Sometimes you just have to keep your mouth shut and play along; the quiet is best for plotting, and I am getting out of here.
One would think the sassy, sexy hybrid Earthen Protector and Healer Alex Conner deserves some downtime after all she’s been through. But no. Instead, she finds herself trapped by the king of the Fae, and he’s not letting her go until he gets what he wants.
As alternate realities tangle her in confusion and bring her close to forgetting who she is and everyone she loves, will she unwittingly give the king what he craves?
If she does escape, will she ever pick up where she left off with her sexy Adonis Ryan? And can she control the new power she never knew she could wield—one over life and death itself—or will she be entangled in a realm whose ruler is hell-bent on entrapping her and someone she holds dear, forever?

Ms. Sinclair is a local writer and Amazon best-selling fantasy author with books crossing into YA epic fantasy, NA Urban fantasy, paranormal romance, mystery, suspense, and Sci-fi genres.
Parker gives credit to the development of her imagination and passion for writing to multiple childhood destinations lacking indoor plumbing. It may sound odd, yet when your journey to adulthood consists of numerous backpacking, camping, and hiking trips to the most out-of-the-way and breathtakingly beautiful places in North America, the creation of games, worlds, and characters are the results. She would never trade the childhood her parents gave her, and she thanks them for raising her to have her own thoughts, dreams, and bountiful imagination. Oh and she wishes to thank them for teaching her that one should never leave their jeans on the floor of an everglades campground shower—lest they do the dance of the scorpions in the pants again!
While attending college, Ms. Sinclair studied biological sciences and psychology, specifically animal behavior, but her love has forever been to write. There are boxes in her house filled with notebooks, journals, and logs with poems, stories, lyrics, and personal rants scratched into them with pencil, marker, pen, whatever she could get her hands on. Words demanded to be thrown out of her mind and onto paper by any means necessary. Ms. Sinclair’s studies have contributed greatly to the worlds, characters, and stories she creates, proving that no matter what path you take, it will all be part of where you end up—sometimes in spectacular ways!
Since 2007, Ms. Sinclair calls Virginia Beach home where she is employed as a full-time writer, is a licensed educational counselor, and finds some of the best times to write late into the night after her kiddos, and in many cases, her husband, are fast asleep.

Only is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicles, by Parker Sinclair. The story is an exciting fantasy/action adventure- with mystery, suspense, drama and danger. We are swept away on a journey that will have us fighting alongside the characters as they try to keep one step ahead of a formidable foe. We travel to different realms- meeting demons, seers, earthen protectors, earthen healers, fae and many other mythical creatures. There is magic, spells, dream walking, passion, forbidden love, a wickedly cruel and unhinged king and so much more….. If you haven’t read the other books in this series yet, I really recommend that you do, because they contain vital information that will enhance your reading experience of this book. They lay out the backstory and introduce the characters, as well as continuing the storyline from one book, into the next. Alex Conner has been captured by the King of the Fae and is being held imprisoned in the fae realm. There is something the King wants from her and he will do whatever it takes to extract the information he needs. He has striped her of her abilities and is using his powers to hijack her mind and use it against her. Her memories are being manipulated and she can’t trust what she is seeing. Somehow Alex needs to find a way to remember, a way to keep herself grounded, and a way to keep believing in her own strength. She knows that once the king gets what he wants, he will dispose of her- permanently! She can’t allow that to happen. But what can she do? Luckily for her, Alex has her friends who are working tirelessly to figure out what is going on, and trying to find any means they can to help Alex and get her back home safely. You really need to read this book and find out all the exciting details for yourself. Trust me, you’re going to love it! Ms. Sinclair has managed to make this story even better than the others in this series. Every time she has written a story, it has proved to be even better than the last. Somehow Ms. Sinclair finds a way to outdo herself with each new story, that’s what makes her such a great author and storyteller. As I mentioned, this story is a continuation of the thread of storyline from the previous books, which Ms. Sinclair has woven together into a wonderfully rich and spellbinding tale. Her world building skills are excellent, the worlds she creates are exquisite, very vividly detailed, and are given life by her masterful word craft. The characters are fantastic- they have depth, complexity, are very believable; and have grown and developed over the course of the series. We’ve watched on as they have embarked on this journey; discovering themselves, exploring their abilities, and have learnt to truly appreciate and trust one another along the way. I also felt that this story was sexier and spicier that the others. This book had a great pace, flowed well and I read it in one sitting. I love that there is a promise of more books to come in this series and I can’t wait.
