Was an interesting read. Some of the writing didn't feel right for the overall story. Could of been left out and not made a difference. I am not sure if there is or will be a sequel. To me the ending happened too fast. Like: this is where the book ends so make it happen. I felt it left an opening for a sequel.

The story was good up to a point but I like an ending and this book left you questioning if Rod was the rapist or not. I think the reader should know since Lark got that strange message at the very end.

Enjoyable until the abrupt ending!!!

I enjoyed this book but found it anti-climactic. The abrupt ending left me wanting more. Would add more to my critique but it would ruin the ending for future readers!!

Wow what a nerve racking storyline!

I am still creeping out over this story! Still a little wondering at the 'three men turned one' who wasn't or was the dad! This one will stick around in my head for a while as I wanted clearer answers! Really well written!

Interesting plot and the story was great up to a point; the ending which I thought was very rushed as if the author had run out of steam and just wanted to get it done! It took me a while to 'take' to Lark and that reluctantly. Also the book has left me with the question of Rob and his role. It is not clear whether he was part of the group on that infamous night, whether he was an onlooker turned participant and we do not get to hear what he has to say about that night as he addresses Zane before the incident at the cabin. A sequel would be welcomed!

This is the first book I have read by this author, but it won't be the last.
I really liked Lark, the main character and was drawn into her story so much that I had to keep reading until I was done. I barely was able to put it down to eat dinner.
Gripping plot, interesting characters and lots of human angst make this book a winner.

This is the second book I have read from this author, and it did not disappoint. The first book I couldn't put down and read from cover to cover, and this one as well. The characters are well developed and fascinating, and she is an exceptional story teller! Will be reading everything else she produces!

3.5* This was a good read. The characters were very real and flawed and the story good. My only criticism is that reactions and behaviours didn't always felt true. They overreacted and got very angry for what really wasn't enough reason, in my opinion. Apart from that it felt as if I was reading about real people and that the story was really happening.

A story full of lies

I guess a person can act the way the three friends handed a delicate situation: raped, pregnant, and very young. Gave the baby up for adoption and went on with their lives until Ron Whalen enters their world.
Quite a few twists in this story. The book didn’t evolve smoothly and I had to go back and read several sections over.
