Surival in man's second dark age
Three hundred years after the fall of society, the last fragments of civilization are clinging to life, living in the ruins of the ancient cities in nearly-medieval conditions. Technology has been reduced to legend, monsters roam the forests, and fear reigns supreme. But that is just the beginning...
The wind-borne spores are spreading, disfiguring men and twisting their minds, turning them into creatures that threaten to destroy the townships. Among the townsfolk, political and the religious, dissension is spreading.
Through it all, a mother must protect her son...

So, humanity survives the zombie apocalypse. What happens next? For the those of us who have long wondered, The Last Survivors series provides a dynamic, dystopian world to explore through the perspectives of a number of complex characters , human and otherwise. While some readers may miss the nonstop gore, scares and action of the usual zombie fare, the authors create a fully imagined, detailed world with a plot that trots along at an engaging pace.
Great character development. Multiple scene locations. Interesting to see a society like ours written about as Ancients. A world returned to no technology.
I really did enjoy these three books. The way each character comes alive. I really like the way the good and the bad worked out. I can hardly wait to read the next book.
EMP/Survival books are usually either really good or really bad. I really liked this series. I loved the characters and I loved how it wasn't just the same thing over and over again. Very realistic and believable.
Read the first three back to back, was recommended for Hunger Games fans and just no. Shouldn’t even be in the same category, sure it’s a dystopian society but wow bad story. Im not sure if it was the story itself or the writing but I just didn’t like it. I still haven’t finished the sixth book, it’s just too hard.
