It’s a match made in heaven…or is it?

But as long as I know the stakes...
that Jonathan’s heart will always belong to someone else
and that what we have is nothing more than a simple arrangement
between two broken people,
I’ll teach him everything I know.

My submission to his domination.
No strings. No commitments.

We’ll both get what we need from each other
…until the day he won’t need me anymore.

I really enjoyed this short read about Jonathan and Sharon. The characters were well developed and you understood how each was trying to figure out in their own mind what they needed to move on from their past.
Sharon has a super abusive Dom (if you can call him that) who she was able to get away from but he was the last in a string of ones she chose who didn't respect her limits or safe word. So she is questioning whether there really is someone out there who can be a "good" Dom and want her.
Jonathan was married and his wife, who has his heart, made him feel dirty and not normal for the things he wanted to do to her in the bedroom. She even exposed him. he needs to understand that what he was looking for is not deviant just not necessarily for everyone and his heart found someone who this lifestyle was not for. he needs to use his dominate side in the bedroom.
Can Jonathan and Sharon heal each other? I do hope their story continues. I'd love to see where they go from here. baby steps.
I was given this book for an honest and voluntary review.

This book most definitely left me wanting more, and I would love for Liz Durano to turn it into one of her full length books.

Her characters are so well written that you KNOW them, you feel their emotions, wants and desires. I was immediately drawn into the bond between Sharon and Jonathan and totally believed in their connection.

The novella is a quick read but even so I felt I still got to know the two main characters, as well as some of their back story. The plot was good and really focused on these two getting to know each other and begin to heal each other's wounds.

My only complaint really is that it wasn't a full length novel as I'm already in love with this pair and their story.

This book was gifted to me by Liz and wow was I blown away. It's different from her usual style a little more dark but wow did she nail it.
Jonathon is a billionaire whose wife has left him and he broke down in public in a major way. His confidence has taken a blow because of her thoughts surrounding sex.
Sharon has just escaped a very dominating Dom and has suffered at his hands.
The couple are paired together thanks to a mutal person.
Can these two these two come together and heal each others wounds???
I read this book as an ARC and after reading it how could I not leave a postive and glowing review.
Well done Liz for nailing this I hope we get to read more about this couple and or maybe family and friends.

Would I recommend this book YES

Quick BDSM story. I enjoy Liz's books and she did a good job writing need. I haven't read the other Drazen World books but I am looking forward to it. Jonathan and Sharon's story is hot and full of action.

Liz Durano gives us a peek into the world of Jonathan Drazen after his divorce, but before he met Monica (Complete Submission: The Complete Series). It's a nice little view of Jonathan as he starts to gain a foothold in the D/s world. Sharon is a natural submissive who's had some awful Doms in her past, especially her most recent ex, Sebastian, who literally chained her by the foot to the bed when she displeased him. Thank God she tricked him enough to let her out of the restraints so she could escape while he was gone.

Now she's met Jonathan through a mutual friend, and she'll be his way into the D/s world where he naturally belongs. Not through clubs or anything as structured as that, but because her submission and utter compliance allows him to express his needs and desires as a Dominant without a taste for true sadism. He may be a little too gentle for her, but it's probably because he's only just now finding his way as a Dom.

I wish this little peek we got into Jonathan's formative Dom journey were a little longer, or that there are plans for more about Jonathan and Sharon's story. I have to admit I was put off at first because I absolutely fell in love with Jonathan and Monica together in the original Drazen stories by C.D. Reiss. But, as I read, I found I enjoyed seeing Sharon free Jonathan to express his true needs and desires, and to get him ready for the true love of his life, Monica. Kudos Liz Durano for capturing the essence of Jonathan Drazen without changing him or taking away what I love about him so much - his gentle Dominance.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Sharon is a natural submissive and has just escaped a relationship where her Dom would not respect her limits and now has a restraining order against him.

Jonathan is a successful businessman who was deeply in love with his ex-wife however not only did she not like the lifestyle she belittled what he wanted publicly which has caused him to feel shame about his desires.

Will Sharon realize that not all Doms are like her ex and will she be able to show Jonathan that his needs are not something to be ashamed about?

