Things every woman should inherently know: Don’t Fall In Love With A ROCKSTAR.
Things every Rockstar should remember without fail: Don’t Fall in Love With A Woman Who Loves Her Privacy.
But sometimes we need to learn things the hard way.

Cadence:
I’ve done everything right when it comes to gathering emotional baggage and living a hermit lifestyle.

Have break up to end all break ups: check!
Vigorously avoid all men for 8 years: check!
Meet sexiest rock star alive...hate him on sight: check! ...or so I thought.
I want to hate him, but there’s something about Sebastian that is just impossible to resist. Not that I haven’t tried. But try being on the receiving end of those bottomless jade green eyes, knowing its attached to that ripped body, I’d like to see how long you’d hold out. He’s special. And something about him makes me want to tear down all my walls. It could be how he knows his way around the stage, my bed and my body, or the irresistible offer that he’s making that could change my life forever.
But it would mean letting go of a past that just won’t let ME go.

Sebastian:
Seriously, lusting after a woman who’s sworn off men? I should know better.

But I can’t help it. I can feel it in my heart, my music, my coc-, er, my body, that she’s special. That smart and sexy brunette, who understands me more than I do myself.
I just have to get her to admit that she feels the same. And I will do whatever it takes.
Money and fame is nothing if I can’t use it to get what I want.
And I want her.
In my arms, in my bed, in my life.
Ironically, my fame’s the one thing she doesn’t want, and the world isn’t letting her forget it.

So what happens when Sebastian’s burning desire for Cadence clashes with her crippling fear of scrutiny?
Find out in this hot and steamy Rockstar romance - Book One in the Rock Chamber Boys series.

A really sweet yet very different kind of romance novel. Not everything is all flowers and unicorns here and the storyline is an unusual one. Also there is still a question left at the end (no its not a cliffhanger – just something along the storyline I wonder about …)
In total a recommendable read.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Daisy Allen last year and received a copy of her book Play Me. This story is addictive, I picked it up and couldn't put it down for an entire day! The main character is relatable and sassy and the male lead is funny, sexy, and interesting. Daisy masterly weaves her story with music, laughter, and just the right amount of drama to have you hanging on the edge of your seat until the crescendo of an ending. Definitely a must-read!

Love it!!

So different, a classical music turned rock romance. I found the premise interesting and the fact the band is all strings. No vocals, just beautiful music. Cadence is a wonderful female lead too, a music teacher with vast talent. A love story, a rockstar romance with a twist. Brilliant, I want more.

Delightfully Different

I had this book sitting in my tbr for awhile and thought it was one of many rock star books on my list only to be pleasantly surprised that it was not the norm. Yes there are four hot guys in No Strings Attached, but instead of your standard band, you have two cellist and two violinist who combine the classics or Chamber Music with Rock and Pop and visa-versa.
Cellist Sebastian meets Cadence a local high school music teacher in a music store where they are both reaching for the last box of rosin and the sparks fly. Daisy Allen has written a fast paced book that is at times hilariously funny, sweet and sexy. The rest of the musicians along with Cadence 's bff and students bring this story to life. There is a serious episode that Cadence endures not once but twice that I wish had more closure, but it does not take away from the enjoyment of this story. I hope there are books on the rest of the guys in the future.

4.5 Star's!!

It's been a while since I've read a Rocker genre book...and I'm glad I chose this one. Loved the storyline the type of band that they were. I don't know if you all like Rock music or not but this band reminds me of the real group called Apocalyptica. I love this group. They have a song called "Not Strong Enough" with Brent Smith from Shinedown and it's amazing.
Well anywho lol on with my review. Loved the characters, the bandmates, the lol moments with a little angst thrown in.
Can't wait to read the next book in this series. BTW first book by this author and definitely not the last.
I did see a quote I loved in this book that Sebastian said to Cadence and here it is....
"You might be walking out that door, but don't forget , you're still my here, there, everywhere and in between......"
I highly recommend this book.
Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis

This story was so good. Just enough flirt to make my heart pitter-patter. Just enough banter to make me smile, laugh, and make me fall in love with the band members. Just enough intrigue to keep me wanting to know more. Allen has woven a great tale with this book. I can't wait to read on!

I honestly don't know if I can express how much I loved Play Me but I'm sure going to try to! If I could give it more than five stars I definitely would. Play Me took me on an emotional collercoaster ride and I enjoyed every moment of it. I found myself smiling, laughing, and crying throughout this book. I am new to Daisy Allen's books but will have to check out more of her books after reading Play Me. I am thrilled to have found this amazing author and can't wait to read more of her books!
After finding himself in trouble as a teen Sebastian DuPont began playing his cello with his best friends and formed the world famous No Strings Attached band. On his way to a performance Sebastian realizes he needs rosin for his cello and stops at a music store. Music teacher, Cadence Bray is shopping for her class when she spots a sale on rosin and goes to grab the last box at the same time as a stranger does. The moment they touch sparks fly between them. Their initial conversation is witty and leaves quite the impression on both of them. Sebastian leaves thinking he will never see Cadence again.
Later that day Cadence's best friend convinces her to go to a No Strings Attached concert. Cadence doesn't expect to enjoy the concert because of the eclectic mix of classical and modern music. When the music starts Cadence finds herself mesmerized by the sounds she hears. Imagine her surprise when she realizes who the lead cellist is- Sebastian! When he invites her backstage a misunderstanding causes her to flee. Not knowing what happened Sebastian is determined to find Cadence again. When he does they strike a deal where he will donate money to her school's music program in exchange for Cadence playing the piano for their upcoming album.
While I enjoy rockstar romances this book was so much more than that. The author's writing style paints such a vivid picture that you feel like you are there listening to the slide of the bow across the cello. The emotions and feelings are so descriptive that it's almost like the scene is unfolding right before you. The characters are amazing and they pull you in from the first page and won't let go until they have shared their story with you. I have fallen for the men of Rock Chamber Boys and can't wait to read more. I highly recommend you pick up this brilliantly emotional must read book!

