After countless millions of people silently and mysteriously vanished from the face of the earth—including all small children—in the blink of an eye, the world was plunged into unbridled chaos. In the days following the Rapture of Christ’s Church, the ultimate enemy of God raised up his primary human agent in the flesh to carry out his diabolical mission, Salvador Romanero.
The Miracle Maker, as Salvador Romanero was known throughout the world—after various predictions he’d made had all come true—was about to perform his greatest miracle: bringing peace to a tiny country that had lived in constant fear since its inception, the nation of Israel.
But instead of a peace treaty being signed, Jerusalem fell under a sneak attack on that day. In just six hours, more blood was shed in the streets of the Holy Land than any other 24-hour period in Israel’s turbulent history. Much of the city was in shambles. Smoke smoldered from buildings.
The most notable was the Dome of the Rock. The Muslim shrine that was constructed in Jerusalem back in the 7th century now lay in ruins. Muslims all over the world mourned bitterly. Mourning very quickly turned into outrage when Salvador Romanero announced to the world that the Dome of Rock would never be rebuilt.
Hundreds of thousands of Muslims flooded the Holy Land seeking revenge.
But it wasn’t just Muslims Salvador Romanero was out to silence. Anyone opposing the one world government he was putting in motion—to include a one world religion—would be silenced for good.
As the Miracle Maker set out to create a brave new world, children of the Most High God were preparing for the absolute worst. They knew God’s unprecedented judgments were coming. After all, it was written. They also knew Salvador Romanero was the long-foretold Antichrist of the Bible, and there was nothing they could do to stop the Son of Perdition in his quest for global worship.
Initially, Clayton Holmes and Travis Hartings, founders of the End Times Salvation Movement, used a website to connect them to other new believers also left behind on that fateful day. Both men prayed for weeks on end that God would give them a surefire sign so they would know who was trustworthy or not. For three consecutive nights they had the very same dream. Both heard a voice say, ‘Those who contact you regarding this dream are trustworthy.’
Knowing the Most High God was using supernatural dreams to bring His children together in these end times, while many showed interest in joining their rapidly growing organization, only those who’d had certain dreams were deemed trustworthy and invited to live on the properties they would soon have in their possession.
But with the second attempt to sign a peace treaty with Israel now upon them, the chaotic world humanity had inherited after the Rapture, would soon come completely unglued.
Instead of peace and prosperity for all, Planet Earth would experience the most turbulent seven years humanity would ever know...

His books, "I Never Knew You", "The Unannounced Christmas Visitor", and "The Pelican Trees" are now available in audiobook format.
While the stories he writes all have different themes and take place in different settings, the one thread that links them all together is his heart for Jesus and his yearning for the lost.
With that in mind, it is his wish that the message his stories convey will greatly impact each reader, by challenging you not only to contemplate life on this side of the grave, but on the other side as well.
After all, each of us will spend eternity at one of two places, based solely upon a single decision which must be made on this side of the grave. That decision will be made crystal clear to each reader of his books.
This book series is very well written. I am totally excited after finishing this book. The story follows Bible prophecy. I'm excited to read the next installment in the series. All characters are thought out in much detail.
Well, I made it this far through the series. I am, however, finding it challenging to continue. Allow me to explain:
In one respect, the books thus far have been excellent: I find no fault with the theology undergirding the novels. It’s the writing and storytelling style that I’m having the most trouble with.
In some ways the books thus far are under-written: the antichrist character’s rise to power is poorly explained. It requires an insurmountable suspension of disbelief to accept that some guy just shows up at a meeting, offers a few ideas, throws some cash around, and suddenly has control over military forces sufficient to project power on a global scale. At least the Left Behind series described the mechanism by which Mr 666 gains power.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, I also find the books to be WAY over-written. The author drags us through an excessive amount of minutiae pertaining to the thoughts and feelings of the principal characters. Who also happens to be to be Americans. All of them.
And that brings me to the next thing I’m finding annoying: the USA-Centric vision of the Last Days. It not only tests the limits of the ridiculous, it also comes across as super cringy.
And that brings me to my last point. The author’s attempt at making the novels gritty: all too often it comes off as cringy. The series comes across thus far like a really bad script for another 1990s-era Rapture movie. It’s so bad. I don’t know if I can finish this series…
Personally, for a thought-provoking, scripture-search-inspiring fictional take on the Last Days, I much prefer the Christ Clone Trilogy by James BeauSeigneur.
Where will you be when you face this time in your lift.