The author has done a great job at developing the characters in this quick sexy read. I would love to see a follow up to see how their relationship develops. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I really enjoyed reading "Need" by Liz Durano. This book was not her typical writing style, but I thought she did a great job. She does a great job with character development to the point that I really felt like I knew these characters in the short span of the novella. It was a hot read, probably still tame in comparison to others in the erotica genre, but I thought she have enough to paint the picture and left me wanting more. I would hope that she has plans to turn this one into a full length book.
I read this book in exchange for an honest review, but I would gladly recommend it to fans or the erotica / BDSM genres.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

Need by Liz Durano is a novella written in the Drazen World. Having not read any books from the Drazen World, this novella can be treated like a standalone.

This book is about Sharon and Jonathan and the beginning of their "arrangement". It's a very steamy and short read but the characters are well developed and well written. Their personalities really shine through and you feel like you really know them.

Liz has done a brilliant job with this novella and I would love to read more of Sharon and Jonathan and the rest of the Drazen World.

I havent read the previous book about the Drazens. I went into this blind, and I'm not a BDSM fan so I was hesitant at first. I happen to love Liz Durano books so I took the plunge. This was really well written, a quick read novella, with just enough steamy sex scenes and it wasn't apalling. I totaly loved it! I want more of the Drazens!! Jonathan Drazen is a rich, sexy Dom and is Sharon is the eager and willing Sub..these two made quite a pair! Love love this. Read this in one sitting while drinking my morning coffee! Amazing novella. Thanks yo the author.

I really liked indulging in this short story of Sharon and Jonathan. It was a great fast read and enjoyable narrative between two well written characters trying to figure out what they need to become whole again. For Sharon, it's the need to feel safe again and Jonathan needing to trust and get back to being his dominant self. With both characters needing to move beyond each of their past exs.

I received this ARC for a voluntary and honest review.

Another amazing peek into the wonderful world of BDSM with Liz Durano. I was frustrated when it finished I wanted more, much more. Isn't that always the way when a story is well written and the characters so real? I cannot wait to see if there is more from Jonathon and Sharon I do hope so. If you love a trip to the dark side, in baby steps this a book you will enjoy.

Kudos to Liz Durano for capturing the essence of the "Drazen effect" on her readers, especially the bond between Jonathan and Margie. Their communication illustrated the intangible family bond.

In Liz's book, Jonathan is on his way to finding and owning his sexually dominant nature with Sharon, a woman recommended to him by a longtime friend.

It is a hot series of trysts with potential for additional novellas. Her book left me wanting more, specifically, Sharon's story.

I enjoyed this novella.
Jonathan and Sharon both were struggling through their past traumatic relationship soon found solace into each other arms. In a sense, they found themselves again with each other. They were mature and develop with their relationship.
I like the writing style. There was nothing exaggeration. Author made her point well in short and compact manner.

This was my first book about the Drazens and I don't usually read a lot of BDSM so I wasn't sure about this book but I'm a huge fan of Liz Duranos so I wanted to give it a shot. I was not disappointed at all. I really enjoyed it. The characters were real and engaging. The emotions were real and sucked you in. I didn't want the book to end.

Excited to get the ARC from Liz as I am a big fan of her books. This is my first introduction to the Drazens so was not sure what to expect. So sorry Jonathan... I keep thinking of Ashe while reading you. Amazing flow and I had read it all in one sitting. I can feel the healings at the end of the novella and I do think that it was a match made in heaven. And the title 'Need' is just perfect.

My first time in the Drazen World (I guess this is a series) but I've read a number of this author's previous works. She knows how to write a romance filled with real, flawed characters. This is a deviation from most of her writing, with BDSM playing a central role, but the character development and good story line that I expect from Ms. Durano were here. A bit short but enjoyable, with Sharon the catalog model and Jonathan the wealthy property developer making a hot couple. As often occurs in Durano's work, problems from the main characters' previous relationships spill over into their present and cause difficulties as they struggle to move on. The steamy scenes include some domination but are not extreme.

I received a complimentary copy of this work from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.
