Finding Fate

First let me say......awesome job with Finding Fate! For this book to be the author's first, I really can't tell it. Very well written and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, never a dull moment! The characters are loveable and hateable, Jensen and Madison have the kind of fire between the two of them that people dream of having. Madison has a secret, that she has been dealing with since high school and I couldn't wait to find out what it was but let me tell you, I was not expecting the situation to turn out like it did, I didn't see that coming at all, so great job in playing that out.
All the scenes were finished and nothing left you hanging, I would like to see book 2, with some of the characters from Finding Fate because there is a loose end that needs to be handle. Overall a very great read, I recommend to all and can't wait to see what Lisa has in store for us next! Trust me, this author is one to watch.......

Lisa is a new author to me . I won a copy of this book in a giveaway. I was so glad that I was introduced to this author. Her writing is amazing. I read this book in one night. It had me hooked right from the beginning and kept me hooked to the end. It was very well written with great detail and depth. Character chemistry was off the charts.
I absolutely love how this started off as a summer romance that ended suddenly but turned into something so much more years later. Jensen is someone that you could easily fall for . His character is amazingly written. I loved how in the end he becomes the hero that you see him as in the beginning. I absolutely loved reading about how things affect him in this book. Madison where do I begin with her character. She is strong stubborn and only gets stronger. I did not like that she kept something from Jensen but in the end I do understand why she does what she does. It makes the story even better.

Madison Parker wants to distance herself from the evil that is controlling her, so she decides to spend a few days at her family's beach house with her best friend Michelle. She will be a senior in high school in the Fall and a short vacation will help her relax. Since they both have fake ID's, Michelle suggests they go to a club so Madison can loosen up and meet a cute guy.
Jensen Beck served in the military, but was injured and had to retire. He is also on vacation with his friends, hoping to hit the bars and check out the girls. He needs to make a decision about his future, and is contemplating a career in law enforcement.

This was an amazing book. What a debut for Lisa Gerkey! This story has it all - love, suspense, plot twists, betrayal, heartbreak, and steamy-ness!!
Madison Parker, at the encouragement of her BFF Michelle, is set to make a parent-free vacation. all about breaking out of her comfort zone and looking for a fling. Jensen Beck is always on the hunt for some temporary fun, and this trip before his new venture as a law enforcement officer is no different. Meeting at a local night club, the sparks fly fast and hard. Why not have some fun, right?
But, can they deny the pull they feel for one another? Can they go their separate ways and leave it to fate to decide if they cross paths again?
Fate indeed intervenes but under the worst circumstances imaginable. Can Jensen focus on the job, when the job is her? Can Maddy ever let down the walls she's put up to let him back in? How will they deal with the one thing that ties them together forever?
I went through a rollercoaster of feels reading this one. I went from saying "awwwww" to saying "Oh no!", to saying " No way!" and saying "awwwww" again.

OH MY WORD!!!
Well let me say what a rollercoaster of emotion this book had me on.....this book is the authors debut book and all I can is what an amazing read!
Madison is a young 17 year old, who goes on vacation with her best friend...at this beach house is where she runs in to Jenson....these 2 have a instant connection to each other and both have a fun few days together.....now fast forward 4 years later and fate has a way of showing her face.....
This whole story had me on the edge of my seat and I honestly was never expecting all the twists and turns it takes....my emotions where all over the place and at times all I wanted to do was cry....my heart broke so many times for these characters.
I loved these characters so much and loved how they worked so well together. This author has a great eye for writing and it shows in this book....she was able to keep me hooked all the way through the book and at times I had to just put the book down to be able to just breathe.....this definitely in my eyes deserves 5 ⭐️ if not more. Fantastic book by a new author and I will look forward to reading anymore books she may bring out.

This debut novel by Lisa Gerkey had me hooked from the very beginning! It had it all, suspense, romance, darkness, steaminess and best of all a happy ever after.
The story starts off when Madison is just a teen and meets Jensen during summer vacation. Four years later both of their lives have changed and fate brings them back together.
I was completely enthralled with this story. There were twists that I never saw coming, and one huge "shut the front door!" moment.
The characters were well developed, and with the flow of the story, I was loving Jensen on e moment and hating him the next. There are supporting characters that I'm looking forward to getting their stories.
I enjoy every moment of this story and am looking forward to more from this up and coming author.