As a christian myself I enjoyed these. Books.. if one would consider. And think about the way t he world is going and really take good look at what the bible tells us , it might just open some eyes as to where things are headed and maybe change some things in their lives. I give it five stars.
While I understand that this series is fiction, it is obvious that the author is well versed in the Bible. The way he covered the often confusing book of Revelations and wove it beautifully into the story was just amazing. I have read Revelations and was totally surprised at how this author clarified many points that had been confusing. When investigating his viewpoint, he was spot on. When reading it again, and I will, Revelations will not be as daunting a challenge. I also realize that many people will have their own interpretations but this author's helped me clarify many points.
Enjoy reading your books even though I don't subscribe to the pre trib rapture theory. They are very entertaining and moving. The characters are very realistic and I look forward to the next installment.
This is a series that should not be missed! Many loved another series that was about the Rapture and all that followed. Many that thought they had a “relationship” with our Lord & Savior experienced a revelation (pun intended) that they needed to reevaluate that relationship. Plus those that had None started seeking one! This series is another I pray will be used to open eyes, hearts & spirits! We only need to pay attention to everything taking place that has been spoken of in God’s word. Even how many happenings are running parallel to the word! This is the time for redemption, time to answer that voice tugging at you, working around you, calling you. Here the knocking? Answer it now! Tomorrow is not promised...This is the one final journey that you need to be prepared for, no do overs.
I've read the first 5 books and cannot wait to download #6. They are well written, great character development and accurately biblical. I probably underlined half the book. I highly recommend this good read.
I really like Patrick Higgins series, though he's too anti-Catholic, as a former Catholic, I have to agree with his assessment of their beliefs. It's just hard to read, but it is truth (in my opinion as a Christian). I also believe anyone who reads this series and has an open mind and heart will agree that we are entering just such a time. Too bad for us! I just wish he'd finish the series (ha!!), as I'm anxious to see how he wraps up Revelation (I don't agree with the pre-tribulation belief as I do believe in mid-trib, being among a real minority). Good book, well written. I recommend it for all!!
For someone sitting on the fence I highly recommend it
It is well written and the editing is above average. I am having some differences in interpretation of scripture. The New Testament doesn't start until Acts. Jesus had to die and then the Covenant was probated. Current day churches seem to swap one set of rules for another.
What an awesome series! I absolutely loved reading thus far and can hardly wait for the next one! I would recommend these books to anyone. Keep them coming!
If you like high suspense stories that lead you on a roller coaster ride of emotions, this one is for you. But please start with book 1 so you get the full impact of the plotline as you read. Outside of book 1 which was the most gripping as it set the story in a motion that couldn't be stopped, this book caused me to gasp in surprise and feel deep emotions for the characters in the book and their plight. With some dread but also expectant hope, I'm ready to move on to the next book in the series.
This series is a well-woven fictional account, that will keep you turning the pages, but it's also more than that. The series is based on the prophecies in the Bible's Book of Revelation that foretell the destruction of the earth and the many plagues that will increasingly wipe out the population. As you read the series, I would hope you would consider your earthly and eternal future and where you put your faith in God.
If Higgins objective is to make the lead character, Brian, deplorable he succeeded in a big way. The writing in the first part of this installment is really strong and then it comes unglued. (Possible spoiler alert). The whole wedding thing is completely ridiculous. There is no way given the environment post rapture and tribulation that this would take place. Brian turns out to be a beta male that you want to shove into the corner and tell him to get his stuff together. Higgins makes you really dislike this guy and feels sorry for his new wife. Because of Brian you question the leadership of the ETSM and the story becomes unbelievable because they would never have made it in the Anti-Christ’s world. I am halfway through so I will continue and I hate giving such an honest review, but as a reader it is almost insulting that we are expected to believe this could happen with someone like Brian leading the story.
Exciting, suspenseful series, with loads of great characters. I like that things are realistic, in that not every unbeliever is being converted. Those of us who have long shared the Gospel with unbelieving friends and family know that it is often not well received, so the book has credibility by not tying everything up with a pretty, little bow, where everyone ultimately repents and comes to Jesus. In the Kindle version, there were a few instances where the same couple paragraphs were repeated, one right after the other; also, the author uses commas by the thousands, many times where they are not necessary. So, although I think the writing mechanics could be better, the series itself is great. Riveting, in fact!