“Only” by Parker Sinclair is book three of the Alex Conner Chronicles. I am happily giving this continuation of Alex Conner’s adventures a five star rating!!! Ms. Sinclair paints a stunningly unique and rich world. She truly brings her world to life with vivid descriptions of Avalon, both inside the castle and out. Her dream sequences are terrifying and “real” in the sense that they convey a real feeling of being in a dream. Alex is a strong, competent, sympathetic woman who I had no trouble relating to. Ms Sinclair’s writing highlights these strengths while also giving Alex enough foibles to make her feel real. With great attention to detail where needed and full broad strokes where detail is not needed, Ms Sinclair paints a wonderful picture of Alex and her companions. There is an amazing amount of detail captured in Ms Sinclair’s words which really bring these characters and this book to life. Because of this, I had a lot of fun reading this book. It was very hard to put down. Ms Sinclair’s flair for detail brings the characters and settings to life. However, I must say that this book is best read with the first two, in order. As much as I enjoyed this book, it is not a “stand alone”. While reading the first two is, of course, optional, I would highly recommend it. Although, Ms Sinclair makes a valiant attempt to bring new readers up to speed, there is just too much detail and too many things going on in the first two books to do justice to them. There are many glances back into the past, and they are indeed intriguing, But, again, there was so much going on that Ms Sinclair depended on the reader having read the first two books. Putting that aside, however, Ms. Sinclair has written one heck of a good read. I really loved the depth and width of it and would love to read more from this author.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles book three by Parker Sinclair a fab four star read. This is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicles an urban fantasy/Magical Realism series with magic, heart, sensuality and mystery. This story will keep you in the edge of your seat, there is so much going on that it could be overwhelming but the author does a great job at keeping it all together and the story flowing it’s a natural progression to the story. Alex Conner should really be having a nice relaxing time, her life hasn’t been all that smooth recently and she has had a hard life all the way through the chronicles. The King of the Fae has no intention of allowing her rest, he has plans for her that means he will use whatever means necessary to get her to get him what he wants. The problems arise when Alex’s reality is twisted by the King and she starts to forget things, like who she is and who’s important to her. Those important to her Alex’s friends are all unique in their own way, they are all hunting for her the problem is when they find her will she want to go with them? This story will keep you hooked from the first page to the last, each story in the chronicle gets better and better, there is a depth that comes with each book, and the more you get to know the background characters the better you understand the story as a whole.
After everything Earthen Protector & Healer Alex Conner has gone through and faced, you would defiantly think she deserves some good down time. But instead she finds herself being captured and held by the King of the Fae, and he will not let her go until he gets everything she wants.
When an alternate reality tangles her in confusions in which slowly brings her to forgetting who she really is and forgetting the ones that she loves. Will Alex finally give the Fae King everything he needs?
Even if she does manage to escape from the prison she is being held, will she be able to pick up from where she left off with Her Ryan? Will Alex be able to control her new-found power, that she never knew she had. Or will she forever be entangled in a realm where the ruler is holding her captive and someone she holds dear and is hell-bent on revenge?
This is the second book I have read by Parker Sinclair, and I think it can be read as a stand-alone, as I didn’t feel as though I was lost within the story. But not having read the first two in this series I would recommend reading the rest of this series, so that detail, and flashback that occur in this book don’t get too confusing, but I still felt that the story flowed, wasn’t rushed and carried on at an excellent pace.
Parker Sinclair really captivates the reader from the start with this thrilling, action packed, mystery, suspenseful sexy read. I love this great take on the fantasy world with the added romance twist to the story. The whole time reading this book I wasn’t only captivated by the story line and the characters but the vivid descriptions of the surrounding and scenes taking place throughout the story.
I loved reading the alternate reality that Alex gets put in by the King Fae’s powers, they are so real and vivid even as the reader it’s hard to decide whether what is happening is real or not. With a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this book, you can guarantee as the reader you will feel every character’s emotion, as though you are their along with them, and you will most defiantly find yourself entranced and totally captivated. Parker Sinclair writes this book so vividly you can’t help but get entranced by this book and fully emerge yourself in this action-packed fantasy world.
I loved how this book was written, from the various chapter heading or getting it in a characters POV as you got the thoughts and feelings of that characters and what was going on from their POV and what their story was too tell. Already from just reading this book in the series I already feel as though I know and have connected with the characters.
