On a cold and blustery, snowy Saturday in late November, more than 111,000 people were crammed inside Michigan Stadium, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to watch the Michigan Wolverines play the Ohio State Buckeyes. It was a heated college football rivalry that had spanned more than a century.
No one inside the stadium was prepared for what would soon unfold. As the football was kicked into the snow-filled sky to start the game, long-foretold Bible prophecy came to pass right before their very eyes, causing many to vanish into thin air. Fear and panic filled the hearts of everyone still inside the stadium.
But what happened inside Michigan Stadium was only a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the world. In the blink of an eye, life as humanity had known it was forever changed when the Great Disappearing Act came to pass. More than one billion people either vanished or were killed in the aftermath of the Rapture.
Those still remaining were in for a world of trouble. In the coming days, with all banks and businesses closed, ATM machines not spitting out dollar bills and credit cards not being accepted for the time being, humanity was temporarily separated from their assets. Until the world came back online, so to speak, those without cash reserves would remain cashless.
As world leaders converged on NATO Headquarters in Belgium for an emergency summit, the pressure was on to find ways to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible. With embargoes temporarily lifted from insurgent countries, leaders from every nation on the planet were expected to attend.
Many urgent crises would be discussed over the next few days, from burying the scores of dead bodies littering the planet, to protecting the borders of each country, to stopping the serious price gouging going on in the world. But mostly, they had to find a way to prevent a global recession from swallowing them whole, causing the planet they inhabited to spiral even further out of control.
Little did most know who would rise up to lead the way, or how quickly he would do it...

Good book and series! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the story line isn't at all like the Left Behind series like some others, but is fresh and interesting. The books grab your attention immediately and don't let you go. Best of all is that the books are definitely Christian fiction. The characters that are Christian show what having Jesus as your savior looks like in real life. God is part of every page of these books. Since they're about the Tribulation, Satan is also well represented in the books. You soon see that everyone is serving either Jesus or Satan. I'm almost at the end of the series and everything has been scripturally sound so far. I'm sure the rest will be too. The only downside to the books is that they're a little short for my liking. I think it would be better if he made every 2 - 3 books in the series into one book. This review will be on each book in the series.
Edited to add: Another good point about this series is that it shows what the Tribulation will be like very realistically. I know that many seem to think that a judgment will happen, people will clean up after it, and then things will go back to normal - kind of like when a tornado hits somewhere now. They seemed to think that except for during the short times when a judgment was happening, everything would be fine. This series puts those lies to rest for good!
The author is following scripture and telling a story that will start you looking for Jesus. For those of us who love the Lord we look forward to this day. Come quickly Lord Jrsus.
The people of this boom are like the people of today, in fact it is our story. We have been dipped into believing we are the most important thing in the work, but it's not so. Jesus is alive and well
The AntiChrist is now walking the earth and most people don't realize this. The ones who know what will transpire are studying, teaching and waiting for the start of the rapture. The supposed signing of peace treaty for Israel will start the 7 yrs reign of the AntiChrist. Who will help to bring people to see what is really happening in the world.
Not only is the series a interesting one, but it is also an eye opener. It is a must read for Belivers & non belivers alike. I have always trusted that if we are willing to listen to that pull inside you & the nudge, our Spirit will lead you. Is it the ones that make fun of those who believe you want to follow, straight to hades? Or the Holy Spirit to the lord of lords?
Having read quite a few end times stories i have to admit this is totally different. Nothing against the other books I've read, I've enjoyed each one. But this one, I feel like this is a learning experience. Along with getting know all the characters feeling their shock, pain, sadness, elation, fear, there is also explanation of various verses from the Bible. For which I am most appreciative. Can't remember if i did a review for books one and two (because I was in a hurry to get into the next book), but you will not be disappointed with any of them. Now on to book four. Thank you Mr Higgins.
Good read and biblically accurate. One complaint is that there is website named lsarglobal.org. It is not what was described. It appears to be Christian,,,,,but.....