Good book and series! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the story line isn't at all like the Left Behind series like some others, but is fresh and interesting. The books grab your attention immediately and don't let you go. Best of all is that the books are definitely Christian fiction. The characters that are Christian show what having Jesus as your savior looks like in real life. God is part of every page of these books. Since they're about the Tribulation, Satan is also well represented in the books. You soon see that everyone is serving either Jesus or Satan. I'm almost at the end of the series and everything has been scripturally sound so far. I'm sure the rest will be too. The only downside to the books is that they're a little short for my liking. I think it would be better if he made every 2 - 3 books in the series into one book. This review will be on each book in the series.
Edited to add: Another good point about this series is that it shows what the Tribulation will be like very realistically. I know that many seem to think that a judgment will happen, people will clean up after it, and then things will go back to normal - kind of like when a tornado hits somewhere now. They seemed to think that except for during the short times when a judgment was happening, everything would be fine. This series puts those lies to rest for good!
Still loving this series. Couple of things in this installment that makes one go hmmmm
Okay, first of all I am still enjoying this series. It is well done. All that being said, I have a few issues. SPOILER ALERT! If you have not read the book, stop here.
1. Why in the world didn't Brian change the locks? 2. Why in the world have a huge wedding while all kinds of law enforcement are looking for you? 3. If those security guards were so good, why in the world would they allow two unknowns leave boxes of packages at the wedding? Really?
Encourages me to intercede more for those that are lost without hope and don't know it.
Book five is well written and insightful of the End Times. However, I would have liked for Brian and Jacqueline to have desired God's will above their need to be husband and wife when the times called for them to be focused of the needs of others to be saved.
It was dangerous to invite a lot of unbelievers to a their EARTHLY wedding putting belivers at risk when they needed to be focused on the Wedding of JESUS CHRIST!
Some typos here and there, text repeats and some no ways, like driving from PA to NYC in less than 1.5 hrs - not possible even if there was no traffic. Try it at 2am in the morning, you still have to drive to and navigate over large bodies of water which means you have to find the bridges not to mention that The state of New Jersey is totally forgotten. The overall story is good and I look forward to reading book 6.
Part Five will keep you wanting to see what will happen next. The AntiChrist and his minions are trying to bring about the downfall of all countries and the citizens of them. N. America citizens are leaving by the millions as are other countries. So many are undesirable who are coming to America. The end times are happening as predicted.
This KU library selection picks up where book four ends. The Tribulation saints are preparing for severe persecution, while the antichrist is rejoicing at the babies being born into a world forever changed after the Rapture. But not everyone is a fan of the new charismatic world leader. He has made enemies along the way, and they are out for revenge against the man who sided with Israel. And while they're at it...
Even though this book is a novel it's based on the facts in the Bible. I hope anyone who reads it who does not know Jesus as Lord and Savior will find a Bible, check out the Scripture passages and come to know without a shadow of a doubt that without Jesus eternity will literally be hell. Only faith in Jesus will save anyone from that and instead give them life everlasting.
Another excellent installment in the Chaos in the Blink of An Eye series. The Countdown Begins is a rapidly-paced story that holds your attention and doesn't let go. Again, as in other installments, it is so nice to see scripture that backs up what is happening in the book. It's also nice to know God wins in the end! This book will convict you if you're not telling others about Jesus' death and RESURRECTION, which paid the price for our sins.
Well just finished #5 & will be starting on book 6. I can not give this author enough praise for listening the Holy Spirit while writing these books. The writing fallowing the Scriptures is wonderful. Writing truth with fiction is not always an easy task but Mr Higgens has found a brilliant way. Hopefully book 7 will be out soon. Thanks
Another winner for Mr. Higgins. The harsh realities laid out in this segment of his series hurts my heart because it is just that-a horrible look into a future that will destroy so many. If you read my last review of this series, be prepared for even more intensity in this installment. Be warned.
An amazing series! I am now reading #6 and hoping I don't have to wait too long for #7. Ready this series has inspired my resolve to set aside time each day to read and study my Bible. Though this is a work of fiction based on scripture, it's becoming a little scary to read some of the things that the author wrote three or four years ago are seem to be happening now.
This series has become one of my Bible studies for now.
During my trek through this series I've been highlighting my Bible to refer to later. End times scripture is rarely discussed in churches these days. You might hear one sermon about it, but rarely a full walk through Revelation and the Old and New testaments books that have prophecies that show up in Revelation.
a thrilling and inspiring series that is a must read
with the Anti Christ grumpy in place what is next for those left behind ? what happens in these pages will make all the ups and downs of the previous four books look like a cake walk . This book will shake you and force you to turn to your Bible and pray like never before