All the characters within this book are real, have depth and are great secondary characters that make this book even more great. I can’t wait to see if their stories develop further.
Alex is an incredible strong, powerful character, with a great personality that separates her from the others. She not only knows what she wants but she can be really determined, and that one thing she id determined not to do is give the King what he really wants. I loved reading the journey she takes from finding out about her new powers. She has some incredible friendships, in which if it wasn’t for them that she wouldn’t be where she is today, but she is also aware how much danger she is in, and putting her friends at risk is something she doesn’t like to do. She is caring, considerate, an incredible protector of all. She is powerful and headstrong and a force to reckoned with.
This was a great addition to this series, that even only reading two books I can really see how great this series is and how much more it can develop into. This is a great high fantasy, sexy romantic read that will entrance you and captivate you from the very beginning and I can’t wait to see what else Parker Sinclair will bring!
Only: The Alex Connor Chronicles Book Three by Parker Sinclair is the third book in her The Alex Connor Chronicles series. This is a fantasy story with a twist of romance added to it. I would recommend that you read the previous two books in this series. It will help you with background information on the characters in this story and where they are at. This story has a few twists and turns that you will enjoy, it has the mystery, suspense element to it that you will find page popping. The one thing I enjoy about this author is her ability to take her characters and bring them to life. They are true to life and connectable. Her attention to detail is just as amazing whether it is her characters and the surroundings in the book. Find out what happens to Alex in this next installment of her series as she takes on a new discovery about herself.
Alex Connor is a sassy, sexy hybrid Earthen Protector and Healer. You would think that she would need some down time after everything she has been through but someone disagrees with you. She finds herself trapped by the king of the Fae. He believes that she has something that he wants and he wants it now. When she starts forgetting who she is and those that she loves, will she unwittingly give the king what he wants? If she escapes will she ever be able to pick up where she once left off with Adonis Ryan? Can she control the power she never knew she welded until now? Will she be entangled in a realm with a ruler that is bent on entrapping her and the one person she holds so dear forever? Will it be life or death that has to be chosen?
The character of Alex is a sassy, attitude woman who has determination to get what she wants. She is determined not to give the king what he wants. What will happen when she realizes this new found control she has? She is a strong character that just takes action and charge when she needs to. She has great support in her friends. One is just as loyal as the other not only to just Alex but to each other. They all have the same mission and that is to bring Alex home safely. But that is the problem, can they bring her home safely or is the danger just to much for them? The one thing that I can say about Alex and her friends is that they have grown so much since the first book. They have had journeys that made them better people and characters and their discovering of themselves and each other. Find out will the king get what he wants from her and if so what will happen to her? Will her life ever be the same again? But the big question is will she and her friends find a way to set her free and will she find her way back to her true love?
This is my third book by Parker Sinclair and I have enjoyed each and every one I have read. I can't wait to see what she will come out with next. Parker lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and children. She works as an educational counselor when she is not writing. Growing up words demanded to flow out of her and she used any means necessary to get it on paper. I enjoyed how this book is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged until the end. I had a hard time putting it down in parts. I highly recommend this book as I know you will want to see what happens with Alex next and if she is will ever get free of this king.
****4stars**** Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book 3 by Parker Sinclair
Book 3 in Parker Sinclair’s Alex Conner Chronicles series, Only, is a 4 star fantasy action adventure. This book follows Alex during her captivity by the Fae King in Avalon. Alex’s friends try everything possible to save her by gathering their powers and joining forces. While Alex is held prisoner, she is drugged and put through imaginary experiences that the king hopes will gain him information and secrets, while also slowly erasing Alex’s memories of who and what she really is. Alex gains support in unlikely forms and is able to find hope and strength in unexpected ways. Stressful and dangerous things happen, lives are put at risk and people are hurt.