Wow! Just wow! I am learning so much from reading this series. Though fictional, it seems so real and lifelike to me. I can't wait for book 4 to be released. A definite MUST READ!
I wanted to like this siries...and it started ok but at 30% way of the third book I just can't anymore.
I'm just not a fan of the way the series is written. For example at the beginning of chapter 12 "Prior to the Phenomenon, America had become a nation full of rules and regulations. So much so that it nearly paralyzed most small business owners from conducting business, on a day-to-day basis.
Regulators were trained to look for one thing: what was wrong. And much like attorneys, whenever they spoke, whether or not you liked what they had to say mattered not; you usually got billed.
Except they didn’t call it a bill like attorneys did. They called it a fine. It had gotten so bad that if small business owners were fortunate to show a small profit at the end of the year, it was a minor miracle. In normal times, there was no way any bureaucratic regulator would allow an airplane to take off under such dicey conditions. It would have been unthinkable. But they were barred from showing up today, clipboards in hand, red flags flying and whistles blowing, looking for something petty to complain about."
So much of the series is just narrative with very little dialogue. And what dialogue there is, is pretty bland and doesn't really sound realistic. It feels like 75% of each book I've read has been narrative.
I am an avid reader and stories that have Biblical principles are what I tend to gravitate towards. Mr. Higgins not only writes about the Rapture but he also makes the fictional characters in his story come to life. I picked up the book and was so immersed into the story that I didn't realize I had read the whole book in one sitting. I can, and do, relate to Charles Galloway in that my Dad was a spirit-filled, born again who preached the FULL gospel, no matter whose toes he might step on. Me, I was a rebellious teen and even though I had to be in church EVERY TIME the doors were open, I didn't really put my whole heart into serving God. I wish now that I would have but Praise God HE GIVES SECOND CHANCES! THE Devil still plays in my mind but I know who knows my name, my Heavenly Father. I don't worry about the future because I know who holds my hand! I would/will recommend this series to anyone who wants to be positive of where they stand with God. The only time is will be too late to take that step is when you either missed the final call or you're being placed in the ground!
Just finished the third installment of this series and look forward to the next one. This installment begins with aftermath of the disappearance of millions of people and the governments of the world trying to decide how to move forward from the catastrophe. When chaos fills your life, people look for something to give them stability and hope. But where do they find that assurance? That is the question to be answered in this novel.
What I like most about this novel that envisions the Rapture and the Tribulation is how the author covers all the ramifications of what could happen. He gives you pause to think especially in light of the changes in our lives from our world pandemic.
Excellence in writing sells this writer short. His characters are believable and come alive in his prose. You get to know them and insert yourself into their presence as a literal observer. His indepth research of the Bible and description of end times leaves you hanging and thanking God that He has saved you and makes you want to run out and lead someone to Jesus, so do it! My only regret is that he doesn't write as fast as I read. This is probably the most important material he has ever written. I believe souls may be won through it. God bless you, Sir. Stop writing entertainment fiction and finish these 12 books. I truly believe this was ordained of God and He will use it greatly.
I was very happy to see the issue of doubt with whether or not you were truly saved and which religion was the right one. Not being a Catholic, I don't have to dwell on that issue. But, growing up Lutheran and then checking out different denominations looking for the one I felt comfortable with had given me a few shocks to my system while seeing the broad range of worship. I am pretty sure that many would wonder which is the right one. It really helped me to follow along while they faced some of the same concerns that I had during my own journey becoming a Christian. Thanks again to this great insightful author!!
This KU library selection is the continuation of the end times series, Chaos in the Blink of an Eye. As mentioned at the end of the book "......each of us will spend eternity at one of two places, based solely upon a single decision which must be made this side of the grave. That decision will be made crystal clear to each reader of these books." The Rapture occurred in book one and those left behind are trying to make sense of their new normal. For those who thought they were believers, some come to realize they were professing Christians on the outside only. Others cannot overcome their grief, while many others look for easy answers. The clock is ticking.
