Author D’Marko has undoubtedly had great adversity to overcome in her life, but this book doesn’t just document her struggles from teenage years onwards, it is in fact an inspirational story that, I believe, others will be able to take great hope from, and get better perspective to face their own struggles in life. Certainly my own life has been nothing like D’Marko’s, but I felt a great affinity with her struggle and also take solace with which to face the challenges in my own life.

A fascinating and often uplifting read.