This book picks up where the last book in the series left off. Alex continues to learn more of what she is capable of and embrace her strength, while still facing the weaknesses and vulnerabilities she has as a result of opening her heart and life to those she cares for. The book is very descriptive and Avalon is made to feel like a real place that I would like to explore. The characters, both old and new, were strong and almost fearless. The added passionate moments brought a little romance to the story, however on a couple occasions it seemed out of place and unnecessary. This book didn't seem to start as strong as I'd hoped and I found myself skimming a lot of the first half of the book. The story did pick up in the second half and I was able to get more deeply involved in everything that was going on. You'd definitely need to read the other books in the series before reading this one, otherwise you'd likely feel very confused and would have missed a lot of the backstory of the characters. This is a good continuation of Alex’s story and I'd recommend it for anyone who enjoys action-filled fantasy books.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book Three By: Parker Sinclair 5 out of 5 stars
The story Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book Three by Parker Sinclair is a fantasy/romance book. This is the continuing story of Alex Conner. When I read the first book in this series I fell in love with the character of Alex Conner and each book afterward only make me love her more. She has had such a hard life, however, has grown up to be a wonderful woman who has a large heart and always thinks of others. She is also smart, sassy, and takes action when she needs to. This story finds Alex taken by the King of the Fae. He is determined to get Alex to help him and will use any means necessary in order to do so. Can Alex thwart the King’s plans?
Alex is not alone. She has her friends that are always there for her and they immediately begins the job of finding and rescuing her. They use all of their skills and magic. Alex’s friends are a group that is fiercely loyal both to her and to each other. Nothing will stop them from their mission to bring Alex home. What will the final outcome be? Will Alex be able to resist the King as well as keep her friends safe? Will Alex escape the clutches of the King and put an end to his evil plans? I have always loved fantasy books and I love how authors weave their tales around worlds and characters that come from the author’s imagination. This author has created a story with characters that will have your imagination running wild. Her attention to detail is amazing. I have read all three of the books in the series and I highly recommend reading them in order. This is one author that has a wonderful way of weaving stories and I can’t wait to read what she writes next.
I give Only (The Alex Conner Chronicles, book 3) by Parker Sinclair, 5 stars. **This review may contain spoilers of previous books in the series.**
Alex Conner has been trapped in a cage by the King of the Fae. She has been here for what feels like forever. She has no way of escaping on her own, he has somehow taken away her ability to use her powers. Not to mention the fact that he keeps drugging her. Each time the drug kicks in, she ends up in a dream world with the King. Turns out he is trying to find something out from her. But this drug is also able to make her forget who she is or whom her friends are.
He almost succeeded too. Some of her friends are finally able to contact her through the dream world. It isn’t very long, but enough to give her a token that helps her remember herself. It is the only way she can keep her sanity. She had thought all was lost. But she has fought too hard for too long, she will not give up now.
This visit renews her hope. Maybe just maybe, her friends will be able to find a way to get to her in real life and rescue her. And just maybe she has more friends and allies than she thought she had. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Or will this crazy king finally get what he wants?
This was a very good book. I have to admit that I started the series on this book, so I was a bit confused in the beginning. I highly recommend starting this series from the beginning. However, it did not take me long to get into the story and I could not put it down. The people and story pulled me right in. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to read fantasy, supernatural romance, books. You will quite openly this series.
Only is the third book in the Alex Connor chronicles and follows on from book two where Alex was kidnapped by the Fae King. Can Alex escape the clutches of the King and not given in to the demands he has forced on her or will she not have a choice?
Alex is a newly discovered Hybrid Earthen Protector who is just trying to process the new powers she has, but before she knows what has happened to her she is kidnapped and slung in a cage in the Fae kingdom. While Alex is locked up the Fae king wants something from Alex but she is determined to hold out and not give in. But it is becoming harder for her to keep her resolve as each time she is give the drug concoction she is losing her memories of her loyal friends and her life as she knows it.
As time goes on the dream world starts to become the reality and that the Fae king is slowly wearing her down until Alex sees some of her friends who give her an incentive to carry on and resist the king and his advances. As the story continues poor Alex is put into various situations where she sees new and old friends fight to risk their lives to help.
I will echo the other reviews you really can’t read this as a stand-alone book as the other two books give a lot of the back story and brings you into the world of Avalon and Alex’s struggle so far. Parker Sinclair has brought us back into the world of fantasy and it is also a pleasure reading the adventures of this strong, loving young woman. All her characters including the secondary characters has guts and fire and you feel part of the story as you read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Only (The Alex Chronicles Book 3) by: Parker Sinclair 5 Stars Only is book three of The Alex Chronicles and if y know u have not read the first two in this series I urge you to. There is so much back story in the first two it will make reading book three more enjoyable. It has been great to see how the characters have grown in each book especially Alex. Alex Connor has had a hard life, but that has made her grow into a compassionate woman who has a big heart and is always trying to do the right thing. She has a group of loyal friends and her love life is complicated. She is a Earthen Protector and Healer who only does good. The story picks up from book two where the King of the Fae takes her hostage, and he needs her to find someone ans will do anything in his powers to make that happen. The King has taken away Alex's powers and keeps her drugged, the drug also is making her forget who she is and who her friends are. He is manipulating her dreams and she k owns that she cannot trust what she sees. Alex must try to escape her prision and help the person who the King searches for before he finds them. Will Alex be able to escape. Will her friends be a b let to bring her back to who she was before. Is she doomed to tell the King what he wants to know. Read and find out. In my opinion this is the best book in the series so far. I cannot wait to see if the author continues the series. The characters are very well thought out and so is the story line. The author makes you believe that you are part of the story and that is what makes a good book great.
