It has been said, “love is insanity.” Perhaps the better truth dwells upon the sensual overload that a distressed love can inflict upon a balanced and coherent mind. What happens when delusion supplants lucid thinking, when self-control gives way to self-destruction, when anger consumes the ability to think, to care, to endure this rage men call “love”?
Overwhelmed with emotional pain, T.J. Vance has crossed into experiential insanity. He has befriended death, colluded with a division in personality, and surrendered to a rage that has no bounds. Unless T.J. recovers self-control, he will destroy his home, alienate his friends and murder his wife.
I got hooked in the first couple of pages. I wanted to know what was going on. The story moved fast and the frailty of the mind was shown clear. The insanity grows with the suspense. When will the main character end their suffering. Nope, not that easy, a final turn to an unexpected ending. Good build up to a great finish. Overload makes you wonder.