Sebastian is a cellist who plays for the Rock Chamber boys, a group that combines classical music and rock music. He and his friends are on the way to their next performance. He needs to buy roisin for his bow and goes to the music store. When he is reaching for the last container, he finds a beautiful woman reaching for it too. The two get into a sparring argument and Sebastian sneaks off with the roisin. Cadence is very angry and steams about it all day. Her best friend has something to cheer her up tickets to the Rock Chamber boys concert. Cadence is unsure of their style of music but loves it once they are there. She is shocked to see the roisin thief up on stage.
Sebastian has been in a strange mood since he met Cadence. He can't stop thinking about her. When he runs into her during the intermission, he asks her out. The chemistry between the two is sparking hot. However Cadence doesn't want to date a famous musician because of all the attention and publicity. Sebastian just won't let her go and convinces her to give him a try.
This is a good book about a famous musician who wasn't stuck up. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Cellist Sebastian arrives with his Grammy award-winning string quartet in Australia for a 10 week stay to do a concert, work on the arrangements and record their next album. Sebastian meets gorgeous music teacher Cadence and can't stop thinking about her. Sebastian learns where Cadence works so he can ask her out and finds her playing the piano in a classroom. When Cadence refuses to get involved with Sebastian, they start talking and Sebastian finds out that the school doesn't have enough money to take the students to the National School Orchestra Competition in Canberra. Sebastian makes a proposition ... Sebastian will donate $50 000 to the school’s music program if Cadence plays the piano for a few of the band's tracks. Cadence agrees and they get to know each other during practices. Sebastian's patience pays off when he's able to charm Cadence into dating him, but when Cadence's past rears its ugly head, she breaks things off. Will Sebastian be able to convince Cadence that they belong together?

Daisy Allen delivers a funny, sweet and steamy story that will tug at your heart strings.

It's always amazing to discover new authors and it's even better to fall in love again with a new series.
Daisy Allen is a new author and when I got the opportunity to read her books I didn't hesitate. I just started and I fell in love.
Play Me is the first book from the Rock Chamber Boys series and tells the stories of Sebastian and Cadence.
Sebastian is one sexy French dude, hot has hell that with his best friends plays in a band. They aren't a normal band, they don't sing, just play. And everyone loves them. When his path crossed with a beautiful woman at a music store...
Cadence is a music teacher that lives for her music and kids. She decided her life to music and she's happy. When one mysterious guy stoles the last Pirazzi rosin.
OMG. I freaking got loved this book.
These two were meant to be together.
It's was a very well written story, super funny, hot and engaging. I loved the interaction between the main characters as well as the other band members.
It was exquisite to hear this book because I ventured into Audible. Lol
It was the perfect way to pass my days driving from and to work.
Fantastic book Daisy. And I can't wait to dig into the next one.

Is all I can say about his book by Daisy Allen. It's the first one that I have read by this author and I can guarantee you it won't be the last. I was blown away by this story and I don't think I have smiled, laughed, cried, smiled again and laughed and once again cried so much at a book. Everything from the beginning to the end is flawless, the writing, the story, the flow, the characters, the chemistry, the banter, the steamy scenes.....all of it is amazing. I fell in love with Sebastian and Cadence right away. He was thoughtful, kind, loyal and wasn't your typical star with having women hanging off of him and him taking advantage of that fact, bedding women every which way...so refreshing!!! Cadence was a women who closed herself off after an emotional incident and Sebastian finally breaks through all those walls and she is not one to back down either, keeping the banter and pace with him and the rest of the band seamlessly.
This is one read that I won't forget for a very very very long time.....5 ++++++

I really enjoyed this story! The characters were awesome and so was the story! This is a slow build but I really loved it! Cadence and Sebastian have an instant connection that draw them together even though they aren't quite sure what to do with it. Cadence is of the mind to ignore it while Sebastian wants to explore it. There are a couple of misunderstandings but nothing too major between them. I loved the banter between Cadence, Sebastian and the rest of the band. This was a well written story with a great pace. Nothing felt rushed or too slow. It had plenty going on in it to grab my attention and hold it until the end. The sex is explicit but not super often and not early on in the story. It fit the characters and it worked for me because of that. I really loved Cadence and Sebastian and the way that Sebastian didn't push Cadence too far, too fast and the way he built their relationship. This story was very well done and I can't wait for the rest of the Rock Chamber Boys books.

