The Zeeka Chronicles bring together all five stories in the Zeeka series. It is well presented and formatted to a high standard, and it's been a pleasure to see the author's expertise and wordcraft evolve as the series came to its conclusion.

There are many interesting characters in the series, I especially like the robots Miranda and Eve, but also the humans, such as Detective Jack Wildy who is surely due a spin-off story of his own.

It may be beyond most of us to write one good zombie tale, but Brenda Mohammed has given us five.

When book three came out it appeared to be the end of Zeeka's story, but book four - Zeeka's Ghost - took the series to a new and exciting higher level.

Resurrection - Book Five, does what it is supposed to do - it rounds off the series nicely but not in a limp, predictable way.

It is sufficiently different from 'Ghost' to buy on its own, which you can do of course. But 'Chronicles' gives you the whole story for a great price.

So if you want a zombie story with a heart - get this collection today.

Book Review –Zeeka Chronicles by Florabelle Lutchman

Do you like futuristic views of life? Well, this book “Zeeka Chronicles” written by Mrs. Brenda Mohammed, a multi genre author, is just the book to read. It has five connected stories and will take you into the future- 2036 to be exact, where you will read about Zeeka and the Zombies, Zeeka’s Child, Zeeka Returns, Zeeka’s Ghost and Resurrection.
This multi-layered tale is set on a small island called Gosh, a little scenic island off the coast of South America, and it became the brain child of the author when the disease Zika was ravaging the Caribbean Islands.
Brenda Mohammed uses her everyday experiences and ideas to formulate plots for each story. She skilfully interweaves the characters of each story, bringing to the narratives interest, amazement, and excitement.
If you are scared of reading about zombies, there is no need to be. The zombies are just short people with small heads who created some havoc on the island of Gosh during the Carnival festival.
The protagonist is a doctor, Dr. Stephen Sharpe, a scientist, who had an obsession over finding a cure for the debilitating disease caused by the Anopheles Mosquito.
Circumstances in this book are somewhat similar to what is happening today with Covid19. In the book, babies were born with small heads and if they died their bodies were not given to the parents for burial. Funerals could not be held. Maybe Mrs. Brenda Mohammed had a glimpse into the future!!!!
A cure for this disease was being sought by over twenty doctors in the hospital but read on.
In the second story, “Zeeka’s Child”, we read about the child that Zeeka, the antagonist had. You will be stunned to know who it was.
“Zeeka Returns” is the third story that tells of Zeeka’s return from exile and the thrilling events that follow.
“Zeeka’s Ghost” is the fourth episode, but that I cannot give away. You must read the book to find out.
“Resurrection” is the fifth story, and you will be amazed at Brenda’s imagination for a future world. Over twenty doctors in the hospital were seeking a cure for the disease. Dr. Stephen Sharpe led the team and discovered that cure. I wish a scientist will invent a cure for Covid 19, like the one Brenda invented for the persons who grew up deformed because of the Zika virus.
The author has written twenty-five books to date and I am sure each of them is worth reading as Zeeka Chronicles.
If you want to fill your world with excitement at this time of lockdown, please pick up this book. You will not regret it. You may not want to put it down.
Zeeka Chronicles is available at Amazon stores worldwide. Get it at this link.

A fun, imaginative read with an interesting underlying message.
The book is very fast-paced - blink and you'll miss something. I believe the book was first released as a series but still worked well as a novel. While each section had a well-rounded resolution they also progressed the overall story. As someone who reads at bedtime, it was handy to have a natural place to break off reading.
I was so pleased by Nine's ending!
Recommend to readers who like zanny, fun reads.

Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed opens with Zeeka and the Zombies. On the island of Gosh in January 2036 Raynor Sharpe is woken by rattling to see a beach full of small robots. Is he still dreaming? Raynor is a hospital doctor and so is the woman he secretly loves, but Janet is engaged to another man. Gosh’s carnival is turned from an exotic native spectacle to tragedy by a troop of entertainers: zombies who shoot into the audience killing and injuring hundreds. How can these monsters disintegrate into a heap of dust? Why is one false head found? Who is Zeeka, and does he control the zombies? Why does Janet cancel her wedding? Can the Chief of Police be trusted, or is he as corrupt as others in the force? Read on: Zeeka's Child; Zeeka Returns, Zeeka's Ghost and Resurrection hold the un-guessable answers.

