This delightful book is part of a series of Ladybird books which have been specially planned to help grown-ups with the world about them. The large clear script, the careful choice of words, the frequent repetition and the thoughtful matching of text with pictures all enable grown-ups to think they have taught themselves to cope. Featuring original Ladybird artwork alongside hilarious, brand new text.
My sister happened to purchase this for me for my birthday and it's fair to say we resemble many of the remarks in the book. I grew up on ladybird books as a child so this was a lovely trip down memory lane for me. It also brought some proper laugh out loud moments ESP around the hand me down clothes. Well worth a giggle over.
Pretty funny for people of a certain generation, say in their 40s and 50s now, who grew up reading ladybird books. It's OK, but every gag relies on the assumption that brothers and sisters don't get on.

This is a sister.
I definitely found a number of these pretty funny (especially as a sister who could recognise themselves in some of the snippets). I think I would have enjoyed this more if it had been bought by my siblings but unfortunately I bought it myself.
I was gifted this one year as a Christmas present and thought this is odd. I'm a sister to a sister and a brother. One or two seem about right, but it's definitely not as funny as some have made out to be.
Got this from my sister for my birthday and it was such a cute gift. I don’t know if i will be counting this for my reading goal, but it was a funny and relatable experience.
