This Romance Short Story Was Formerly Titled Offside
This book had terrible dialogue and the grammar omg find a new editor. This a m/m story so why were the genders switched. was Marco a girl or boy?? Gees.
9/2/2018- ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!!! Man this was some real garbage. The story was awful and the writing was so annoyingly bad. The characters are 2 men named Eric and Marco yet Marco is referred to as her, she, and herself by mistake so often that it made me unnecessarily confused. Anyway I would never read this again or recommend it to anyone.....
What a cynical way to get people to read a book? Oh I know, let's change one of the main characters from a woman to a womanising straight man and who maybe gay for his footballing neighbour!
If you are going to do this at least get an editor that is consistent and makes all the relevant changes to that MC throughout the story. This is appalling work editorially and it should never have been released until properly proof read...

There was a a lot of grammatical errors between pronouns of his and her. It was hard to follow the story. Made it very uncomfortable to read. During one of the sex scenes between the two main characters there was even a reference to a female body part.
Van Cole offers a lot to read for free, which is nice. I'm definitely glad that I didn't pay for this. I'm on board for the basic plot, but the "relationship" happened way too fast. There are also a few distracting errors that throw a reader off; mostly moments where Mario became "she/her" when it was clearly he/his. A good editor could (should) catch & correct things like that.
Enjoyable enough to start with. Marco lusting after his new neighbour even though he'd never been interested in men. Short story that was riddled with errors. Marco even turns into a female at one point talking about her clitoris! Can't believe that wasn't caught!
This story reads like a "conversion" from a straight storyline to a gay one. I also got the feeling that the story was badly translated into English as some of the sentence structures are clunky to say the least. Avoid until a first rate editor is found to clear up the major errors in this book.
