Again, Snotgirl is getting weirder and weirder... I'm not a big fan of Lottie in this issue, as she and Caroline make for one of the strangest and most toxic duos ever. But at least we get Misty, who is too adorable to be annoying. Also, this Charlene thing is just way freaky. Need next issue ASAP.
Things are getting weirder/creepier and also messier. Toxic duo Lottie and Caroline (I'm beginning to hate Caroline more and more, ugh) are back together again, Charlene gets loopier, Misty is still as fake as hell and Meg is Meg. As for the boys, Virgil is cute but also gives out major creep vibes, while Sunny is just...a cute asshole of a mess (does he even genuinely like Charlene???).
Plot movement! Friendegration seems to be working, a hard task and Char woke up! Though what are the evil sister/brother/cousin/keeper/whatever up to? Is she sick?
I still have no idea what’s going on. I want to like coolgirl, so why is she so unlikable? She's so aesthetically pleasing with Lottie, and I just want some gays to ship.
On a separate note, I totally got invisible monster vibes from Charlene. I mean that girl was begging to fall off that roof, if only so she could get plastic surgery to look like Lottie. The ending of that was pretty funny...
Important to remember! Lottie's on those allergy meds that make her confused/forgetful/imagine things. So what's real?
No offense but Caroline is being a bitch in this volume and she doesn't feel sorry for what she did to Charlene on New Year's Eve. Plus she wants to make Lottie suffer somehow in front of her friends by calling her nickname (Snottie) while they're having a road trip to San Diego. Oh, Virgil is creeping me out and I don't know why is he spying on Charlene for the sake of his so called sister/cousin. That's all.
Our main girl is equal parts terrible and wonderful. This makes her feel like a real person. I think thst is a fantastic thing, even if I question her morals and decison-making.
I think the storyline and plot development is getting better with every issue. The first arc relied too much on surprise endings. Leslie Hung is a fantastic new talent to watch and I think she is getting better with every issue.
Curious about what happened but quickly losing interest… dunno if I’ll finish vol. 2… or if I do I probably won’t start vol. 3… esp. after seeing it was abandoned in 2020 ?
OK. So this is my grip, there is a decent story in there, Charlene arc is intriguing but rest of the story is beyond me I can't stand Lottie's toxic friendship. Trying to be funny at times it barely acts like filler for the plot at the last two pages. I think I can read on by just reading the endings, and won't miss any important chunk.
