The Comet Clement Collection includes Books 1-4 in the series!
Book 1 - The Inner Circle
1908... Siberia... A tiny comet rips through Earth's atmosphere and explodes above the Tunguska region of Siberia, instantly engulfing thousands of square acres of the mostly desolate region. The explosion is heard for hundreds of miles, the light of the comet seen halfway across the globe. Had the comet hit a few hours earlier in a more populated area, millions would have been killed...
A century later, another comet - this one hundreds of times bigger and more powerful - encounters a black hole in deep space and is pushed onto a new, deadly course leading straight to Earth...
A small group of humans - including the President of the United States, a former astronaut and a middle school science teacher - discovers the existence of this potentially deadly comet and keep its existence hidden from the rest of the world. Although the group - which calls itself the Inner Circle - has twelve years to deal with the problem, they will need every second of that time. Not only must they figure out a way to avert this crisis, they must also start to make plans in case they can't avoid a catastrophe that could annihilate humankind...
Book 2 - Interception
The Inner Circle's plans to deflect the comet are in place but Neil Peterson's long journey to intercept Clement faces serious tests...
The president is embattled in a bitter re-election attempt and knows that losing could lead to the comet secret being exposed to the world...
NASSA's plans to build the biggest space station for 'scientific purposes' are put into effect...
Earl Ackerman's paranoia leads him to making rash decisions about the secret that's slowly destroying the little sanity he has left...
The secret can't stay hidden forever...
Book 3 - The New Space Race
Plans continue to move forward on the space station, which draws the ire of the country, but the Inner Circle won't be deterred from preparing for the worst...
Tyler Ainsworth Jr. has learned of the secret and begins to make plans for his own massive shelter, this one to be in the ocean depths instead of the heavens...
The president exchanges information about the comet with Russia for help on the station and Russia plans for their own safe haven deep in the mountains...
A new American leader emerges who does not seem to share the Inner Circle's passion for constructing the space station...
Another country enters the race to build a space station unlike anything humankind has ever seen...
Book 4 - The Three Arks
With a new president in office - and an apprehensive new ally in the Inner Circle - the men planning for the end of the world face new struggles. Will the space station be finished in time? How will they get passengers on board the space station without giving away the secret of Comet Clement?
Tyler Ainsworth faces his own troubles with his seacraft. He needs more money to complete his boat but doesn't want to go to the Inner Circle for fear of losing even more control. How will he raise the funds? Can he maintain control of his seacraft's ownership? Will his high-class passengers lose their patience while waiting for the end of the world?
The underground facility deep in the Ural Mountains seems to face the least amount of problems and some of the space station'

This collection includes the first four books in the Comet Clement series. This does end on a cliffhanger and to find out what happens you need to read the rest of the series.
I was excited about this series when I first started it but the longer I read the more annoyed I became. I wish they had a Readers Digest condensed version of this saga. I was 42% thru this series when I started to speed read through the pages. I’m truly not sure if I want to continue reading to find out what happens. I used to say that Stephen King wrote a book by the inch not by the paragraph. This author seems to do the same. Where a paragraph would suffice, you get a chapter instead. Also, he ends a book leaving you hanging so you have to buy the next book. I absolutely hate that. Tie up the loose ends for Pete’s sake. UGH. The story is interesting, it’s just that you have to slog thru all the side stories to get the actual story. I feel like I’ve tortured myself for days. Then I come to find out I’ve only read the first four of an eleven book series and the damn comet has still not hit the earth. Seriously!!! This is like slogging through the Lord of the Rings but worse. Can’t take anymore
This seemed to go on forever. Full of American arrogance - apparently, no other world government is capable of keeping a secret from the public - and their saving of “humanity” (Americans).
And honestly, at the end of these books we’re just three months off impact and NO ONE, not one astronomer, professional or amateur, anywhere in the world, has spotted a fecking great comet heading our way? Really? Yeah, right....
There’s no consideration given to the mental health impact that would be placed on sending one, lone person on a four year, no return mission to deflect the comet; he’s just expected “not to let anyone down” - never mind that he’s effectively in solitary for four years, no one to talk to, nothing to really do, nowhere to go, knowing he’ll never see Earth again.
And the space station - it seems no one thought of making it spin to give the effect of gravity and therefore help everyone’s health. How long do they plan to be up there? What plans are in place for babies to be born, if they’re planning of being there for years? Have they saved any farmers for when they return to Earth? If not, who’s going to grow crops, the scientists?? (This all applies to the boat, too.)
It kept me just interested enough to finish it, but I don’t think I’ll be bothering with the rest, tbh. Just thankful this was free and I didn’t waste money on it!

I enjoyed the characters in this series very much. They are very real. Some you will love to hate; others, you will truly want to be happy and achieve their dreams. Although the plot is very similar to that of numerous novels and movies, Kevin George approaches the story line in an interesting way. However, I only gave this collection three stars because the author takes so long to move the plot along. At times, I found myself skipping entire paragraphs or pages. What is billed as the first four books of the series came across as four long chapters, not books. I'm not sure thisI will be buying the rest of the collection ...even though I would love to know what happens to the main characters in the end.
Books 1 - 4, 2 books too long. I read the first book and thought great story, can't wait to see where this goes, but unfortunately it went down hill from there. Far too much irrelevant information, side stories that seemed pointless and didn't add to the flow and I'm afraid I skipped a lot of book 4 just to get to the end to see what happened. It became pretty clear you were not going to either. When I finally reached the end (phew, thank God, I thought) I discovered there were another 5 books. No thanks, think I will give that a miss. Much of the story could have been condensed down, far too much unnecessary detail.
Well, I loved this series! Yes, it was somewhat predictable as it does involve a cataclysm and the saga of people trying to survive and overcome... but that defines a pre, during, and post-apocalyptic premise and how else would you do it?