This is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicles. I highly recommend that you read the first two books before you delve into this one. Unfortunately I didn’t and I was confused most of the time. There is so much history between Alex and the other characters that I couldn’t truly appreciate where they were at now because I hadn’t read the others. That is completely my fault and not the author’s so I decided to rate it four stars. It is an exciting fantasy adventure filled with danger and craziness.
The Fae King kidnaps Alex and holds her hostage in Avalon. Her friends spend the entire book trying to save her. Alex unfortunately is drugged quite often and starts to forget who she is. She knows how to take care of herself and makes some unlikely allies. With the help from her new friends, she gets on top of her situation. Unfortunately, bad things happen and certain situations can’t be avoided. No matter what she tries, people get hurt.
Parker Sinclair does an amazing job of capturing the essence of her characters. Alex is an extremely strong and capable woman who still has weaknesses which makes her all the more real. The descriptions and details in her writing brought Avalon to life. It sounds like a beautiful yet terrifying place.
This is the third book that I have read from this author. Parker Sinclair is an awesome writer who never disappoints. Her books, including this one, are always well written. I’m looking forward to reading more from her.
Only; The Alex Conner Chronicles book Three is of course duh book three in The Alex Conner Chronicles by Parker Sinclair. Now I just have to say Alex is my kind of character. She is the heroine I want to be. I mean she can do all this amazing stuff and yet she still knows how to let her friends help. It’s not like she’s just a one man show. She’s this goddess or something but she like doesn’t have any ugly friend they are all great too. And the men in these books just WOW.
Now if you haven’t read the first two books in this series you are doing yourself a grave disservice because with the way Sinclair writes she has so many twists and turns to her plots that you will truly be missing out on the overall experience. That is not to say you cannot read this alone. It is still a great read just better I think with the buildup and the back so to speak.
Only finds Alex in deep trouble with a Fae king who wants something from her and she has to figure it out without losing herself or putting all she loves and values at risk. That’s a little hard to do when she keeps forgetting where she is and what she’s doing. But she has friends. Great ones. Ones she wants to protect that are willing to do anything to save her. But what if that’s what the king wants? You just have to read this and find out how everything turns out. Parker Sinclair tells an epic story with vivid characters you can see and relate to.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book Three by Parker Sinclair is a paranormal romance that I gave 4 stars. I highly recommend reading the series in order to get the full history as this book is a continuation of the adventures of the sexy hybrid Earthen Protector and Healer Alex Conner, This novel is written in first person POV by the main character, Alex.
No rest for the wicked, as Alex is kidnapped by the King of the Fae. He needs her in more ways than one, and Alex is determined not to help despite the confusing tricks he has up his sleeve. Luckily her loyal friends set out to find & rescue her immediately before the Fae King has her on her knees giving in to his will. Can Alex resist the King’s charms? Alternate realities cause much chaos wrecking havoc with Alex’s mind, thwarting all her attempts to resist the Fae King. Will she forget who she is, and her mission to protect? Will she forget about Ryan and her friends? If this mind bender isn’t enough to deal with, she also has a new power that she needs to learn how to control before someone gets hurt. What will become of the sassy Earthen Protector?
Another great story, it is beautiful to read how Alex grows throughout this series. She is such a strong sassy heroine, and her gang of loyal friends are along for another fabulous ride in this installment. Alex truly is a protector of all, caring for her friends while attempting to defeat her latest foe. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
Only by Parker Sinclair is the third book in The Alex Connor Chronicles Series, and honestly it's the best one in the series! This story of fantasy and romance, I would definitely read the first two books in the series before starting this one. There's tons of background information on the characters and it adds to the story. There's new twists and turns that are thrown into the mix, and Parker Sinclair has created a beautiful web of mystery, fantasy, romance and supense all wrapped up into one series. It's absolutely amazing, another 5 star read!
