The action-packed, third installment in the bestselling War Buds series. Set in a post-apocalyptic America after an electromagnetic pulse, this is Jack Hunt's War Buds 3: Overcome.

Forced to adapt and overcome incredible odds, Brody and the survivors face off against a threat more violent and deadly than they could have ever imagined. I hate when good people die, but if the story saved everyone of them, it would be a weekly television series and feel just as fake. At least we get to see the enemy, and it isn't just fellow survivors with criminal proclivities. I'm left with how it goes from here. One question I have is even though much of the country's power grid was gone from a nuclear attack, did the country's navy and air force based outside the area of attack respond in any way?
One of the stories that has your mind and heart engaged. I am am presently crying for losses as well as relief, sorrow and pride for our country and citizens. Something needed in todays political and national uncertainty! Lots of action because of war but excellent characters development as well. Hopefully the author can be persuaded to continue the story. I love the unexpected twists and turns the story takes! All 3 books are awesome! Sandy Mabry
I average 10-12 books a month and I really enjoyed this series and especially this last book of the series.. I am very familiar with the geography of this are where the story takes place. What I really appreciate is the way the Author portrayed the characters strengths and flaws to illustrate the reality of life in this time of disruption, and chaos. Great characters , story line, and a believable plot. Thank you!
Riveting, hard to put down, tear evoking. Characters well developed to the point of liking or disliking them. Childhood friends pulled into fighting for freedom in California rather then die by the dictates of north Korean and Russian soldiers on American soil.
I was worried it was going to be one of those feel good ‘everyone gets back together and go save the world’ books. It wasn’t. It was gritty and full of individual personalities that all had many traits (some I even wanted to hit through the screen!) it was a fantastic 3 book series.
Read all three in the series enjoyed them all. Too often authors in this genre fill pages with details of the weapons to the nth degree this series does not I assume some of the authors are sponsored by the weapons industry? Either way this was entertaining and worth binge reading. As are all Jack’s books read to date.
I love a story that gives no regard to main characters. This had passion, conflict and pain. Rewarding isn't a word I use often but this was a great series.
The 3rd installment sees the friends arguing but I think that the circumstances in this book bring them even closer than they were as kids. Probably the best in the series so far. Keep them coming please.
In the last couple weeks I’ve read a lot of books by different authors, by and large this is the best series yet. It shows Americans coming together in the worst of times and doing what needs to be done. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
While I’ve reads a few hundred books in the past years, I continue to find Mr Hunt an excellent author and constantly entertaining. His books are well worth the read!!
While there may have been a rough spot in the first book, books 2 and 3 made up for it. The series finished strong than many others in this genre. Definitely worth your time.
The saga of 5 small town friends who had grown apart then brought back together by the wish of their long ago, now dead mentor. Americans doing what they do best, fighting apocalyptic adversity among each other and then banding together to fight a common enemy.
Interesting storyline with intriguing characters. Ordinary people trying to survive in the wake of EMP and societal breakdown and invasion of foreign forces.
The ends too abruptly. The story is not yet complete.
The third in the series I found it to be as well written as the first two and would recommend to those that want that feeling of patriotic pride when your done reading it.
Love the story, the conflicts, and the coming together of everyone when everything seemed lost. Hope there are more to come but I could also see it ending here too
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, the story was engaging, the characters were likable. I recommend the story and will be checking out this author for future reads.
Super story It was funny and heart wrenching with all the things that one would face in such a event. Keep our second amendment rights or it could be a hole different.
