名气很大的书，但实在是不好看。主要是作者叙述太琐碎，里面穿插着大量与主线无关的细节，有点喧宾夺主的意味。另外，听别人说，里面也存在很多基本史料的错误。看来，写历史书不是写小说，光有热情是远远不够的。如果非要说有什么优点的话：一是里面讲了很多国民党的历史桥段，算是给抗日战争和解放战争的宏大历史中补上了属于国民党的拼图；二是里面并没有矮化日本或国民党人，他们不是傻子，也有很多精兵强将，历史的胜利也有很多偶然因素。