Alex Connor is a sassy hybrid Earthen Protector and Healer, she's always on the move and now she finds herself trapped by the King of Fae, he thinks she knows something and he wants to know what it is. Now Alex is starting to forget things, like who she is, who she loves, and now she's thinking about giving the King what he wants. She's ready to get away from him and pick up where she left off with Ryan. Alex is always finding more power within herself that she didn't know she had. Will this time be different? Will she be able to save herself again?
One thing that I love about this series, is watching Alex grow. She's gone from unsure of herself, to confident and in control of herself. She's got even more powers than before and now she's getting even stronger, not just with her powers but within herself. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Only by Parker Sinclair is the third book in the Alex Connor Chronicles. I would definitely recommend reading the other books in order (book 1- Trust, book 2 – Truth, and a novella – Forbidden). Without reading the previous books in the series you will be extremely lost. Sinclair has written amazing characters that you can relate with. I felt like Alex’s friends could be match my own group of friends in my life.
Alex Conner is an amazingly character. She's comfortable in her own skin and is an awesome fighter. She is half Earthen protector and half Earthen Healer. She's had a hard life and endured entirely too much. She's had to grow up fast and with constantly changing lifestyles. She is endured more than most will ever know and it seems like lately everything has gone crazy. Her adult life should be should have been easier than how she grew up but her earthen powers won't let that happen. Can Alex it escape her captor in one piece?
I really enjoyed reading this series. It has kept me on the edge of my seat with many nights including more reading than sleep. Only is a fantasy/romance book and it begins exactly where book two ends. Sinclair’s writing gets better with each book in the series. Also these books are full of details and the writing is so vivid that I feel like I'm really there shadowing Alex. I can't wait to see what Parker Sinclair comes out with next!
Only by Parker Sinclair is book three of the Alex Conner Chronicles and should not be read as a stand alone or you will be lost as to what is going on in the book. Once again Parker hits the nail on the head with a great storyline and details that flow right from the page. It makes sure you don’t put the book down.I have loved all of these books so far and Parker Sinclair does not disappoint in this book just like the other two.
It follows Alex Conner and her journey in learning herself and what powers she possesses as a hybrid Earthen Protector. Though she is a wanted woman and has a target painted on her back by the King of Avalon Lestans’ father and the king of the Fae.
Suddenly her world darkens and she is taken to an unknown location that reminds her of a morgue. Except it's a cell in a dungeon locked by magic and she has one a bracelet that suppresses her powers. It seems the king wants something only Alex can give him will she break down and give in? Slowly she starts forgetting about those who are searching for he from back home especially Sandra who has prophetic powers, but the messages are about as clear as mud when they come through. Then there is Ryan the hunk and love of her life. Will she ever escape captivity and will she be able to control her new power of life and death?
Parker Sinclair's Only is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicles. Per the synopsis, this is an urban adult fantasy/magical realism series with magic, heart, sensuality, and mystery. This is a not a standalone story, you must read the previous two books (Trust: Book One and Truth: Book Two) before reading Only. Without reading these books first, you will be missing important back story and supporting themes that have brought the character(s) to where they are now.
This is a truly developed and well thought out series. Earn Protector and Healer Alex Conner continues to grow as we progress through the series despite all that has transpired around this character. Alex Conner is at an impasse where important decisions must be made and she may or may not make the right one, so much confusion surrounds her.
There is a wonderful cast of characters in this book, as well as, the series, adding the beautiful dynamic of this story. The main character is sassy and feisty, which is part of her allure. The author has done an excellent job in catching and maintaining my attention throughout this story. This series is the first that I have read by this author and I am glad that I took the chance on reading this story/series. Alternate realities, powers, fantasy and magic – a well written fantasy for the reader to enjoy!