I received this ARC for a honest review. I think for this being the authors first book she did a good job. This story does deal with issues of kidnapping, sexy clubs, betrayal, young love. It's a mix of it all but it works. Jensen and Madison meet on vacation, the chemistry is smoking and one night together is a night they both will never forget. Fate has a way of bringing.these two together years later and a pass Maddy tried to hide for everyone to keep them all safe, she never thought it would be Jensen to save her, but is their love strong enough for them to forgive each other from their pass together or is the hidden truth to much to over come for them to find their happiness together. Grab this book to find out what happens.

I don't even know where to start....
Finding Fate is Lisa Gerkey's debut novel and let me tell you she has left me captivated and wanting more from her.
Lots and lots of emotions ran through me while reading Finding Fate. My heart ached for Madison - to go through what she did just broke me. Then again it also pissed me off because well...you have to read to find out - I don't want to spoil it for you! Jensen, damn he is sexy and I want to keep him for myself. I was rooting for Jensen and Madison from the first time they met. The chemistry between the two was undeniable and hot as all h@ll. Unfortunately LIFE through in a curveball for them both and let's just say it wasn't for the better. To say I was SHOCKED at parts is a complete understatement. They were 100% unexpected and I loved every moment of it.
Jensen and Madison's story is not only hot and sexy it is also jam packed with lots of angst, drama, mystery, romance, love and some crazy stuff that will leave you saying WTH. The need to keep turning the page was continuous from the beginning all the way until the end.
Lisa Gerkey, I loved Finding Fate to pieces. I can't wait for what you have next.

This is book was great from start to finish. This love story will bring out your emotions in a whirlwind storm. This book had me in awe and the suspense was killing me. Can't wait to read the next book.

this book was a first read of yours and i loved it! cant wait for more. its about a young woman who decides to spend some time at the beach house with her best friend. they go out to a club where she meets a hot guy. they spend one wild night together. a few years later she has gone missing . now he must find her before its to late. plus she is keeping a few secrets. you wont believe what happens in this story. thanks quill&ink.

First I was honestly shocked this was a debut novel for this author -
I grabbed the book because I liked the blurb and I was not disappointed
There is absolutely no one playing it safe in this story!

Gerkey starts us out slow - building the characters laying the foundation - little twists and intricate turns slowly build the intrigue - the next thing you know you are turning the last page and looking for more
I really liked the way the story played out - downside is I would have liked for more detail in some of the areas and on the characters
Gerkey did a great job of including the little details that make a story believable and enable the reader to connect with the characters - downside I would have enjoyed more information and background with regards to the "villains" as well as the "heroes"
I will say that since this is the introduction to a series - which I have every intention of following - that I know that a lot of my answers will be answered as we go along

The book has so many sub plots and twists, it's impossible not to gasp and draw breath. Jensen and Madison are great, detailed and deep characters that have their flaws. The storyline was truly gripping and page turning!
There are characters that you can't stand and some grrat heroes but don't be fooled, this book is not for the weak and really has you questioning society!
This book left no stone unturned and gave you all the answers you were looking for. If you thought it was going to be a simple hea then think again! I can't say much more as am desperate not to spoil it but it is definitely as must read!

I received a copy of this book from Quill and Ink review team, and was thrilled that I got one of the many books on my wish list that I couldn't wait to read. Although this book had a great start, I wasn't really into the rest of it. Seeing the Maddy's history was like any normal teenager that has time away from parents, and I didn't connect to her at all.
I love dark stories, and I really thought it would be better. I will keep an eye out for following books and see if the next one will draw me in more.
Overall, the writing was very well written. I found hardly any grammar errors, and I love the cover!

I thought this was over well written. I think if the author takes a little more time to draw out the suspense and flesh out the characters more, this would be an even better read. I felt a lot of the situations were rushed and I wasn't fully able to enjoy the ups, downs, and suspense.
