Rate this book
This winter cozy mystery series can be read in one to two hours. It is perfect for those moments when you are waiting at an appointment or want to enjoy a quick read.
After battling with a deadly British Intelligence Agent in her small town of Snow Falls, Alaska, Sarah Garland is grateful that her life is returning back to normal. At least on the outside. Struggling with writer's block and personal pain over her divorce, Sarah knows that a storm is raging inside of her heart. When her new friend, Conrad Spencer, shows up one morning and asks her to travel to Minnesota with him to help him investigate the death of a close friend, Sarah fears a brewing storm capable of capturing everyone she cares about.
After arriving in Minnesota, Sarah is greeted by flooding rain, a condemned hotel, a deadly man who controls the local Chief of Police, two deadly killers, and a series of strange and dark questions that leads her from one rainy corner to another as she chases down the truth. But when the truth manifests itself, Sarah is forced into a dangerous corner filled with razor sharp characters, each deadly in their own way. But as Sarah fights her way out of the corner, she realizes that anger and pain were the responsible characters behind all the faces appearing in the case.
Will Sarah find the truth and save her friends from the grip of a darkness that she herself is afraid to face? Or will she stand strong as the cold Minnesota rain slowly turns into snow as the case unravels?

This adventure has our three friends traveling to Minnesota. Conrad has received word that an old buddy of his from a gang when they were kids was killed. Danger awaits as they travel into a state where even the police chief and state officials have been bought. No one can be trusted so how in the world they are going to help avenge his friend, you'll just have to read and see!

This was a wild ride through rainy and snowy Minnesota but the three friends used their brains and good sense to get themselves out of jams and once again solve a very crazy murder. I am really loving this friendship, these three are pretty funny when they're not on duty.

A fairly creepy last paragraph is the lead-in to the next mystery! Ok Kindle Unlimited, I'm coming back for the next book.

During this installment of the Alaska Cozy Mysteries we join Sarah, Conrad and Amanda as they travel to Minnesota to ferret out details on who killed Conrad's childhood friend. While in Minnesota they are harassed by the town mayor and his thugs as they uncover the truth. I love these quick cozies in the morning. 🖤

A very entertaining author.

I gave this book a five star rating because I've read 1, 2, and 3 , basically I'm giving all the books a 5 stars. Wendy Meadows is an excellent writer, very good clean books, and happy endings. The mysteries are well thought out and intelligently written with eye to detail and a twist here and there to keep you wanting more. I really wish I had written reviews for all of them. I do recommend that if you choose these books, start with book one and follow the series. Must go! I'm off to find more of her books! 😊

Sarah ,Conrad and Amanda round up the bad guys

Enjoyed the story. It is a complicated mystery and Conrad asks the ladies to help him solve a murder of his best friend . Unfortunately unsavory, cold characters arrive and you don’t know who to trust. Read and find out who is trouble. And who is being forced to do or wife gets hurt. Guns pointing from all different characters. How someone gets a new job in Snow Falls Alaska .

Very good read

Definitely a 5 star read. Conrad, Sarah,, and Amanda need to travel out of Alaska to help Mickey, a good friend of Conrads who is in serious trouble. Little did they know of the danger and intrigue awaiting them. Very good, solid plot with well defined characters. This read will leave you on the edge of your seat.Loved this book.

Quirky

This is the fourth book I have read in this series and they are lovely. However, they are quirky also. Such as all of the women wear skirts or dresses. I haven’t read anything else by this author so I don’t know if this is just in this series. Also the characters are adorable! I love Amanda and the fun she brings to the book.

Third book in the series I've read, which all seem to rush the plot. The characters leap to conclusions without real detective work, but magically seem to still be the right investigate path. This book's plot was slightly better than the others, but the inexcusable fat-jokes prevented it from gaining any more stars. Overall, would not recommend.

The web of lies we weave

Fabulous! The death of a friend had our three sleuths racing off. Why was he killed? Why is someone trying to run them out of town? A complicated series of events has them suspecting everyone. A terrific 4th book and so far none of the plots are the same. Great!

Anything for friendship

Details. In the last book a kitty was found but nothing. Payment exchanged hands yet no work got done. Other than that enjoyed the story. Enjoy the characters yet still don't understand how two civilians get away with doing a cop's job.

Okay but predictable

This was my as good as the last one in the series. It was just okay. I knew from the start what the big plot twist would be so not really a surprise at all. Its just okay in an okay series.

Great book. Short on a bit of information. Like where's the kitten and did things get straightened our with Ali's mother. I however did enjoy the book. Nice short cozy to clear the path for a longer book.

The out of town setting was a very nice change. ☺ The plot was good but things got very messed up towards the end. Kinda hard to follow at times but I think I got it figured out. 😊 Good in between books.

Some improvement

Flashes of good writing, and passages of fluff. Tries too hard and then not hard enough.. needs more meaty storytelling....