Only is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicle Book series by this author. In this book we have Alex and her friends thinking that things have or should be calm but that is simply not the case and things quickly turn. Alex is kidnapped by the Fae King of Avalon and every one of her friends is scrambling to figure out how to get her back and away from him. Thinking that the king has taken her because he blames her for his son's death (which if you've read book two, we know all about!) this is simply not the case. The king is looking for information from her and will go to extreme measures to be able to get it. What will be left of Alex's mind when the king is through with her? Will he break this amazingly strong sassy Earthen Protector hybrid? Will she be able to pick up where she left with her gorgeous man Ryan? The ups and downs in this book are many. You completely feel the sadness and sorrow of Alex's friends in trying to help her. The question is, can they stop the in fighting and actually come up with a solution that will free Alex from the king's clutches with her mind and body still intact? Can Alex learn to harness the new powers within her to help save herself and those she loves? Only time will tell. I would give this book a 4 star rating. It is a really good book in this series.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles by Parker Sinclair is the third book in the series and shouldn’t be read alone. Read the first two books before you read the third one. You may not understand what is going on if you just pick up the third book and start reading in the middle of the series. This book is part romance and part fantasy at the same time. Parker Sinclair has done an amazing job of taking characters from the fictional fantasy world and incorporating them into a romance novel that spans a series. This novel is one of my favorites because you find that the heroine who needs a break doesn’t get one because she is trapped by a fae kind. Not only will you fall in love with the characters that you loved as a child, but as an adult, you will rediscover that love for those characters. Who doesn’t love a little bit of fantasy mixed with romance? Its every kid and now adults dream to read about a heroine that can set out on an adventure and see the different places. Sinclair describes the places and characters in her novels as though she has been there and wants her readers to know first-hand how magical and wonderful they are by describing them to use. Her characters are the result of a wonderful imagination that proves to use that it’s okay to have.
Only by Parker Sinclair is the third book in the Alex Connor Chronicles. It's is a fantasy action adventure story that can be read as a stand alone book. But it seems a lot has happened before that would intrigue the reader into wanting to read the first two books as I will be sure to do.
Alex Connor has been captured and imprisoned by the King Of the Fae. He wants something from her and she has to figure a way out before, using his powers, he gets it and has no further use for her. She has been stripped of her abilities but, luckily, has friends who are trying everything they can to get her out.
There is truly a fantasy feel to this book and the elements of danger and mystery are extremely compelling. It has great world building detail and, even though there are books before this, I did not feel that there was missing chunks that would make it hard to read. It felt like a really epic adventure was unfolding and the characters are strong and sassy. I also enjoyed that it has some steamy and sexy parts to it.
Alex is a heroine that you will love. She is strong, witty and easy to identify with.
I really enjoyed this book as with other fantasy fans I'm sure and I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles Book Three by Parker Sinclair is an interesting read. The book is a bit of fantasy and science fiction combined with a touch of romance. I read this after reading a novella from the series and have to say read the books in order to really enjoy. I felt like a fish out of water at first but soon grew to love the character of Alex Conner. She has had a tough past but has kept working past it. I am going to go and read the other two books to fill in the blanks for myself now. Alex is tough but sassy. She is an Earthen Protector and healer who cannot keep her life from being total chaos. In this book, she is up against the King of the Fae. He has taken her captive and the only way to get free is to give the king what he wants. There are some alternate realities at play here also that are confusing Alex and making her life more difficult. If she does not follow the right path she could lose everything including her memories. The writing is well done and I was drawn into the story despite not having read more of the series. I am intrigued enough to go back and start on book one and see where I go from there. Alex is a great character. She is smart, sassy, and does not give up easily. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
“Only” by Parker Sinclair is the third book in the Alex Conner Chronicles and continues the harrowing magical journey that has keeps readers glued to their Kindles.
Alex Conner can never catch a break. Instead of a moment to herself, the Earthen Protector is kidnapped by the king of the Fae to be used for sinister plans. Will Alex’s friends be able to save her or will Alex be trapped in a dark realm forever?
Parker Sinclair continues to weave fantasy and action with dashes of romance and does not disappoint. I’ve read series in the past where the books have lost continuity and the story felt forced. The author keeps the same pace throughout the series and continues to stay true to her character’s voices. Readers are taken on Alex’s journeys with her – not merely reading words on a page. The story is told in alternating points of view and allows the reader to feel connected to the other characters and not just Alex. They all support each other (story wise) and make for a more complex world.
This series needs to be read in order. The storyline evolves with each book and so many details would be missed if a reader started partway in. The Alex Conner Chronicles are worth starting at the beginning! This isn’t my normal genre but I will one-click everything this author writes.
Only : The Alex Conner Chronicles Book 3 by Parker Sinclair Four Stars
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles is the third book in this series by Parker Sinclair and it is a fantasy/romance. This is the continuing story of Alex Conner and therefore should be read in the correct order. If you jump in in the middle of the series you may be confused. This author shows great imagination in the character descriptions and story line. I love the twists and turns this installment takes.