I loved how fleshed-out the characters became. I knew I would miss these people when the series ended and I had to move on. This author gave the players such a wide range of types and abilities, flaws and talents, that it was interesting to watch them grow.
I will read anything Mr. George writes, and I'm looking forward to going on the next adventure with him.
Great story idea, but it is taking forever to tell it. Through Books 1-4, and the earth shattering disaster has not yet occurred/ Character development is a little too detailed and drawn out in many circumstances, uses up a lot of page space. Like others who reviewed, I found myself speed-reading and skipping thru a lot of character background and what I felt was useless info not germane to story. I will get at least the next two books in the series because the author left us hanging at the end of book 4.
I really enjoyed this 4-book package of the Comet Clement series. Kevin George did an excellent job developing characters and subplots to build the story. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. One criticism -- the editing got sloppy in the latter stages of the fourth book. Lots of silly typos that should have been caught. For me, this detracts from the story. It's like the editor got lazy. I hope this got fixed as the rest of the series progresses.
It was a real pleasure to discover a new author who writes a real novel that captured my attentions and keeps the story line entertaining for the entire book. (Not a short story that only takes a day or two to read). I can’t imagine a world in danger of extinction from a natural disaster and nowhere to go. Very interesting cast of characters. I highly recommend this book. It’s a page turner
Come on, no one on earth knew that this comet was coming. No one saw a big light and tail in the sky a year before it got (if it did). I should have look to see how many books there were before starting. Very long and boring. Skip many pages of useless dialog. Also, after four books and no comet. Enough. Four books could have been or of two at the most. Don't waste your time.
It's a good book with a good story but it's got so many drawn out stories in these books that it almost gets to the point of boring to me. By the time you read these four books you don't want to have to read four more to find out what did or did not happen. Well I don't anyway. I'm sure there are a lot of readers that will be glued to this set of books from start to finish. I was for a couple books but then my interest was getting lost.
Very exciting, good interplay between the charactors in the book.
This one kept my interest up. I thought that the interplay between the characters in the book were very good. However, I recently finished another free series by another author. He was able to leave me hanging and have to buy 3 additional books. And I still haven't found out how it ended. So I was somewhat prepared for the ending. Good read but be prepared to buy 6 additional books to see how it ends.
The four book series covered 15 years with a very important ending focus for the reader. That's just it, after 4 books the story should end.......now. I'm not sure how, but that is up to the author. If the the four book series wasn't so intriguing, I would give a one star for the abrupt finish. If I had known this ending was to happened I would have quit at the beginning. The four book series was intriguing but not that intriguing to have continued.
The plot is intriguing. George begins quickly and gets the reader placed in the story and what is happening. However, it is a complicated plot with many characters and strings. Each character has to have their personal story told and that gets tedious. I didn't make it half-way through before I gave up because it seemed I made no progress in the story. That was a disappointment because I wanted to know the ending and when reading an e-book, it isn't so easy to flip to the back of the book.
I really enjoyed the first four books in the comet Clement series. I could really imagine how this could happen. We have already had one comet in history which caused the ice age to happen, so there is a possibility that it could happen again. The imagery in the story is very well written. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
This book was great! Everything happening to do many different characters makes you want to continue reading even when you, by necessity, have to take a break. Exciting occurrences and wondering where you will be next makes this book nd wondering what will happen next makes this a must read book..
This is by far one of the best book series I’ve read in quite a while. The story had my attention from the first page until the end! Ive stayed up late nights reading because I just couldn’t put the book down. I highly recommend it. Thank you Kevin George for a great read!
Good story, cliffhanger ending, earlier parts enjoyable
John and his friend Colin go through their young years with difficulty. John with a rich widower father and Colin with a poor construction worker father. In addition, Wesley Maddox from a space engineering firm and two presidents of the USA are put together in a story that keeps the reader involved.
The discovery of a comet was good news, until it's trajectory changes and it heads to Earth. Suddenly a means of escape must be built, to save some of humanity. Threaded throughout the books are the stories of individuals, in some way connected to the comet or the building of the 3 arks, in space, underground and in the seas. Fab read
I downloaded this book, but now I wish I hadn't. There were some silly omissions, such as sending a few books instead of a fully loaded kindle with a man who would be alone for five years. Worse, the book ended very abruptly with no mention of a sequel or anything.
Hurricane Florencenjust passed last week while I am read I g this book. What if you would never have electricity ever again? What if your world changed forever over night? OMG they still have like 3 months. Don't tell me when it is so.ing. I don't want to know.
The only critical comment I have is with the date-countdown, I felt it was a bit out of date. That being said that is the only negative comment I have. This is a great " world ending " series, plenty of hard science with well done characters.
Well thought-out epic story of impending doom with secrets, personality battles and complex issues that really make you wonder what if... Greatly fleshed-out characters with the intrigue you would expect with a tale this complex. Loved every word of it.
Good read..The characters were interesting and believable. There was so much emotions going on. I would hate a character in one chapter and pity them in the next. A page turner.
This book diverts from the main plot too many times with meaningless subplots only to end without disclosing what actually happened to the Earth. The entire 4 books are disappointing. Thumbs Down.
This is one brilliant series. The characters are well thought out and the story is great but I’m getting tired of series that are not stand alone books. Really the whole series should be either one novel or books that can be read on their own.
I didn't like books 1-4 as much as I hoped that I would. There's a lot of excess info and details that detracted from the story, at least for me. The hard science portion though was great and I did really enjoy reading about the Arks.
I like the concept, but they were so long and drawn out. They were mostly dialogue with little to keep your interest. I read to the end just because I hate to end a series, but honestly, I kept reading just because I wanted to know what happened to certain people.
