This is the third book in the series and I really liked the first one but the second one pissed me off because of Ashley. This one has been in my Kindle Unlimited library for several months so I wanted to finally finish it. I should’ve quit while I was ahead and not even read this one. I really like Seth and Zee as a couple and reading the parts where they were together was good. I don’t know if it’s because I was a police officer for years or what but everything about the cases he’s working on, Ashley, and him being called home while on vacation just annoyed me. He’s supposed to be such a legendary detective that the instructors at the academy tell his tales to the recruits yet he couldn’t figure out immediately after hearing from the victims that they all had the same perpetrator ? He’s the only detective in the SUV unit that no one else could’ve done something ? A detective can’t just take some chick who just graduated off the desk and make her his partner. Zee needs to come give Ashley an old fashioned ass-whooping for her slutty behavior and it seems Seth loves the attention. This book left a horrible taste in my mouth and I’m done with this series and this author. I was incredibly generous giving this shit-show three stars.