Alex Conner find herself a prisoner of the King of the Fae, who need information from Alex and will get it by any means necessary. She needs to stall the King while she figures out how to get away from him or give her friends time to rescue her. While she is in captivity she slow start forgetting who she is and her loved ones. Alex is determined to not let the king get what he wants and discovers a power she didn't realize she had.
Will the King get what he wants? Will Alex’s friends get there in time to help her? Will they all be able to get back out of the realm they are in? Will Alex be able to find her way back to true love? These are just a few of the thing you will find while reading this book. I have truly enjoyed this series and look forward to reading more from this author.
Only is my first book by Parker Sinclair that I have read. I know it's the third in the series but I wasn't lost while reading this story. But I do plan on going back and reading the first story and the second one as well. I really enjoyed reading Only. There was so much magical into one story. The journey is what kept me glued to the story.
Alex is one of my favorite characters but she can never catch a break for herself. She finds herself trapped by the king and the king will not let her go until he gets what he wants but will she find a way to escape or will her friends be able to help her escape?
The story is well written with characters you will fall to like. If you like action and fantasy this book is definitely for you. There is also some romance involved as well. A great story to pick up and read.
I really enjoyed the 3rd and final book of The Alex Connor Chronicles. There was a lot of fighting action as well is in the bedroom action. I admit it is not as amazing as the first 2 books, but it's still a 5 star read.
Only: The Alex Conner Chronicles by Parker Sinclair is book three in the series and can not be read as a standalone, it is important to read the first two books plus the novella first to understand anything that is going on in this book. The story picks up where both book two and the novella ended, with Alex being snached up by The King of The Fae after Justin was killed. It turns out that the King is a bit psychotic and has been an unjust ruler. While imprisoned Alex finds allies in unexpected people who want the King gone more than she does. Alex learns that the reason behind her imprisonment is because the King is using her to help him locate someone who doesn't want to be found, someone whom she loves but he won't directly tell who he's after. Alex must figure a way out of imprisonment, a way to help her allies, and a way to protect the mystery person that the King is seeking.
This was a great book as were all the other books in this series. As usual the author did an amazing job keeping me hooked and on the edge of my seat eager to find out what happens next. This book is packed full of adventure, love, betrayal and magic. All of our favorite character from the other books are in this book as well. Alex is still having a hard time trying to figure out her love life...is it Ryan she wants….or Logan... I’m personally on Team Ryan and hope they figure it out. This story is told in first person through multiple points of view. This book is not the end of the series and does end with some what if a cliffhanger. I can not wait to see what happens in the next book, I'll be waiting very impatiently! I give this book 5 stars.
The conclusion of the Alex Conner Chronicles is the story of Earthen Protector and Healer, Alex. This tells more about her capture by the Fae King and what he really wants from her. He is also giving her medicines to wipe out her memories and had blocked her powers.
Alex feels it hasn't been long since the Fae king got her but in reality it's been weeks. Sandra, Ryan, Dana, and now Logan and Jax are worried sick and have even tried to pop into that dimension and break her out. When they do manage to pop in it's like the king knew they were coming and was right there. To make Alex suffer for it, he starts attacking their family and friends.
It also appears that Alex isn't alone in Avalon like she thought. The shape shifter, Thatcher, is able to come to her and she then finds out the king's daughter, Verus, hates her father and wants him dead. They have to finds a way to get her powers unblocked. This is a very good read with all the just thinking she's gonna get free to oops maybe not yet. Something is always hanging things up and a new plan must be thought up. Alex wonders if her new allies are true and if her old friends have given up. Will Ryan still want a relationship with her when it's all said and done and will they really be able to kill the evil king.
Only: The Alex Connor Chronicles book 3 Four stars This was an interesting read. Different in a good way. I was confused some what when the scenes changed. But it didn’t take too much away from my enjoyment of this book. I recommend reading the first two books first. I didn’t think about that when I started reading this book. So I was a little lost in the beginning. It’s a lot at first when you just jump right in but I liked it without the knowing the back story. The author offered US something unique and compelling. If you’re interested in other world reading and magic this is a good series for that. Alex is a strong character who is scared to be soft and scared at times. But when it was needed her back was made of steel. I will go back to read the first two books because I would like to know what happened to Justin. Her relationship with Valant is intriguing also. Then there is Ryan. Can you say oh la la. Definitely a series worth picking up to give a try. The authors style was smooth and had a very good dialogue.