The first two books were great and this one’s not bad, but there were a few redundancies and enough so that it was noticeable. Also I will say, if you’re going to read this third installment, please, when a verse is mentioned, go read it for yourself, and not just the verse but the verses leading up to it. If you compare the scripture and the verses leading up it the verse mentioned you’ll understand why I ask that you read it for yourself. Other than that it was an okay read.
The major life changing event for planet earth if the rapture has already taken place . With questions and chaos abounding the stage is set for the Anti Christ , but who will it be and will a few Bibles change the course of the lives off those they were left for ? Open up and find out but be careful you will find yourself so immersed in the story that time will fly by and itnwillntime.to read the next installment . Grab a journal and your Bible and be ready for what you learn
I’m devouring these books! After reading the first one I bit the bullet and bought all that have been written and wish I knew when book 8 would be coming out (anyone know?). The writing is excellent, the characters more than believable and the message, though frightening for some, is encouragement for Christians everywhere to tell others they don’t have to die without a Savior who loves them. My heart breaks for anyone who reads these books and has any doubts about their future after death.
Whatever your POV concerning End Times events, this book can prove enlightening about this author's (and many theologians') particular Pre-trib stance. Although my own studies have brought me to a different conclusion I'm certainly not ready to proclaim my POV to be "the way it really is" (and I certainly won't complain if I'm wrong and Bro. Patrick is right!) Do...do...DO read this good series. It will get you thinking about the days that may well be soon upon us and might even spur you on to research the different senarios offered.
The pace of the storyline in this *book is decidedly different from the prior to this. Rather than an action thriller, we get an update close and personal view of the struggles, both spiritually and emotionally, of the protagonists' lives. Moving and intimate, making believers reassess their relationship with God, and the lives they lead. *3rd in the series
Everything has been played out for the tribulation period to start! I really love how these thing are going how the Characters are being set up! Next is the tribulation, now thing are going to get really bad for the Christians! Fixing to start the next book! If your a Christian and you believe in the rapture and tribulation these book are awesome and for you!!
The third book in the Chaos In The Blink Of An Eye series The Unveiling is another loved and five-star book from me. The story just keeps getting better and better. I keep looking for glimpses that the story is changing to explain what happened but nothing yet. It's well worth reading because you don't get to lift your head you're so lost in the book that before you know it the last page has arrived. Brilliant book.
What's happening after the rapture occurs. The reader goes on a journey to answer that question. The financial institution is down. The world is in chaos.
This book is two parts. A fiction story of what happens. I like that. It's interesting and suspenseful. The other part is teaching. I'm okay with it but have to be in the mood to be taught.
Though there were some editing issues, the story and adventure and the suspense more than made up for the errors. All Christians should read this book as the author gives some great insight and compelling scriptural evidence for what encompasses true Christianity. This was a great read for anyone who's interested in salvation or Christianity.
You read books about end times but they dont usually make a lot of sense to me. But this one did open my eyes to things that I should be doing too. I need to make sure that my family is ready when the rapture comes. I am starting to memorize verses so I can help others come to christ. Thank you
Mr Higgins is right on target with the future headlines and his characters has me spellbound on whst will happen next. I have sent out an email to 70 + family and friends about the future Rapture and Tribulation to follow. I gave the Good News of the Gospel as the way to Salvation through Christ. This book has given me the desire to share.
More detail that gives great insight to questions.
Yes, this book is fictional but so many non believers ask questions about end times and this book gives insight and probability to them. The Bible is ultimate authority but this book is valuable to encourage others to think good and hard about their lives outside of Christ.
This is a modern time "Left Behind"type series so far and I'm loving it. It's well written and even includes a lot of scripture from The Holy Bible. I will be recommending it to many friends and would highly recommend it to every christian so that we can put a fire under ourselves and get the word out before its to late.
This is a really terrific series! I have downed the first 3 books in about 5 days. All are exciting, interesting, and very hard-to-put-down. Loads of great characters, whom I have really come to care about. And I really appreciated the Revelation commentary that our newly-converted brothers heard on the LSAR website. That information really helped me!!
