“FEAR NOT YE SHALL STILL BE ALIVE AFTER READING THIS” I finally sat down on Tuesday and I was surprised to find that reading this book went quite smoothly (much like drinking a cold drink on a hot day) and I was able to finish the book in less than 30 minutes. The first chapter was excellent…thumbs up for that. The plot was well-developed and since it was a short story, the author did well in not bringing in so many characters. It was easy keep track of what was happening. There were also very few spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and such. This could also account for why the reading went so fast. Alas, to my favorite part, the bad news. First of all, the plot, the characters themselves were not many but the author failed to give any background information on any of them even the main character. And also the plot, I get the whole thing that the main character had to be put through some sort of trial but for Pete’s sake they were in HELL MAN HELL! And the whole time, I didn’t even see any of them even suffer so much as a scratch. And even Big Bad Lucifer could not touch Edward, much less get to him. He could have used the girl but to my utter disappointment….wait for it……HE FORGOT ABOUT HER. Wow, that is weird. And also, how come the son (who is in HELL in case the author had forgotten) manages to escape to a desert where he meets his father and forgives him in just 30 seconds or so. The author rushed the ending in what one of my lecturers would call a premature ejaculation. In fact the whole journey through hell sounded like a stroll down a beach. Sure the author described the place very well, hell is scary and all that but damn, not so much as a scratch… I’d even started to believe the MC might be a god or something at that point, I mean he even had the power to command demons…case in point- the part where he said he would not leave his cell without the girl. I was like really dude, really… The story was not too bad though it didn’t have that much of an impact because of what I just mentioned above. Peace out ……………………