Zeeka Chronicles comprises five books from the Revenge of Zeeka series. 2036 is shown as a technically advanced world by gadgets like watches that act much like today’s smartphones plus visual contact, robots and much more. The story is built on the premise that a doctor discovers a cure for a disease but is prevented from using it, but the plot becomes more entangled the farther you read. Police corruption, suicide, kidnap, and a very active ghost. Brenda Mohammed’s writing style is evocative of the future and she handles the science in her fiction brilliantly: reading is believing! I loved Zeeka Chronicles; it has worldwide appeal for anyone looking for an entertaining story that is different.

I’m not a zombie fan. Even though The Walking Dead is filmed around Atlanta, I don’t watch the show and haven’t read many zombie books. I surprised even myself with my selection of Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed. Here are my thoughts!

Synopsis (from the author): Set in 2036, the world of Zeeka Chronicles is modern and futuristic.
But something evil is afoot.
The villainous Zeeka is planning revenge and is breeding zombies to wipe out the Islanders on Gosh.
Why does he want revenge?
New technology and scientific breakthroughs in the field of medical science set the stage for the unimaginable in this tale of a hateful man, kidnapping, love, lies, revenge, female robots, a ghost, a deadly virus, sixty programmable zombies, corruption in the police force, and a hero you will love.
Dr. Steven Sharpe knows Zeeka's secrets.
Can he expose Zeeka without risking his life and that of his beloved family?
Will Detectives Jack Wildy and Jerry Cole discover the truth?
Can secrets remain buried?
What part does Janet, Raynor, Mandy, Miranda, and Zombie Number Nine play?

What I liked: I enjoyed much of the story and the imaginative spin on zombies and technology. Many twists and turns made it hard to guess the outcome, and there were plenty of surprising events. If you like zombie tales with a touch of romance and plenty of action, give Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka a chance!

What I didn’t like: There were two areas that detracted from the story for me. First, the dialogue was difficult to follow and was stiff and didn’t flow well. Secondly, the interactions between the characters seemed awkward.

Overall impression: Brenda Mohammed’s Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka was an enjoyable read. Futuristic technology, zombies, ghosts, and plenty of action made it a fun read. Check this one out if zombies are your thing!

My rating: 3.5 Stars (rounded to 4 Stars)

These are fun, highly imaginative tales that blend zombie lore with robots/hi-tech, futuristic, sci-fi themes and ideas. When I say the stories are off the wall, I’m not kidding. But if you’re looking for a refreshing break from standard zombie fare and run of the mill sci-fi, you could do a lot worse than this collection. The underlying theme connecting the stories—the potential for advanced technology to do harm in the wrong hands—is well taken, considering the times we’re living in. But there’s another theme that goes along with that one—the role of vigilante justice for people wronged by the powers that be. These are cautionary tales then about what can happen in a world where most everyone is tech-enabled—and so many people are also victims of injustice.

Fans of Twilight Zone and Outer Limits TV series episodes should find these shorts right up their alley.

I have purchased and reviewed all five books separately. My only objection was that I wanted to see them in one book since I felt a little impatient when waiting for the next one. The author now gives new readers this opportunity. I really recommend to buy them in one book since the story is difficult to put down and when you finish the first book, you want to read the rest.

Apart from a thrilling story, the author gives us an interesting vision of the future, which seems entirely possible to me. She describes incredible progress in technology while humans do not change as much or as quickly. Her characters are still very much like people we know. They exhibit human weaknesses, can get jealous, vindictive, neglectful. There are only two people who seem perfect and incapable of mistakes in this series, but they are both robots. Evil characters seem scarier than normal bad people we know because they are equipped with better knowledge and technology, but deep down there is nothing demonic about them and they have a nice side as well.

