Paperback.

I was familiar with Thomas and his wife Brooke Goldner before buying and reading this book. I was curious to see how his proposed diet was different from hers (for different audiences depending on their health goals).

I really liked Thomas’ straightforward writing style that’s also super personable. It was fun to hear his wife’s healing journey from his perspective, too.

It was definitely a good sign that his info is results-based. He previously worked with Hollywood stars to help them get in shape. You can’t follow fad diets when you need real time results like that. Turns out plant based isn’t just a fad.

He proposes a diet high in greens for their mineral value, omega 3s, and water all for weight loss and adding in whole food carbs, plant based proteins, and plant based fats when trying to build muscle or maintain muscle.

I learned about the importance of exercise in trying to lose weight and get healthy. Most people say it’s all a matter of what you eat, but that’s not necessarily true. He estimates 50-50 in importance when it comes to exercise and diet in getting someone healthy. I rarely exercise, but I’m open to the idea 😉

His book was EXTREMELY motivating for me. It got me eating well and exercising. I definitely lost weight AND built muscle after only about a week of the program. But then my whole family caught the flu and I fell off the wagon. I’m excited to try again. It feels good to feel good! Expect lots of energy and fast results if you stick with it.

Read it in one sitting. I’m a fan of Thomas and his wife, Brooke. I’m employing what I learned in the book in hopes that I can drop some fat and put on muscle.

Quick, easy read! Super motivating information, although a couple of pieces of advice has changed in recent years (from what I’ve seen online) but these are smaller things. The big picture is still sustained by the author.

I love the health focus and I love the emphasis of exercise being important, especially these days when everyone says to just worry about the food.

Wow what a great book for vegetarians and vegans but really anyone If you are looking to get into better shape. Whether it's gaining muscle or losing fat I believe this book is a great place to start, though some of the meal recs might seem a little unique, this is still a great book and I learned a lot from it! Thanks Thomas

A good amount of nutrition and exercise information to aid in fat loss and muscle building. Easy to read (in one sitting) and understand. Good ideas for raising fat-burning metabolism. So helpful toward building a strong, healthy body.
