’s a huge disappointment. This book was fast paced and an easy read because every other page was a twist and turn, but as far as depth goes, it was severely lacking

Do unto others what you want done to you

I thought this was a very well written book I really enjoyed it I like the way it ended because you know what a lot of this is going on between marriages wives cheating on husbands and husbands cheating on their wives. .it is all wrong and it right treat the person the way you want to be treated no one wants to be treated in a bad way because you know what somebody gets hurt and that's what happened somebody got hurt in the end yes this book had a good lesson in it to be heard by many who are going through some type of situation as this

Excellent Read!

I really enjoyed reading this book! It never pays to cheat on the one person you pledge your vows to! I believe everyone who reads this book will enjoy it and possibly keep them from doing the same thing! I had to put myself in Chevey's position, Would I have told my best friend that her husband was being unfaithful and took the chance of being in the middle of something messy? I think I would have kept it to myself because something like that could backfire on you and you can be blamed on trying to break their relationship up. I recommend this book to everyone!

B.M. Hardin

Just like every other book by this author, I was on the edge of my seat. I loved all the twist and turns. Yaya had me laughing with her pettiness, but who could blame her considering everything Dakota did. And that Chanel had me mad with all her lies but Karma reared its ugly head at her. Poor Chevey I hated how things ended for her. And Yaya's mother in law, I loved her. She didn't defend her son when he was wrong she refused to condone what he was doing. This was an all around great book and I highly recommend it.

Hot like 🔥

BM Hardin knows that she can write he y'all off. When I tell you I didn't see Momma Ramsey's truth coming. I know she admitted to what she did, but not the who. SAVAGE! I was also shocked that Ya ya confessed. Kenny was a straight cool. Chevey didn't need that in her orbit, but I hate that it happened to her. I was upset that Chanel and Jerome got away without anything happening to them, but it all worked out for Yaya. I hope that forgiveness and art work pays off for her marriage when Dakota gets released. Great job lady. I truly enjoyed this read as always.

Ohmygoodness!!

I must say this was great, kept me wanting more to the point I couldn't put it down. Well written & the storyline just flowed. Dakota was so wrong & proud of him for stepping up in the end. Felt bad for Yaya because she lost a lot that day, even though she was in on it. Still wondering what part Mrs. Ramsey played in the fateful day that wouldn't have happened without her. I have never bmp disappointed with any of B.M. Hardin's books and I'm anxiously waiting for the next one. 👏💯

This was very entertaining 🤥🤥Yaya is the "always there" wife. She keeps everything ready, food house clean, sex, etc. But unfortunately, she discovers her husband is cheating on her. Instead of confronting him she keeps it to herself & decided she will spy on him which only makes her angrier. She doesn't know if she can deal anymore so she comes up with a plan with a lil help from an unlikely partner who is also being cheated on. The plan goes really wrong and now everything is looking down

Speechless

I have no words! The suspense of this book, much like all of BM’s other work, has kept me intrigued! I would advise everyone into suspense to read her whole catalog. You won’t be disappointed. Now on to my review....Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is a golden rule. But what happens in this book after a man steps out on his wife with “the other woman” and gets caught is mind blowing! I felt like a fly on the wall reading this book. It was so realistic! Great job BM Hardin!

Talcum bout mad!

This book y'all. Talking about making you mad. Whew this was Crazy! But in real life this what we do, we go all the way around the block to cross the street. Yaya was in her head too much therefore she was not thinking logically. Talking about messing everything up is a understatement. But I hurriedly read on to see what happens next and all I can say to you readers is brace yourself.

Everybody Lies!!

Where do i begin. This book has all kinds of twist and turns. These characters will take you on a wild ride. I enjoyed the way Dakota showed his love in the end. I think there could be more to this story if the author wants to do a book two,(hint hint)!! I highly recommend this book.

The Golden Lie

Lawd! BM has done it again. Lies, lies and more lies. Dakota had everything that he needed at home but it just wasn't enough for him. And when he decided it was unfortunately it was too late. The damage had been done. Chanal was just evil. I felt bad that Chevey ended up in the middle of all of Chanal's mess. Kenny definitely had some screws loose & so did Kodak.

Do unto others only what You want done unto you!

Wow... This book has me speechless. At first I felt had for Chevey but in the end I realized that she's in a better place than with Kenny. Everyone needs a mother in law like Yaya had. She knew Dakota was no good due to his father's actions. Hopefully these 76 months will help Dakota appreciate his family.

Great Job B.M.

Do unto others....

Ms. Hardin has done it again. The golden lie was definitely an entertaining read. Infidelity, lust, betrayal and love were just a few of the issues in this well written novel with so many lessons hidden in plain sight. It was enjoyable and should be added to your summer reading list.

Happy Reading,

She did it again

The twists and turns in this book are Ms Hardin's signature writing style. How she keeps doing it over and over is beyond me. I thoroughly enjoyed this tale of a cheating husband and a revenge plot gone awry. Excellent read. Makes you think twice of dishonoring those wedding vows!!

Pure Excitement & Suspense

An awesome piece of work delivered by Ms Hardin. A suspenseful page turner that will have you on edge & your interest piqued until the last sentence of the last paragraph on the final page. With more plot twists than you can shake a stick at, you will NEVER guess what's coming next. This book was AWESOME!

Excellent Read

The golden rule is a life long lesson for us all. You have to do right by those you love because what goes around comes back around. It is love that definitely makes you do crazy things from telling lies, to cheating, to murder. The author uses morals and values to get this message across to her readers throughout the book. B.M. Hardin did an amazing job!