An entertaining read filled with suspense. A science-fiction story with lingering themes on human flaws and goodness. As a teacher/student this would make a great comparative study to Shakespeare’s plays with love, lies and revenge as persistent human traits. While futuristic, set in 2036, the startling perceptiveness of being in an era where we encounter robots as part of our daily lives, takes the reader on a journey of human values, some negative and some imperative to the improvement of the human condition. Even if you’re not a zombie fan, this book will draw you in.

Zeeka Chronicles is a horror story based or subject matter as relevant today as in the well-crafted, dystopian, science fiction created by author Brenda Mohammed.
The story is original, something I enjoy, and it is complete, something that most readers will appreciate. Solid entertainment. A five star experience.

“Zeeka Chronicles” is a futuristic story, taking place twenty years from now. After an outbreak of Zika virus on a small island in the US, strange events start taking place, and doctor Raynor and his colleagues, who still remembered the events of twenty years ago, have to deal with the consequences. A strange creature appears in the hospital, claiming to be one of the dead babies, buried by the state many years ago, dug out by the mad scientist and turned into zombies with a sinister goal…
The book consists of two parts, and the second book unveils dark secrets, which concern Raynor’s family and his brother’s disappearance. “Zeeka Chronicles” is a highly compelling mixture of sci-fi, supernatural, and dystopian genres, which make it an even more interesting read. And the story of the zombie number nine in the end made just a perfect finale that put a big smile on my face.

I was thrilled to read this because it contains all five Zeeka books, which are among my favorite spooky stories. This series is about the havoc the sinister Zeeka and his Zombies unleashed on a little island in the Caribbean and the impact on people who live there. The darker side of humanity is explored with unforeseeable plot twists taking the reader down a sometimes grisly path. Thankfully, there is light at the end of the tunnel and I eventually emerged with feelings of redemption and satisfaction. Future tech is highlighted throughout the series making me desire one of the book's robot helpers who does dishes and kicks butt too.

Zeeka Chronicles will grab you in the beginning and compel you to keep reading

The story begins with a dream that a renowned doctor has and then finds out what he has dreamed is about to come true. Imagine you are thirty years in the future on a small island that is very developed and was once a haven for tourists. However, due to a freak outbreak of the Zika virus and the rise of zombies created by a rogue doctor, the tourists have abandoned this idyllic island. Now the nightmare that Dr. Raynor Sharpe had experienced is about to come true. A man with a false head has arrived and claims that he is Number Nine, a zombie created by Master Zeeka. He tells the doctor he knows of others who have false heads and mechanical bodies who are being trained by this Master Zeeka to kill. But attempts to find out more are thwarted by the disappearance of this strange man. All that is left is the false head and the recording made of his admission. Although this is a small thing it sets off a whole series of episodes where there is a search for this mysterious Number Nine. As the search continues we are introduced to a series of characters that could have come out of the movies of the 40’s and 50’s including several police detectives and one called Hammer. Hammer could have been played by any of the stars who were hard on the outside and good at strong arming the bad guys with warm hearts. In fact, the entire book feels like a rerun of a good mystery story with its cinematic scenes. The bad guy creates a big disturbance during a public event and the whole thing escalates. There are scenes everywhere including the forest where the police detectives go to try to find the missing zombies and the evil Dr. Zeeka. Dr. Zeeka was believed to be dead but he is very alive as he manipulates his zombies to cause trouble and kill innocent people. In the middle of all this is the love story of Raynor and Janet and how it is related to the story unfolding around them. During the entire time reading this book the reader keeps wondering what will come next. There is almost never a time when the reader feels that things are settled in the first book. By the second book when the reader feels everything has calmed down things escalate again and the whole story continues at a breakneck pace until the end of Book 5. During the reading of this story there are many scientific advances in it. Since the story starts out in 2034 and continues to 2036 there are things in there that are probably in the beginning stages now. However, it is clear that the author has done extensive research on certain of these advances. As someone who likes a little romance with my science fiction I really enjoyed the relationships here. I would recommend it to anyone who likes science fiction. Let’s hope that some of the things she has in here will come to fruition.

Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka is a unique blend of science fiction, dark fantasy, and suspense that pulls the reader into a futuristic Caribbean unlike anything I’ve seen in the genre. Brenda Mohammed imagines the year 2036 with a vivid sense of place, where the beauty of Carnival celebrations clashes with the terror of zombies, robots, and shadowy human ambition.

