The main thing I liked about this book is the title and the way that it handles time travel. It uses the mind of the older self to be inside of the body of the younger self. However, time borrowed has to come when the younger self is asleep. I am not sure how they justify the loss of sleep. The parts of the book when this is done is relatively minor, however. Most of the book is a thriller about all of these opposing war groups after one another. There is also a time travel crystal, but that is not used for the actual time traveling.

My main issue with the book is that I would have liked it to be longer, and develop the characters more. There are so many people in the story, and I barely got to be familiar with most of them.

Scientists as Heroes

This was such an interesting concept. I loved both books. The science was interesting, the story line was unique and exciting. The characters were very well developed and the reader wants them to succeed. To go back 32 years to impact the future, but then realize you had always gone back. The twists and story was so good I could not stop reading and hated that the books had to end. Jan, Nate, and rest of the scientists were heroes saving a future they would never see. One of my favorite series of this summer!

Very good story

Although there were a few drawn out sections, for the most part the story held my attention to the end.

Best Sci-fi

Time travel has been at the forefront of physics and the imagination of just about anyone who thought about it! This book was well researched and extremely well written to bring the characters to life, not only did the story allude to time travel to both the past and the future, but it was masterfully woven into a colorful and entertaining plot! My hats off to the author and though he bespoke through the written word I feel he deserves a standing ovation for sci-fi excellence!
