There are many things that we all believe yet do not experience. We all want victory, yet few find it. One of our greatest frustrations is that much of what we believe really doesn’t work. Too often we spend our lives struggling with the same issues. The feeling of defeat can be agonizing. It is as if we are caught in a maze of formulas and rules. We know there’s something missing, but we’re not sure what. In our search for truth, we lose our way among the dos and don’ts of religion. Christians everywhere have been missing the truth about grace--and the result is defeat and frustration. In this life-changing book, Dr. James Richards unfolds the mystery of grace. You will find the power to overcome instead of repeatedly seeking forgiveness. You will conquer personal issues instead of enduring them. You will discover God’s power of effortless change instead of your best effort to change. This reality will transform everything you are experiencing with God. The Power to Change will bring you into the dimension of Christian living that Jesus called “easy and light.” This is a must-read for every believer!
There is rich and essential truth about God's grace in this book, however, I would encourage caution and discretion when reading it because the author mishandles much of the Scripture he refers to. As I read this book, I felt like I had to work harder to "weed" through the various statements and arguments not based on sound doctrine to get to the truth.
The author believes that Jesus was able to sin during his life on the earth, but that He chose not to because He had God's grace (ability). This is not taught anywhere in Scripture, and his basis for saying this comes from Luke 2:40, "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him." Richard's argument here is that Jesus was not born with the grace (ability) of God, but grew in it. I think this is a very dangerous teaching, as the Scripture is clear that He was fully God and fully man. It is impossible for God to sin. He can do nothing contrary to His own character and nature. To suggest that Jesus was born without this ability to keep from sin, but grew in God's ability throughout His life, suggests that Jesus was not fully God, but "grew" into His divinity.
This is one such example of a very messy interpretation of Scripture. Unfortunately, Dr. Richard's bases many of his teachings in this book upon similar concepts and ideas.
Other than the Bible, the most important Christian book I've ever read. NOW I understand that Christianity is not about measuring up. NOW I understand how He really CAN live inside of us. What freedom and hope!
Are you struggling with sin in your Christian life? Maybe a "besetting" sin that you just can't seem to experience victory over? Then this book is for you. Richards shows in this thorough book how Grace is a power-source that allows us to defeat sin through Jesus Christ once and for all, and even live without sin for days or weeks at a time, by living a life completely yielded to the Holy Sprit and empowered by the grace of God, and not by human willpower or sheer determination. He shows us that there is a better way to live that is truly empowered by the Holy Spirit, and that we are not alone in this daily walk through life, and we need not face our battles alone. I found this book tremendously helpful in helping me to live a more sanctified life through the Holy Spirit, one that is empowered by grace, not by fear.
Interesting. I loved the author's revelation on Grace and especially on correcting your image of God (God can't hold you to a standard higher than His). This message is desperately needed especially in today's world.

Jim Richards' Heart Physics program was the start of a life-changing journey for me. This is a very powerful book - I was underlining and starring so many parts that I finally realized, this is a book to read again and again. He presents truth in a clear way, there is nothing mysterious or unattainable about it - but that doesn't mean it's easy!!
That's a spiritual milk, but how delicious it is!. Some kind of practical user guide to living in and by God's grace. Absolute must read for new belivers and people who needs more God's power in their lives.
This is an excellent book about the grace of God and how that, in and of itself - when we embrace and walk in it, will cause us to overcome in this life.
That we have the same power that Jesus used to raise people from the dead! Also that we must believe that when God promises, He means it. And He loves us so very much!