What impressed me most is how the story isn’t just about technology gone wrong it’s also about human choices, corruption, and redemption. The protagonist, Dr. Steven Sharpe, and his circle of family and friends are drawn into a web of danger that is as psychological as it is physical. At the center stands the mysterious Zeeka, a chilling antagonist who represents both vengeance and obsession.

The pacing is quick, and while some scenes feel almost cinematic, others give you time to reflect on moral questions the balance between scientific progress and ethics, or how power can easily corrupt. At times the plot leans into soap-opera-style drama, but it actually works here, adding emotional weight to the futuristic action.

For readers who enjoy high-concept sci-fi with real-world echoes such as the aftermath of epidemics, artificial intelligence, and questions of mortality this series delivers. It reminded me of Frankenstein updated for a Caribbean stage. Brenda Mohammed deserves credit for pushing the boundaries of speculative fiction with such originality.

Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka is an ambitious sci-fi thriller that combines the familiar with the unexpected. Zombies and robots might sound familiar in speculative fiction, but Brenda Mohammed places them in a Caribbean future that feels fresh, colorful, and a little unsettling.

The story unfolds in five connected parts, each building on the last. I appreciated the structure, though at times I wished certain subplots had been developed in more depth. Still, the momentum is strong, and the author ties everything together in a satisfying way.

What stands out most is the moral undercurrent. Good versus evil isn’t presented as a cliché; instead, it’s filtered through very human struggles ambition, revenge, love, betrayal. The technology, while imaginative, is grounded enough to feel believable. The futuristic watches, robotics, and bioengineering give it a speculative edge without overwhelming the human drama.

That said, the dialogue occasionally felt a little formal to me, but that’s a minor point compared to the scope of the storytelling. The setting with its beaches, Carnival, and folklore is a refreshing change from the usual urban or dystopian backdrops in science fiction.

Overall, this book is for readers who want more than just action it’s for those who like their sci-fi with cultural richness and moral complexity. Brenda Mohammed has written something distinctive, and it’s easy to see why the series has earned international recognition.

I went into Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka not knowing what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much it kept me hooked. From the opening scene on the island of Gosh, the mix of Caribbean culture, futuristic gadgets, and eerie zombies felt both fresh and exciting.

What I loved was the creativity. It’s not just another zombie story it’s part detective mystery, part science fiction, and part human drama. The chapters flow like episodes in a TV series, with each installment revealing new twists. I found myself especially fascinated by the Chief of Police, Bill Grady (Zeeka). His character is layered not a one-dimensional villain but someone whose pain and choices drive the chaos.

The book also touches on themes that resonate today: how society handles disease outbreaks, how ambition can blind people, and how technology can both save and destroy. Despite the futuristic setting, the issues feel relevant.

I also appreciated the Caribbean setting. Too often, sci-fi overlooks non-Western locations, but here the island backdrop adds so much color and authenticity. The sounds of steel drums, the imagery of Carnival, and the cultural details make the book stand out.

This is not a slow-burn read it’s fast-paced, thrilling, and unpredictable. If you like stories that keep you guessing and characters who wrestle with real dilemmas, this is worth your time.

Zeeka Chronicles is an absolutely fascinating and imaginative blend of science fiction, suspense, and human emotion. From the very first chapter, it pulls you into a futuristic world filled with twists, mystery, and characters that stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

What makes this book stand out is how cleverly the author weaves technology, ethical dilemmas, and thrilling storytelling into one seamless narrative. It’s not just entertaining it makes you think about the future of science and humanity.

If you love gripping sci-fi adventures that keep you hooked until the end, Zeeka Chronicles is a book you should definitely buy and add to your collection. It’s one of those rare finds that deserves to be called a masterpiece.

I raced through this book - or more correctly I should say series of five books, bargain, as the story was so fast moving and exciting. On the odd occasions I did put it down to do other things, I found it had inspired my imagination. It takes a special kind of author to invent the future- I loved the shrinkenator idea. There is so much going on in these books that this writers work will stick in your mind for a very long time.