This is my first book from this author and just looking at the cover had me wanting to read the story. I wish I could say that I loved this story but it just wasn't for me. Here's a few reasons why. The flow of the story was just too slow and it made the story drag. There were parts of the story that was just too redundant. I didn't need to read something from Cadence's character just to re-read Sebastian say the same thing. Most of the main characters acted immature. Sebastian, Jez, Marius, Brad, Dennis and Cadence. Cadence wants nothing to do with Seb romantically but then is jealous of Hailey. I just didn't feel the connection between Cadence and Sebastian and I needed to feel it. One thing that I absolutely loved and was surprising about this story was that the band was completely instrumental. That stood out to me because it's the first book I've read like this and when it came to the band performing the story made me feel as if I was right there watching. The ending was sweet but this story was just missing a lot of things for me that would have made it a good read.

Yes. A very different story with lots of romance and struggles to get to the HEA.
I love the aspects in this story line. The could have been part of real life anywhere.
It is a romance that is very fragile and that how life is to us. You have to take care of it. The two main characters learns that in this book.
It is very well written and sweet. I caught me from the first chapter and it surprise me more than ones. Liked the twists and turns.
The main characters are very well described and due to the dual POV you can read how they feel and think. Gives the book a more believable aspect. My emotions were often all over the place.
Absolutely worth the read!

This book is a well written and beautiful love story. It's filled with lots of emotion, the storyline is great and the characters are one that you will absolutely love. Sebastian is part of a band who has just arrived in Australia. When he makes a trip to a local music store he runs into Cadence and immediately their attraction is off the charts. Cadence is a bit on the reserved side and keeps herself well guarded. What will happen when they meet again? Can you let yourself open up when you've guarded yourself for so long? This book is full of loyalty, friendship and love. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

This book has it all: some comedy, lots of romance and some hot and sexy scenes too, a joint love of music and the dedication of a music teacher to her students as well as the love and camaraderie that the boys in the band have for their music and each other.
Having the book set in Australia was a big plus for me as I am so used to reading books set in the USA now days. If you want to read only one romance novel this year make this the one. I am looking forward to reading the next in series.

What a great emotional roller coaster of a book. The love story of Cadence, who is basically a hermit and rock star, Sebastian. The band is on location in Australia and Seb wanders into a local music store and that is where he meets Cadence. The attraction is strong between the two. This book is so well written and draws you in from the beginning. It's hard to put down, so plan on getting a drink and a comfy chair. You might even need a hanky or two. Sebastian and Cadence has great chemistry from the start when they meet in a music store. They both are after rosin and see it's the last one on the shelf. Sebastian is in a group that is all strings and no voices. They do a great job taking classical music and turn it into rock while playing. Sebastian and Cadence story will have you laughing and crying with heartbreak. You will have to read the book to see if Sebastian and Cadence gets their happy ending. Daisy Allen will not disappoint you with this story. It's not your usual rock star romance story.

Play Me

This is the first of, I believe, four books. In this you get to meet Sebastian and Cadence. He is in a string band. Not the ordinary kind, read and find out more. She is a high school music teacher in Australia. Their story has its ups and downs. There is angst and betrayal that year apart the strongest of groups. I enjoyed the journey of discovery and love in the most unlikely places. And how they were able to meld unique music talent to ignite the whole world. Can't wait to read the next book.

Ummmmmm 🤷🏻‍♀️
I just don’t know. It was a sweet story, but I felt myself forgetting they were suppose to be 26 and older. I kept feeling they were in high school. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had to keep reminding myself they are in their late 20’s. Then their issues kinda make you roll your eyes, especially Candace....I get it bad history with her ex but a lot of the time you wanna shake her and tell her to grow up. This is why I think I kept thinking they were in high school just kinda immature.
Overall it was just meh.

Loved this story, it takes off in a flash from page one and when I finally exhaled I was in chapter six. Sebastian is sexy, talented, rich and a gifted musician. He walks into a music store and runs into the love of his life. It was as simple and as complicated as that. They were both musicians and they were perfect together. Her past almost killed her and it almost happened again, but this time she had Sebastian. They had great chemistry and I just loved this story. I recommend it and can’t wait to read the next three books.

I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
Music is a universal language and this book spoke its language perfectly. A beautiful story of rockstar and teacher, public vs. private. This is my first book by Allen and I'm excited to read more from her. You can't help but love all the characters in this book! Beautifully told and highly recommended! I could almost hear the music as I read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this different take on a rockstar romance. Sebastian and Cadence met under rather amusing circumstances, but the sparks flew immediately between them. I loved how Sebastian was such a talented classical musician, where most rockers are hardcore guitar specialists. Their romance was engaging, well written, and sweet and sexy. Loved it! She had baggage from her younger days, so she wanted no man in her life, now or in the future. She had too much to loose.
It all changed one day in her favorite music shop, all over a jar of rosen.
His life was the band and the music, that was until a pair of brown eyes mesmerized him.
A story that bring up the double standards of our society.
Something that I enjoyed from first to last page.