Zeeka Chronicles surprised me in all the best ways. The mix of sci-fi technology, zombies, biotech ethics, and Caribbean culture creates a world I’ve never seen before in this genre. I especially enjoyed following Dr. Steven Sharpe’s struggle as he slowly uncovers the truth behind Master Zeeka’s plans. Every episode felt bigger and more intense than the last. The blend of suspense, mystery, and emotional depth made this a standout read.

This book has that classic Twilight Zone vibe eerie, unpredictable, and morally complex but set in a vibrant island world that makes the tension hit even harder. I loved how each of the five series builds on the last, revealing new clues about the origins of the zombies and the mastermind behind them. The psychological elements were some of my favorite parts, especially the contrast between Bill Grady and Steven Sharpe. Smart, intense, and very unique.

What stood out most to me wasn’t just the plot, but the characters. Master Zeeka is one of the most memorable antagonists I’ve read in a while: ambitious, brilliant, and deeply flawed. Watching the detectives unravel his secrets kept me hooked all the way through. The emotional moments with the families involved added a human touch that many sci-fi books lack. This is character-driven sci-fi done right.

This book reads like a movie fast, gripping, and visually rich. I can absolutely see why parts of it were adapted into a screenplay. The futuristic island setting is beautiful yet unsettling, and the tension ramps up quickly as the investigations deepen. The zombies, robots, and advanced technology were exciting, but the ethical questions underneath gave the story a surprising amount of weight. It’s a great pick for readers who like sci-fi with suspense.

I didn’t expect the Zika virus inspiration to blend so naturally with fantasy and futuristic tech, but it works incredibly well. The book explores “what if” scenarios in ways that feel imaginative without losing emotional realism. The combination of robotics, medical science, and Caribbean folklore gives it a voice I haven’t seen in mainstream sci-fi. The final episodes tie everything together beautifully, making the ending powerful and satisfying.

I love when authors take old concepts and put an entirely new spin on them. That's exactly what Brenda Mohammed did in Zeeka Chronicles

Zeeka Chronicles by Brenda Mohammed

Just when you thought you knew everything about Zombies, comes this imaginative tale that re-defines their existence.

Set in the future, new technology and scientific breakthroughs open the door to possibilities that are vaguely imaginable in this day and age.

This is a tale of love, lies, revenge and a deadly virus. There is a lot jam-packed into the plot, making for an exciting read.

There were two areas where this book fell short for me.

The first was the dialogue.
Having more than one person speak in the same paragraph can lead to confusion. It also created a situation in which the character speaking constantly needed to say the name of the person they were talking to. That, in itself, comes off as unnatural. I would also suggest the author put extra thought into the way certain characters would speak, especially professionals to each other at work.

The second was the romance.
I don't want to give away any spoilers, but I will say I felt it unrealistic, especially the female lead.

I will be watching for future works by this author. I love the originality and can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

5.0 out of 5.0 stars on Amazon

I received an advanced paperback copy of this book from the author.
I just could not put the book down until I read the last page.
There were so many twists and turns that every time I thought I had the ending all figured out, there was a new twist.
I found the book to be original, brilliant, and full of suspense.
There were many themes playing out.
Some parts were dark and terrifying with zombies, murder, kidnapping, and police corruption. Other parts were about true love and family life.
The ending was amazing and I could envisage a bright future with advanced medical technology and robots as companions and helpers.
This is a one of a kind book and one I would recommend that everyone should read.

To every action there is a consequence and the, Zeeka Chronicles illustrates this perfectly. A futuristic story, using the recent scare of the Zika virus. Doctor Raynor and his colleagues, who were involved with the incident twenty years ago, now have to deal with the consequences of their action. It appears evil is afoot, in the form of sixty programmable zombies with one sinister goal in mind, seek and destroy.
The book is written in two parts. Part 2 is where the author reveals a lot about Raynor’s family, his brother’s disappearance when he was seven, and the man called Number 9. The identity of number 9 is a revelation in itself. Nice mixture of sci-fi, supernatural, and dystopian genres… interesting read.
